Raphael looked back once more at his mate and the four precious boxes she was curled around protectively. There was his world all cozy and secure in the hidden cave near his shrine. As if she sensed his need for reasurance Gabriel lifted her head, "We'll be just fine, Raphael. Go welcome your guests. I trust your judgement and since you're willing to call the male a friend, I'm sure all will be well."Raphael smiled fondly at his Gabriel. "Thank you dear. I do wonder what brings Rodimus back up here with his companion. I'll try not to be away too long or too far." When she smiled and settled back down to doze, he left the cave and took to his wings, to watch and observe the guests that were nearing his home and the shrine where he met those in need of guidance and healing. Rodimus led the sometimes slow way up into the mountains. It had been a while since he'd first traveled this way and stumbled upon the shrine. He'd been an angry young ulaya still finding his way on his own in the world. The time he'd spent there with the healer had helped him deal with the issues of abandonment that had haunted him. Roddy had visited after that because Raphael was good company and traveling in the mountains had their own soothing affect on his spirit.
He had no doubt that the draco'ula knew he was coming. Raph always knew and would be waiting at the shrine when they got there.
He looked over to his companion, "This is all looking very familiar now, Dash," he said assuredly. He looked up at the sun making it's way across the sky. "We should be there around mid-day..."

"Mmmm... This place better be cool- if we're traveling up all this way." Sticking out her tongue and nudging his shoulder with hers, then she jumped up and let her wings take flight. Floating above him and making tricks and twirls up above him. As she followed, she tried to keep her mind busy by remembering the trees around them and watched the creatures of the mountains. Taking about what they did, how they jumped- what they were carrying and how their coloration differed.
"Hehe- I guess those hooved things have better balance than us. Such slender bodies, able to jump the mountain's slopes.. Just look at them go.." Watching a hooved creature graceful jump down, rock to rock on the harsh terrain that she felt immune to since she could simply fly over.
Then after a few, she slowly made her way to land beside him. Nudging his shoulder with her own. Giving him a soft smile. The rainbow floating around her as it naturally did. Orbitting around her like a moon and she, the planet. Her tail waving behind her impatiently yet but not wanting to complain just yet. Although she was at the brink of doing so. Then after a few silent moments.
"The bore of walking is absorbing my SOUUULLL~~ Where-ever we're going~ IS TAKING FORRREEVVVERR~~~~~UURRGGG~~" Being dramatic as she spoke and even the rainbow made signals of simply 'dying' and becoming limp upon it's master.

Raphael flew high above his approached guests and watched. The dynamic between the two was amusing. And as he watched the female's dramatic poses he had to hold back his laughter. He was tempted to land and welcome them then and there, to rescue his friend from more. Still that wouldn't be fair to Rodimus, who must be able used to such behavior by now if they'd journeyed this far together. He must give his guests the full experience of approaching the shrine. So after watching a little longer the draco flew back to the circle of stones that was his home. There were a few preparations to be made for a proper welcome.... Roddy just shook his head. "Of course it's cool," he replied, grateful for the calming affect of the mountains. "Besides, do you or don't you want to meet a draco'ula?" he challenged.
He looked up and watched her fly as well as he could while still keeping to the trail. It was good to see her flying so easily now, he envied her that ability sometimes. Still being grounded just meant that he had other strengths, strength he'd needed when she'd been recovering.
When she observed the native creatures he smiled. "When you live in a territory you adapt to it. There are ulaya that live in the mountains all the time that manage better than visitors."
He gave her a gentle nudge. "Come on, how can you be bored in a place like this?" he waved a paw to take in the scenery. "I'm sorry to have you stuck with a slow landdweller like myself... I do hope it's not too much tedium for you?" he pouted, the twinkle in his eyes showing he was teasing.
Not long after the path began to curve down as they approached the mountain glade that housed the shrine... A swath of green warmed by natural hot springs that bubbled to the surface just out of sight, but for their steam. A circle of huge stones with a pile of stones in the center topped by a flat rock, perfect for perching upon. The center is surrounded by curiously smoothed, seemingly undisturbed white sand. Other flat topped stones dot the space, perfect for those coming to seek guidance from a teacher perched atop the central shrine, a welcoming fire burns in the cairn between central shrine and audience stones. Unlit torches sit in sconces on the circle stone, ready to light the night when needed. The shrine itself boast a cleverly hidden entrance to the hot spring cavern below. It is near this entrance that Raphael awaits his guests' approach.... Chi Sohma (want a chance for Dash to react to the place before Raph makes his entrance)

