If there was anything more that Tahigwa loved more than anything else in the world, it was being a mother. Her girls were perfect little angels, in her eyes at least, and Aisha couldn't have bestowed upon her a better gift. Except maybe triplets, but that was a bit of a stretch, wasn't it? Twins were enough fun and exercise. The blade laughed at her own thoughts as she carried her basket of supplies and rounded the corner to where her daughters were playing.
"Alright, girls! I've got the supplies!" She said, placing her basket upon the ground. "Who wants to have their hair done first?"

Joweese had been high up in a tree when her mother returned and squealed at the sight of the supplies in the basket. She loved it when her mother wanted to braid and style their hair, it was one of her favorite things to do! She slid off the tree and skipped towards her mother, before turning her gaze skyward.
"Zahra! Mom's back!" She cried. "Do you want to get your hair done first?"

Zahra jerked her head up hearing first her mother calling out to them, talking about having the supplies, and then heard her twin calling out asking if she wanted to get her hair done first. The youngling was on her feet instantly, with Sticky instantly climbing up her back to drape over her shoulders, before hurrying forward, "Me! Me! I will go first!" She called out, rushing to her mother's side and came to a sliding home in front of her.
She looked up at her mother, giving her a bit, toothy grin, and held up a hand, "I'll go first!" She said in an excited manner, her antennae twitching a little out of sync from each other. Turning to Sticky she reached up, catching hold of her spoiled pet, and peeled him off of her shoulders, "Alright, you go and see Jojo, alright? I am going to get my hair done all pretty!" She told him, waving at him. The chubby alol flicked his tongue out at Zahra before trotting over to Joweese, climbing up her.
"Good boy, Sticky! You protect Jowejo!" She told her pet before looking at Tahigwa again, "I want my hair all pretty and fancy! Done up perfectly with all the ribbons, decoration, jewels and stuff!" She chirped, fluffing her hair with her hands, trying to look as serious as possible though it only lasted so long before started to giggle, "Or just in twin aldabuk tails."

Tahigwa laughed as Zahra appeared and set to taking the items she'd brought out of the basket. Combs, multiple jars of beads, ribbons, and a few odd jars of dye, all picked from her room back in Andile. Honestly, if her profession had been up to her and not her tribe, she would've been far more comfortable styling hair for the remainder of her days. Her lips pursed and curved into a smile as Zahra more or less handed Sticky over to Joweese and detailed just how she wanted her hair done, another laugh bursting out from her chest.
"Why not both? I hear fancy Aldabuck tails are all the rage in Tale!" She said, patting the earth in front of her. "Sit right here and pick out the things you'd like in your hair, girls, and I'll get started on those tails!"

Joweese giggled as Sticky crawled up onto her shoulders, disturbing Bani the sprite from her usual resting place behind Joweese's hair. The Sprite chirped and wiggled, before perching upon Sticky like a rider on it's mount, eliciting another round of giggles from the youngling they sat upon. She then turned, skipped, and swiveled into a seated position in front of Tahigwa's basket.
"Oh, wow! You brought a lot of stuff, mom!" She exclaimed, her hands hovering around like a bird over it's prey. What was she going to pick? Blue beads? Yellow ribbons? Her cheeks scrunched up in excitement. Whatever she picked, her mother would surely make her beautiful! She was the best hairdresser in all of Tendaji, after all! Her gaze traveled round and round the items and eventually connected with a jar of dye. Eagerly, the youngling scooped it up and waved it about.
"Mommy! Can you dye my hair?" She asked, grabbing a few more jars of dye. "I wanna have lots of colors! Lots and lots of colors!"

Zahra's antennae set to twitching out of sync from each other, a thoughtful look on her face as she thought about 'fancy tails'. Did she want fancy tails? They would be fun if they were done right she was thinking before turning to look at her twin as she asked about hair dye. Her dark eyes went wide then, "Dye? You're gonna dye your hair?" She asked, considering it. Tei-Lulu had nice, pretty, golden hair... but at the same time Zahra liked her black hair how it was color wise. Still, she couldn't let her sister get all fancy without her! She'd have to do something with her hair for certain! Plopping down in front of her mother she said, "I want feathers! Pretty ones to decorate my tails! Can they be the same color Sticky, maybe? I love purple! Oh! Can I get some of those pretty rings like the older sisters have? That would be nice!" She clapped her hands together at that thought. The rings always sound so pretty, the way that they clinked together when the sisters moved! She wanted to hear that same sort of sound from her own hair! It would be great to bounce around through the branches of the trees with rings of her own!

