Anything good came with work.

That was what Rin thought. A safe home took work. Love, family, happiness - work.

So when Kakariko returned from a hunt with two rather superb pelts and a useful one, Rin felt just a little more destablized; a little more disheartened. She didn't tell him thought - Rin smiled and was happy for the leopard, and nosed him and congratulated him, but inwardly, he heart sank a little more.

Poor luck meant work meant nothing and Rin didn't want to fall into that trap, the leopard instead curled up to look out at other pride members with a quiet, impossible expression. Rin minded her pleases and thank-you's, minded good manner and kind word, but, she wasn't really happy. It ws colder and colder meant ore snow, snow like the kind what took her love and made him disappear, and with that, Rin had been hurt by the avalanche. She worked for everything, and everything slid away in an instant. And secretly, Rin wanted to be with him, either alive and roaming, warm, safe, and secure at his side, or cold and buried in snow, among the others list in the coalition.

So it was with a quiet look Rin took to look for pelts. She was not with her love nor was she to sit being useless, and upon learning where Kakariko looked, Rin made soft prayer to Shan Furen and began to journey.

Travelling, even in pridal territory, did not come easily to the leopard and Rin felt nervous of every shadow, every odd scent or sight, and she cringed often, mind distant in the past. Rin was not brave and she didn't truly feel safe but it was needed and she followed the directions, ignoring pawprints and signs of others, moving as quietly as a ghost through pride lands. Rin had not been a single cub litter - she was one of four, two handsome males and two sweet females and evile one brother ignored her for her weakr sibling, Rin was close to her biggest brother, a strong, brave ale with kind eyes and fierce claws, and whom looked after her before the avalanche. The snow, cold and frightening, drew her to consider her options and Rin stood tall, looking about as she hought, before beginning to try to be brave. Delicate paws made their way up a tree for a view and Rin looked with wide brown eyes at the lnd before her for trouble, tail flicking, but mostly holding balance. The wind blew overhead and Rin felt her fur blown, and shiered, regretting the lack of bringing protection for her small frame. Cold air was not her friend, and Rin soon scurred down, shivering and snorting as she continued on. The sky was clear and still and Rin listened for sound and signs of danger, for rushing snow and biting, icious wind, but there was naught but a bird's cry above and Rin wondered if it belonged to anyone at all, instead padding onwards towards the area designated. Trees gave way to ledges and at first glance, Rin contenplated if she could make the leaps upon finding Kakariko's larger pawprints, the female inspecting before lifting a paw in disgus, carrying on. She wasn't disgusted by Kakariko - but her own small size and soft fluffy, fuzzy nature, and she continued on seeking the path. Her breaths came in short, white puffs as she moved into a colder region and for several moments dark places made her shiver and cringe, before moving on into the welcoming cavern the paws led to.

Rin made a repulsed face at the cleaned carcasses, shuddering at how rediculously thurough but also how creepy they looked before she moved deeper inside, putting the images from her mind. It was likely snow had trapped more creatures and Rin was of no mind to waste a good pelt, sniffing around delicately. Distinquishing bodies in the dark, and furs, was difficult, but releif not scenting a lost loved one or pride member brought comfort and Rin carefully set to work. She would carry three and while she culd not guess size, she did hope they would work. Still, poor or luxury, she wouldn't know until her return, and the female hoped to do well. Her movement was careful and delicate, and Rin moved lightly to collect the pelts, moving them to her back. It would be easier to carry and Rin had no doubt they would help keep even a small creature warm even a short time, making the journey back easier.

Anything good came with work; and Rin was pleased with the work she had done, beaming a bit inwardly as she moved, glancing bak to flashed of color as she made her way to the ledges. By no means as vain as Kakariko seemed (Or proud. Rin wasn't sure with him at any time...) she did smile, pleased she'd gotten some luck. It was, however, ostly work a comfort to her poor nerves, and she began clearing ledges carefully. Long shadows were beginning to form across the snow and Rin didn't want to be out too much onger, her pace quickening as she reached the end, moving for home. All she wanted was to bring her finds in, to help and prove her morals right to herself, even with a sad, broken heart; and her sad eyes.

By the time Rin returned, dusk was setting, bringing cold as others began moving inside, and Rin darted around warm bodies, shivering again faintly as she moved. Her gait was a blend of running and prancing to maintain decorum and she tried not to look as redicuous as she felt as she hurried, seeking the merchant whom would take her pelt collection. She wanted the pelts approased and her help was all she felt mattered in that - the quality, of course, was determined by a merchant, and she sighed as she arrived, entering the drop point with a small, shy smile before she gently deposited the pelts, and smiled.

"I... I hope these will do." Rin said in a soft, quiet voice, peering up shyly. "I... I hope I'm not to late for the evening. I... I really hope they go to someone in need."

She bowed quickly, fear and shyness trying to take over before turning, fleeing for her den before she got a reply.

She had done her part, and, inside, took satisfaction in doing good work.