She was doing bounds in the air, til she had cuddled up close to him on land. Nudging him and having him nudge back. "Of COURSE I wanna meet one. But how do I know your not LEADING ME to my certain doom." Squinting her eyes and closing the space between them, her lips nearly just a hair away from his cheek. "Hey. It can happen." Giving him a wide grin before she looked ahead again. "But their still landdwellers. But I met from this high~~~~" Looking over to the mountain's edge. "You could get some height here. Wanna find out?" She snickered and nudged him again. Flicking her tail and waving it behind her.
It was then that the rainbow lifted it's 'end' and bolted away in front of them. "HEY YOU! WHERE YOU GOING!?" She looked back at Roddy before giving him a concerned look, then dash away.
In her wake, just the rainbow blurr of her tail as she slowly started to gain her speed back. Galloping all the way until a sharp stop. Where the rainbow had suspended itself in to a wave in front of the draco.....
Lighting the way to for Dash to find him easier. But she didn't seem him right away. No... she had stopped for the sheer fact that the shrine had been MUCH bigger than she anticipated. Much more beautiful. Yet the feeling of honest humility caused her to slowly and cauiously start to explore. "WOW~~~~~~" She held the note as she gazed around in full amazement. This was cool. REALY COOL. Like... 100% more cooler. "RODDY~ I THINK WE FOUND IT!" She called out to him before looking to find her rainbow companion.

Raphael was surprised to suddenly have a rainbow dancing in front of him. He'd noticed the presence with Rodimus's friend but didn't realize fully that it was indeed it's own entity. "Why hello there," he said greeting the rainbow. "I should welcome my other guests." Since he was discovered and he didn't really want to make this entrance too obvious he stepped outside and took to his wings. He flew to his perch atop the center shrine. He smiled down at Dash but for the moment remained silent.Rodimus wondered why the rainbow was reacting so strangely to being so close to the shrine. He raced forward following Dash and their friend. He took note of where the rainbow had gone and grinned, being considered a friend of the shrine he knew where Raphael would likely be waiting. Dash didn't seem to notice exactly where the rainbow had stopped. Roddy noticed the motion as Raph left the cave but instead focused on Rainbow Dash's reaction.
"Yes, this is the place," he replied smiling but otherwise letting her take it all in.

Chi Sohma The rainbow started flashing then followed after the dragon like it could almost keep up but then it fell majorly back.
Dash was trotting around the place when she heard Rod confirm that this shrine was it. Smelling the fresh scent of mountains.. It was beautiful. "Well come on you slow poke! I wanna explore D Which she really didn't wait for him as her paws found ground all over this place. Astounded, awes and wows... Til she was just under the shrine's entrance to wait for him til a gust of wind hit her from above...
Her fur rose on ends... Then slowly she looked up and didn't even fully see him before she let out a stream and ran towards Rod. Nearly tackling him down causing them to roll and when they stopped. "RODDYYY THERES A MONSTER AND THEN IT WAS GUNNA EAT ME AND WE SHOULD DEFINATELY GET OUT OF HERE OR IT WONT BE ABLE TO SAVE YOU AND WEEERREE GUNNNA DDIIIIEEE!!" Scrambling to get up as she was just about to leave him, turned back and started dragging him by his feet with all her wing and fight!

For Raphael the reaction was like a blow and he just lay on his perch, his head down. He was glad Gabriel was up in the mountain lair because her reaction would have been swift for the insult to her mate. Raphael instead looked to his friend, Rodimus to see how he would respond. Roddy smiled as Raphael took his perch, the final step in the draco's routine to welcome new visitors. Even knowing Dash's flair, nothing could have prepared him for what happened next... He thought she'd had at least some awareness of the draco'ula when he'd asked her about coming here. But her instant reaction of fear showed him otherwise. He caught the hurt in Raphael's eyes before he was tackled by Dash.
Stunned by everything it took him a moment to pull himself out of the shock enough to realize Dash was trying to pull him away. "Dash!" he called putting his strength into pulling her down. "Stop it, please Dash. No one is going to hurt you. Calm down and look will you..." It was very very hard to keep the snap out of his voice as he informed her, "That's our host! Draco'ula, remember?"