Tahigwa's eyes widened as she was presented with orders for jars of dye, feathers, and all sorts of other crazy things and settled into another laugh. Her girls were just like her, always wanting to be adorned and beautiful, no matter the cost! She shook her head towards Joweese and nodded to Zahra.
"Why not just one vial of dye, Joweese? It'll be easier!" She said, motioning for Zahra to turn around. "Yes, yes, you can have all the purple feathers and rings that Jauhar will allow, Za-Za, and you will be stupendous!"
She laughed before setting to undoing Zahra's pigtails and separating the dreads.
"Sooo... Did you do anything crazy while I was gone?" She asked, smirking to herself. "Dye anyone's things, maybe?"

Joweese frowned. Just one? How could she pick just one color? She loved all the colors! Her antennae drooped a little as she placed the dyes she'd picked back on the ground and mused over them. Pink like Mother Aisha's blossoms, orange like the color of the sun, teal like mama's blades... How was he supposed to make such a big decision? She was just a kid! This was too big of a choice for her to take on by herself! Her eyes went immediately to Zahra with a pleading look.
"Za-Za! Help me pick a color!" She whined, waving her hands at the jars. "I can't pick just one color! All the colors are super pretty!"
Then, her mother's next question was posed, and she was sent into a fit of giggles.
"Sammy's face was so funny when he saw his hair, huh mom?" She laughed, kicking her legs about. "Za-Za and I are master pranksters, aren't we, ZA-ZA?"

Zahra threw her hands into the air in a happy manner, "Did you hear that, Jowe-Jo? I get all the purple feathers and rings that will be allowed! That will look so amazing! I can't wait!" She dropped her hands back into her lap, looking up at her mother with a bright smile, as she set about undoing the current, plain tails that she had her hair up in. They would get separated, cleaned up, and then made into a far more fancy style, something that she'd show off to everyone the family several times over and then all their friends! "Help you pick a color?" She looked at the various colors of dye for a moment, then grinned as she said, "I would say that you should definitely do purple but I know that is my favorite, not yours, so... hmm. Oh! Maybe a pretty red like the color of lotus blossoms?" Those were beautiful flowers and Jowe would be equally as pretty with red in her hair or so Zahra felt. "Anything, crazy?" She asked, glancing up at her mother, then over to Jowe to see what she thought, giving a giving sound when she instantly admitted to it. No reason to try to hide what they did from their mother it would appear, "Not just his things! He was sleeping at the time and we dyed him too! He's soooo pretty with pink hair, Momma! Did you get to see? Or is Sammy-Sam still in hiding?" She asked, then snickered, nodding rapidly as Jowe claimed that they were 'master pranksters' something she agreed with completely.

Tahigwa raised her head and looked between her daughters, before bursting into a fit of laughter of her own. Samoset had looked like a frightened Radaku in all his pink, ashamed glory. Joweese and Zahra had done a great job on him! However, being the mother of these master pranksters had earned her a stern chat with her big brother, even if it had ended with them laughing it off. Yaholo wasn't exactly happy to have his day disrupted over his son throwing a fit because he was dyed pink, something she understood. Still, it was hilarious.
"Ooooh, I saw alright!" She exclaimed, nodding. "Uncle Yaho came right up to me with him and told me to tell you off, but I decided that doing your hair would be much more fun. You did a great job! How did you dye all his things without waking him up? If I ever tried such a thing on your uncle, I would've been tossed about! You girls have gift!"
She undid one of Zahra's pigtails and straightened it out before moving to do the other, her eyes moving to Joweese.
"I don't know about red, maybe pink or teal?" She said, brushing Zahra's hair.

