The people at Catch em All had told Brenny that his favorite bug friend was at I Choose You, somewhere the celebi had never been. He'd heard that he would be welcome there when he was older, and he'd heard it was fun, but he wasn't sure what the difference between the two clubs were. Maybe the one Carwyn was at had more dancing and computers! But why then wouldn't he be allowed, until he was a teenager?
Huh. Older kids were weird, maybe they wanted their own space or something. Eliot was always talking about personal space; he suspected that was why the magikarp went swimming so often.
He wished he could teleport like an abra. It would have been easier to get past the door. He was too short, and too well known, to pretend to be older than he was.

Mitja was having a fairly uneventful morning at I Choose You. She really enjoyed being a bouncer for the club and found though she should be working at the door she often guarded the strip club. She had not had any trouble from her two normal trouble makers, one child and one teen, who never paid, somehow always found way to sneak in. She was glad she had not seen either of them though at least one of them she had some fun with. She felt a small smile cross her lips at the thought of a particular one. But she gave a shrug knowing that one did not come around the mid day hours.
Today how ever she was a bouncer for the front night club. She was watching the doors and checking some ids. It seemed like it was going to be a fairly easy and uneventful day. From the cloudy darkened front door however she could clearly bee seen by anyone peaking in.

Brenny pulled himself to his full height, and paused for a moment. The guard looked familiar, even through the cloudy door. But only vaguely, so he continued on his way, opening the door and deciding to attempt to get past her. Maybe he was small enough that she wouldn't see him. He didn't like the idea that he was sneaking in, even if it was to see one of his friends. Anyway, one of the nice people in Gotta Catch em All had told him where to find Carwyn, so it couldn't be all bad.
Maybe it would be better just to address the guard. Maybe she could get Carwyn for him. But what if they kicked him out before he got a chance to talk with him?

Mitja always kept her feminine features firmly tied down and hidden. She really hated out much of a woman she really was and often try to play as a man as best she could for many different reason. One part to make things easier for her trainer, another part was to make sure her rule was more felt at the club, and besides boobs were worthless in her mind though she did have a fine pair. Everything about her scream man though those who knew her did often know the truth.
Before Brenny had much time to think Mitja stepped in front of him blocking the child's view of the night club with her body, "And where do you think you are going?" she asked flatly and rather not amused. She recognized him easily enough seeing how he had not changed much since when they met before she evolved. he shorter tail now did not move nearly as easy as it used too but she still could coat herself in venom if needed. "I think it best if you take those steps to get back out of this club. Children are not allowed."

Not allowed? Well, he'd known that when he'd come. "I came to see Carwyn," he said, looking up at the guard. Something about her--was she a her? Or a him? He couldn't tell, not yet anyway. "He told me I was always welcome to come see him, and one of the people at Catch Em All told me he'd be here." He hesitated, studying the guard. Something about him-her, was so familiar. He was sure he had met this person before. But where? And who were they?
Wait. Mitja? The girl he'd played tag with all that time ago? Was this her? He decided to take a chance, wrapping his arms around the woman. "Hi Mitja!" he said. "I've missed you. If I can't go in, can you get Carwyn for me?"

"Carwyn is with a client right now and not able to come to your beck and call." She stated a bit curtly. He had not thought that a bit of a aging and growth spurt would give her such a change in opinion but the again she was on the job and she took it serious. She could not punish Mariette when she snuck in. And when Eclipse snuck in he took pleasure in her attention and kicking him out. It was a huge game to him, that and the twins always backed him and would often 'save' him form her kicking him out. With someone with no real connection to a member in the club Mitja would take no pity or mercy on them.
She heard the change in his tone and her jaw set. "You missed me? I am sure I was not often in your thoughts Brenny. Please step out of the club and I will send someone to inform Carwyn you are here when he is not busy." She said not really showing him any familiarity.

"But I want to talk to him now," Brenny complained, and then stopped. He knew what being busy was like, he didn't want to distract Carwyn from whatever he was doing. He was sure it was important. "I'll wait," he amended. "Want to catch up while I do? I promise not to look in. Promise! I'll help you guard this place, even! Hey, you're kind of like the crocodile in a moat huh? Cool! And this is like the castle you're protecting. Carwyn can be the prince! And you're protecting him, huh?"
He hesitated, surprised by the lack of familiarity. "You were," he assured her. "I really liked playing with you! I was hoping to see you again, and now you're here, and we should catch up. A lot's changed since we saw each other last time! I can tell you've changed, and I've changed, even though I don't look like it, and I bet we have all sorts of stuff to talk about!"

