'Higher! I gotta get higher! One more branch - then another. Don't stop until I'm at the top!'
The thin branches protested as she continued to climb higher, the whole of the trunk starting to sway with each foot she moved upward. Khaleesi had most definitely climbed higher trees in her time, but this one was proving to be one of the more difficult. For one, the branches were clustered in random spots along the trunk, meaning she sometimes had to jump or scrunch up at awkward times. Another reason might also be the fact that this region was in the middle of a drought - the branches wanting to crack more often than bend due to the lack of hydration.
"Almost there!" she muttered between clenched teeth, struggling to pull herself up on the increasingly delicate limbs. If she fell from this height she probably wouldn't die, but she'd definitely be really hurt and unable to move much for a couple of weeks. (She hadn't gotten her dad's wings, but she HAD gotten his light bones - which was probably one of the reasons she could climb as high as she could without snapping the branches under her completely off.) In fact, if anyone was to look up at her from the ground, they'd think she was an exceptionally fat squirrel.

Aspen happen to be in the forest, was it more like she lived there but to most it just seemed that she was the crazy lady who talked to plants but that was another story. She moved carefully through the meadow of flowers giggling happily from all the silly jokes her friends were telling her.
There was a small creak from some tree to just the left of her and her small ears stood straight up on her head. She wondered what it could be. She was rather deep into the woods today and most people did not venture this far so she wondered if the animals were out to greet her today.
She moved over to the tree and looked up to see a rather large body in the tree. She let out a small giggle and spoke! "Hello there! What are you doing up there? she cokcing her head to the side.

Khaleesi had done it! She'd reached the top of the rather impressive sized tree! There was a wonderful feeling of accomplishment, staring out at all the treetops that were below her new eye level. Truly, there was nothing more satisfying to her than having finally reached the top. 'You, know, at some point, I could write a self-help book. The title needs to be something catchy. 'Climbing your own trees'. Yeah, that's good.' she thought, a contented smile situating itself on her lips.
However, the voice of someone calling out to her spooked her. Badly. So badly that she almost fell from her perch and made a rather ugly splat on the ground below. Catching onto a branch to steady herself (and her heart!), she cautiously looked down. It was... a girl? She was wearing something metallic, too, if the wildly glittering lights coming off her were anything to judge by. Whatever the girl had said, however, she hadn't caught.
"Come again?" she hollered back, tilting her head. Perhaps the stranger would repeat themselves loud enough she could hear them? However, she quickly changed her mind. "Nevermind! I'll come down! Just wait there!" she said, carefully stepping onto lower branches. They complained from her weight, but held reasonably well.
It was going to be a long climb down.