Joweese pursed her lips and poked at the vials of dye. She hadn't considered red, actually, but nodded along with her mother's advice. Purple didn't sound so bad, or teal, but pink was out of the question. That color was reserved for Samoset and Samoset only! She giggled to herself and continued to go through her choices as her mother and sister spoke.
"He slept right through it, mama!" She laughed, lifting a jar of light blue dye to inspect it. "I don't think he would've woke up if we made noise, either! It was super easy!"
She continued to go through the dye in a frustrated manner and started to sort them by the colors she liked. Light blue was pretty, so was the lavender, white was nice, green was a maybe... Ugh! It was just too hard for her to pick!
"Mama, pleeeeeeeaaaasssseee, can I pick more than one dye?" She asked, giving her mother puppy eyes. "PLEEEEASSSSE?"

Zahra couldn't help it as she burst into laughter, "Samoset sleeps like a rock! It made it all too easy to get in, spread the dye about, and then get out without him even realizing it." She said in a delighted manner. The fact that they had actually been able to dye Samoset himself was what made the whole thing so very worth it. There was nothing better then seeing their uncle all bright and pretty! It wasn't the most permanent of dye, they weren't that mean, but the fact that it would last for at least a time was good enough to her.
Giving a little chuckle she said, "I doubt that it would be easy to dye Uncle Yaya, but that could be funny. Hmm, maybe green or blue? Oh! You know we could put the dye in his shampoo!" It was something that had her giggling, as though it was the best idea ever in the history of ever. That would be pretty fun and if it worked they could try hiding dye in other things as well just to mess with people.
Looking between her mother and her twin Zahra's antennae gave a twitch before she said, "We should make Jowe into a rainbow!" She said, clapping her hands together in delight at the thought, wondering how much dye they would need to gather to be able to do so.

"I highly recommend not trying to dye your uncle." Tahigwa chuckled, moving to undo Zahra's other pony tail. "He'd be absolutely beside himself for days, girls. A mopey Yaholo is like looking at a sad puppy. You don't want to make your uncle a sad puppy, do you?"
She continued to listen to Joweese and Zahra as she combed out Zahra's second ponytail, her hands moving slowly and gently along each section of dreading. The design for Zahra's new hairstyle was already forming in her mind along with another one of her trademark smirks. She'd make her daughter's the envy of every youngling within miles!
"Wait, rainbow?" She squeaked, her eyes darting up from her work. "... Well, if applied correctly, it could look interesting... How about it, Joweese? Do you want your hair to be every color I have?"

Joweese's puppy eyes relented and gradually grew wide. Rainbow dreads? The youngling was stilled, as if the thought was almost too much for her to wrap her head around. Could she really have all the colors of the rainbow in her hair? Her lips puckered and retracted, before her hands went back to sorting the dye again. She placed each color in rainbow order and took a breath in, almost as if she were making the single most important decision of her life, and let it out slowly.
"... I dunno about rainbooow." She sighed, poking her finger against a jar.
On one hand, if she had rainbow hair, people might spot her easier if she were hiding. But, on the other hand, she'd have the prettiest hair in the history of forever. Her lips pursed again before, finally, she nodded.
"Okay! I want to be rainbow!" She giggled, waving her hands in the air. "I'll be the best rainbow ever!"

Zahra's antennae gave a little out of sync twitch before she finally nodded, "I will consider skipping him then, I wouldn't want to see Unc Yayo burst into tears, that would be kind of scary." At the same time it might almost be something interesting to see. She supposed that it would all come down to whether or not she and Jowe got so bored that the only option left to them was teasing their softhearted uncle. Surely there would be other things to do before that became their own source of fun though, right? She'd like to believe it at least.
Giving a clan of her hands at her mothers squeak she said, "Yes! Rainbow! That's where I want to put my vote!" Even if she'd already voted for purple she didn't care, she'd just change her vote from purple to rainbow was all. Turning to look at her sister she held her breath, her eyes glittering with excitement as she waited to hear what Jowe's final decision would be.
When she finally declared that not only would she be a rainbow, but the best one ever, Zahra gave a cheer, "That's the spirit, sis! Time to become the best rainbow you can be! Well... at least once Mom is done with my hair that is." Something that had her giggling a bit. The fact that Jowe had made such an exciting decision but still had to wait for Zahra's hair to be done. Glancing up at her mother Zahra said, "Probably good that I am going first since Jowe's hair is gonna be far more complicated, huh?" All she wanted was pretty fiddly bits, those should be far easier to do then what her sister wanted meaning she might be watching for a while once her hair was done. No matter, it would give her time to plot against... well, whoever came to mind really.