Chi Sohma She was loyalty, not the unfearful. Squinting her eyes and she looked at the Draco up and down. They were much bigger than them of course. "Ha- I was only joking-" Puffing up her chest as she finally realized she wasn't in danger. "I just wanted to see your reaction to a big giant-" She was about to go on, but saw that the Draco was clearly starring in to her soul.
"Draco. You know- it's my first time seeing one of yous." Straightening herself and bowing her head. "Nice to meet'cha." A nervous chuckle and a half later, her ears went back again.
"You can call me Dash..." Highly embarrassed over her actions, with a bright pink shade over her face as evidence.

Roddy felt horrible for snapping as he recognized how uncomfortably Dash was by how she tried to hide her fear behind the excuse of joking and trying to tease him. He was about to interrupt her and apologize when she stopped on her own as she stared up at Raphael. Roddy looked back up at his friend who still perched on his pedestal looked down at them his eyes taking it all in....Raphael watched, seeing through the attempted bravado and was actually impressed that the rainbow haired girl recognized the fact she wasn't hiding anything from him. So she had not seen a draco'ula before now, looking at Rodimus who now was looking guiltily at his feet, there had been some misunderstanding here. The draco leapt from his perch his wings gracefully spread to slow the decent.
He circled Dash, probably making her even more uncomfortable in the process before finally standing in front of her. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Dash. I'm sorry to have startled you; it seems our mutual friend failed to properly prepare you for this meeting. As he may have already told you, I am Raphael, guardian of this Shrine of Healing. Be welcome and I hope the calm and beauty here helps ease the cares weighing on your heart and mind."Roddy wanted to apologize to them both, but he kept silent and observed, feeling a bit like a student before a teacher awaiting his turn.

"It's alright big guy.." She smiled and bowed her head. "It is a pleasure!" Turning to Roddy and giving him a reassuring smile before she was circled and that made her fur stand on ends! "Roddy!" She squeaked, and then finally, he apologized and it seemed that everything seemed alright. Thankfully, she didn't want to be a toaster yet.
Her rainbow quickly engulfed her and circled her happily. Feeling the vibrations finally being right with the world.
"A tour!? that would be SO COOL..." Quickly running back to Roddy and hugging close to his shoulder and side.. Not wanting to be apart from him in this kind of situation, although she seemed completely upbeat and excited about it- she was still scared.
"Are there more? You know- Dragons like you here?"

Raphael chuckled to himself, amused at how Dash reached for Rodimus even through her brave front. He could see better now why Roddy would think to bring her here. The young ulaya had a love for the place that had him returning when life's changes became too much. He was seeking his center even while striving to include this interesting new addition to his life.
"Yes, I can certainly show you around," Raphael replied, and continued to circle the pair in a widening circle, his tail creating a widening spiral in the sand as he circled from the center to the outer rings of stones, a trail for his companions to follow. "True dragons, no one knows if they still exist in the world or ever truly did. Draco'ula like myself, yes, here there is another my mate Gabriel and soon our children will join us. We've just recently been blessed with four little ones and they currently rest within their boxes with their mother watching over them."Roddy nuzzled Dash reassuringly glad she was pulling herself together. "Sorry," he whispered to her, "I should have told you more." He still felt rather down about the situation but he fell into step behind Raphael following the spiral and doing his best not to disturb that line in the sand. The circling allowed them to take in the sanded area and the flat topped audience stones, places to sit in quiet meditation as well as the surrounding glade. He took a deep breath seeking calm.

Circling didn't help, but beyond the tail, she saw rocks, and then when they began to follow him and let the other get beyond them, she spoke. "Coulda told me he was THAT big- I mean, I may not have believed ya, but he is BIG." A chuckle of nervousness sprung from her. "But it's an adventure- and I like adventures!"
The more she followed, the more amazing the place got, like opening a sanctuary. "It's amazing..." Her voice was low, and admiring.

He was meditating. The ulaya wondered here on occasion but once spotted- he would disappear. But there were times where he could be seen lazing and taking a load off. Playing hide and seek was awfully exhausting afterall.
