Personality:
Contained -- Since she grew up around a father who was a fighter and since she also took up fighting as one of her main hobbies, Karothdra expressed containment in all aspects of her life. It is not often that she allows her outward expression to reveal the depths of her thoughts. There is no point in creating conflict when life is already so difficult. She practices the restraint, both in word and action. Though she might disagree with the actions or decisions of some of the older nobles around her, she would never publicly attempt to shame or humiliate them as such a response would serve only to undermine their authority and leadership.
Brave -- Although careful, Karothdra is not afraid of taking a risk. She has been through many different kinds of battles and does not hesitate to rise to the occasion when called to a dangerous mission. Although passive, she will raise to the occasion when threatened and does not back down. She is always ready to face and endure danger or pain. It is a rare occasion when Karothdra will actually fear something. Her bravery does not make her reckless however, she does think things through before acting.
Competitive -- When pitted against others, she puts her whole heart into whatever she is competing for and cannot help but to try to put herself at the top of things. Karothdra can definitely be known for getting competitive with her friends. In typical day to day things, she’s usually laid-back as she doesn’t go out seeking competitions, but bring in some competition into something and there will be a gleam in her eyes that you may not have seen before.
Messy -- Karothdra is not the most organized of people; while she's not forgetful nor too scattered to be an effective fighter, she tends to make and leave messes wherever she goes. It's not done out of a sense of being too good to clean up after herself; rather, she simply gets caught up in the next thing and doesn't feel she has the time to make sure things are in their proper order. That's not to say she's not hygienic--but she does leave objects everywhere in his wake. She loses things often.
Sentimental -- It's pretty easy for Karothdra to get attached to physical belongings as well as people, and she doesn't like letting go of them. She hangs on to items past the point where they aren't actually useful or valuable simply because she associates them with fond memories or people she's lost. She attached herself pretty quickly to people she's just met and won't know or understand when they need their space because she's choking them. She's also gotten the habit of stealing something from her friends to keep as a valuable even if she tends to lose them.
Lonely -- Karothdra doesn't mind being alone, but she hates being lonely. With too much emptiness or silence around her, she gets restless and will seek out a place to be around other people. Even if she's not necessarily interacting with them, but she will get attached to someone very quickly. She's not completely blind to when others need their space, but you do have to be forceful when telling her it’s time to go. Her work allows her to work with people and keeps her rarely alone and that’s how she likes it. Going back to her empty home just breaks her heart.

History: Karothdra was the fourth child of general Tolui, and his first daughter with Sorgtani. This was a great honor to such a noble family and preparations for her future were made quickly. Karothdra as the child of a noble had very little relations with her mother as a child, in fact her mother made sure to find her a wet nurse to take care of her. Her father took care of her education since she was the first and only daughter to ever be born into the family. As a rich family, she would also always have servants at her disposal to perform routine tasks for her, so there were not many domestic jobs that Karothdra would ever have to learn.
Because of this, Karothdra was encouraged by her father to read books and pursue her education. He made sure that his daughter was well-educated. She did not seem to be the type of child who would want to sit quietly and do needlework or sip tea all day. So Karothdra read and learned about many different topics such as politics and other governmental affairs, writing, literature, and music. Karothdra grew and continued to learn as much as she could, with her father backing her every step of the way.
It was around the age of ten that Karothdra took up fighting from her father. She was taught many styles but her preferred method would always remain martial arts and taking down enemies with her own hands. By the time Karothdra was in her teens she had a taste for blood that highly displeased her father General Tolui. She beat down opponents ruthlessly and let them almost dead. Tolui was also pressured by his wife to make sure their daughter grew up as a proper lady. Her father made sure Karothdra would understand lessons in constraint and as such would punish her when she would go to extremes.
When the Oban war with the rest of Tendaji broke out, Tolui left his daughter home despite her displeasure. Though it taught her further temperance in her abilities and character, her father still had plans for his daughter. When the new king was put in place and her father returned he asked for a favor. Karothdra became a lady in waiting to the kings mother because of her education and fighting prowess. Although she is fully expected by family to marry she hopes to gain her father’s title of general in the Oban court as a berserker.
