As he had expected, Raven had returned to him. Snuggled up nicely, and hadn't said anything about her phone call. It might not have been an ideal night, but she had come back to him, and when he woke up the next morning, it was next to her beautiful face.
He assumed all that emotional stuff would have left her tired, so he snuck out of bed, threw on some clothes, and got to work in the kitchen. He took care of what he needed to; after their brief talk last night after her phone call she had mentioned California again, so it seemed like those plans were still on. After some text badgering, he ensured his shifts would be covered, and set about making a quick breakfast. It wasn't anything fancy, just a toasted English muffin, a piece of sausage and some scrambled eggs for each of them. In the time it took to prepare that, he had packed all the necessities—which, wasn't much, considering Raven could get him to wherever he needed to if he needed anything.
He didn't know if she was still sleeping, but he was humming to himself when he entered with the two plates, carefully balancing the last of his orange juice in two glasses. "Rise and Shine, Beautiful. The sun is calling and we have places to be."

She had woken up when his warmth had disappeared, and there she sat, rubbing at her eyes and letting out a huge yawn when he entered the room. “Morning, Zack…That smells nice. Did you cook it for me?”
Mornings were really not her thing, especially after how exhausting the night before had been…and just…everything.
But…things were on a very uphill turn, starting with this breakfast. She held her hands out and took the little sandwich and took a huge bite out of it. “Oh Zack, this is delicious. I didn’t realize I was so hungry…thank you. When we’re done wit this, we can head out and get to California. It might take a few days of driving…but hey. We’ll save on hotel costs…right?”
Raven finished the sandwich and stood up, stretching. “Well. I should get dressed, I suppose…” Even though she was really comfortable in what she was wearing…she couldn’t go to California in only a tee shirt…Even though…she kind of wanted to. Well…s**t.
“I can just get dressed later.” She pulled out her henshin pen and powered up into Sailor Lesath, sighing as she did so. “Ready to head back to my car? Because, I sure am.”

Zack eyed her uniform and whistled appreciatively. "Well, I was ready, now I just sort of want to stare for a few more minutes."
…But he didn't want to risk that there was another powered person out there who might use her energy signature to track him down. He was relatively smart about not powering up too close to home, but when Raven—or whatever her name was now—was standing in front of him, in that?
Well, hell, it was hard to want to leave the bedroom.
He took a bite of the sandwich, downed his drink, and then set the glass on the table before he walked to the girl and wrapped his arm around her waist.
"All right, all right. I guess we can get this show on the road. You, ah," he used their closeness to sneak a peak down her top, but he quickly met her gaze and grinned. "You can worry about getting dressed later. I'm ready to hit the road. You gonna drive in that, or…?"
He helped himself to another bite of breakfast, and though he was relying on Raven to Mirrorwalk them to her car, he seemed quite content to keep his hand resting on her hip until then.

Lesath grinned, laughing and giving a little twirl, following it up with a curtsy. “Well. I’m guessing you like the fuku then, hm? When I’m powered up like this, I’m called Lesath, Dark Mirror Senshi of Moths.” She flipped her hair over her shoulder and rested against him when his arm slid around her waist.
This was nice. This was nice attention…and she still enjoyed it…even if she most likely shouldn’t. “Well, I’m completely ready to head out, and no. I’m not going to drive in this, I’m going to drive in my…er. Your tee shirt and…” She reached down, picking up her shoes and the rest of her clothes. “…I can change into this in the car, so that works. But…yeah. Let’s go, Zackie-poo.”
The senshi winked and tugged him towards the mirror. “I hope you’re ready for this…if you don’t have everything…well…deal with it I suppose.” She took a step into the mirror, dragging Zack with her. After a short walk through mirrorspace, Lesath resurfaced in the back of her car, climbing out of the mirror.
“Ta da. Back where we started last night.”

Zack grunted as he tried to maneuver into a comfortable position when they got out of the mirror; it wasn't necessarily unpleasant to Mirrorwalk, but trying to get into the car comfortably could have gotten a lot better.
"I've got everything," he said as he wormed his way around. "And if I don't have it," he flashed her a grin. "I'll just grab it when we go back to my place tonight. That's my favorite shirt, you know, so you'd best be taking care of it."
They were going to have a long drive ahead of them, but hell—his shirt wasn't that long. He'd be looking at more than just cows.
And hopefully learning more about her, and everything she stood for.
Car rides were a great opportunity to bullshit, get information.
Swap secrets.
"Hope you've got a lot of fun car ride games in mind. I'd hate for a single moment of this trip to be boring."

Lesath smoothly made the switch back to Raven and slid into the driver’s seat. “Well…” She slipped her shoes on her bare feet and sighed. “I don’t know about car games…but…I’m sure we can figure out something fun to do or talk about to pass the time.” Raven stretched and turned the key in the ignition. “Let’s burn some rubber, Zack. I’m so ready to get out of here and start my life’s new adventure. This is going to be pretty damn awesome, if I do say so myself.”
She glanced behind her and backed out of the parking spot, quickly pulling back onto the highway. “…Buckle Up, Zackie-poo. Let’s put this s**t hole behind us.”
The excitement could almost be tasted in the air, at least for her. After a few moments, the blonde reached over, taking Zack’s hand, eyes on the road, and the biggest smile on her face.