"You are such a selfish spoiled brat." she said at his demand and had a bit of a tantrum. "You have already tried to sneak in and it is not your job to guard here." She knew he was not trying to say she did not do a good enough job but she was really not in the mood for such complaints.
Mitja hardly thought that Brenny had change. He seemed the exact same as he had been before when she saw him and had been convicted to play a game with him. "This is not some game Brenny. Carwyn is no prince he is the owner here my job is too protect those inside and keep those who are too young outside. I do not think we have anything to really talk about. We played once when we were young and we have not thought about each other since that time."

So maybe using imaginary metaphors hadn't been the best idea. Still, he couldn't believe how rude Mitja was being. All he wanted to do was catch up with her while he waited for Carwyn to be done with whatever he was doing. "Okay, it's not a game," he said, sighing. "Look, I just. I really need to talk to him, okay? It's important, and I don't want to leave until I talk to him, and I can't talk to anyone else about it, because they'll laugh at me." He didn't protest the insults. They hurt, coming from someone who he'd considered a friend.
There was one point he couldn't take with silence, however. She thought he hadn't taken the time to think about her? Did she think he'd lost interest in her immediately after they'd played? "I thought about you a lot," he argued. "I did. I tried to find where I'd seen you again, I wanted to play with you. I would've asked to see you if I could have found you, but..." He hesitated, looking away from her. "I grew up a lot. I've realized things, but I've still got a ways to go."

Mitja watched him though her hooded eyes betrayed no emotion or any sort of carrying towards Brenny. She had no reason to believe that only Carwyn could be the one with the answers for the Celbie. She figured that the child most likely was thinking he loved someone and seeking advice form the love Drapion. Why did that tick her off even more and made her want to refuse to even send word to her boss.
Her body tensed at his excuses, "Do not lie Brenny. I remember you enough to know your flighty mindset. You may have grown some but not in anyway that concerns me. I have not been a fleeting thought in your mind since we played and left each other. I am not a hard one to find so I am sure you could have easily found me. You know how to put up adds on the internet as well so you could have tried that way. And I have been working at both clubs for a long time." She said sternly like a parent who had gotten tired of their child asking for something.

Brenny did, in fact, have a crush on someone. He wanted to discuss it with Carwyn, because he felt it was going rather, wrong. Not that he'd mention that to Mitja, not with the woman behaving so hostile towards him. He couldn't imagine what had changed; sure, they'd only met that once, but they'd played together. "You can hardly judge how I've grown by talking to me," the celebi muttered. "I don't know what you mean by flighty, and I don't know what's upset you so much that you feel you have to be nasty to everyone, or if you're only doing it because it's your job."
He hesitated. "You work in both? I never saw you." He'd only been there twice, once for a free tour, once to talk to Carwyn outside. "Hey, I only knew how because Carwyn helped me, I doubt I'd be able to do it again, alone! I don't have a computer at home, so I still don't know anything about them!"

Mitja raised a brow slightly, "That is one of the ways you can tell a person has grown by talking to them, clearly you have not grown much physically." She said unamused. "I am doing my job and I take work very seriously but I am also not one to just be friendly towards any and everyone. That is why I do so well with my job."
She still kept in his way blocking the view into the club, "You are just making up more and more excuses. I do not think you are going to be able to say anything to make me let you in or to be any more friendly towards you. So you should just stop wail you are ahead. Leave a note for Carwyn then wait for him at the other club." She did not care about anything he was saying or really feeling. It was not something she concerted herself with. She had a job to do and that is all she focused on, getting him upset and speaking some harsh truth were just a bit of added...bonuses

"Is it?" Brenny considered that. "I guess you've grown quite a lot, then." He hesitated, and tried to peer inside. "I guess if I can't convince you, I better be going, then," he said, and sighed. Hopefully he'd find another way to get in contact with Carwyn.
"I'll see you later," he muttered, and turned to leave.
