Part 1.0 Operation Get Out There was underway with gusto, if lacking any really useful direction. Life normally gave the impression that looking for someone, anyone, who could give a little perspective, or at least talk, was easy to find. There were people enough, but how to find other 'sailors', or Mauvians, or whatever else would be helpful to find? Destiny City was huge, and it had a lot of presence of a night shift in more fields than just medical. There were cars out, passing through the cones of streetlamps and throwing streaks of pseudomotion through the senshi's peripheral vision. The Pea coat over top of Sandrine's uniform seemed to really help with how conspicuous the senshi looked walking along the slush sidewalks.

A pause as the sound of a train passing echoed off the concrete and windows of the flanking buildings. Considering how old the suburb was, there were probably people who remembered when there was a train station nearby that took commuter traffic, rather than just the cargo and industrial cars. Sandrine managed an unsteady, uncertain jump up to a level of fire escape, pulled up into the ladder system and made it to the roof to go and look out over a thin belt of trees and the passing blur that shouted in reflective pain - Conrail Quality.

But why am I uneasy. It can't be the train. Hell, that's pretty cool to see kinda up close. Sandrine hopped up and down a few times to keep warmth and circulation going through legs and feet in the not-weather appropriate boots magic forced to exist. The read of auras, in a defined and aware sense had been missed so far, whether by oversight or inability. Not that the single. nameless Mauvian Sandrine had even known had been much help. A handful of sentences didn't have space for all the particulars.

The discomfort grew, like horror movie suspense. Knock it off, Cosmic Muffin. Am I getting a panic attack or what. What is this.

Attention drew away from the train and Sandrine stared in panorama at the dark.

A waiting game was all it was. The patience of someone who had nothing better to do, backed by the desire to please those who didn’t yet know his name. He waited in the shadows, in the cold, watching and waiting for the movement of a person to inadvertently cross his path. He didn’t power up until then. Until he knew there was something to claim as his prey — he didn’t want anyone to interrupt prematurely.

Imagine his surprise and delight when his target turned out to not only be White Moon but a senshi.

It did not matter to him if the senshi decided to approach, but he expected it — most were curious that way. His weapons were summoned but he did not approach. Instead he stood by the tracks where the train had just passed, a plastic knife dragging along the concrete wall of the old station. If that didn’t draw attention, then he didn’t want the challenge of chasing after a coward.

He would just wait for the next.

There was...there was someone over there. Clear as the train fully passed, as the day was short in winter, some kid being weird with some plasticware from Wendy's. The clothing was distinctively not something people went around in for daywear unless it was cosplay.

And there's no such thing as conventions at this hour in train yards and old stations. So chances being chances, he's probably with Stabberson outfit of loonies. But he looks young, right? He's not attacking anyone. He's just doin' the creep. Maybe he's just bored and killing time, not people, or something. Maybe he had nothing to do with that wackhouse of war crimes.

"Hey!" It was called as a greeting, like one hitchhiker to another across the road and going the other way. "Do you come here often, or just lately for the kicks? You gonna try hopping a train or something? It's probably easier here since they slowdown by the building. "

When the senshi called to him, Jet’s brows furrowed into a scowl. They all seemed to have their own sense of humor, didn’t they? It was so much easier to deal with them when they were tied up. But the time for that had obviously passed and they were forced to hunt for senshi on their own.

This one annoyed him already. He would deal with them as soon as they got close enough.

“Just looking for senshi,” he responded a grin twisting his young face into something not so innocent. “They tend to be attracted to scummy areas like warehouses and junk yards. I figured it would only be a matter of time until one of you showed up.”

Sandrine's mouth tugged in an judging, uncertain wry the same time as brows furrowed together. Way to be a creeper, dudefella.

"Not gonna be in any Crest Commercials that way, sonny. And maybe it escaped your attention, but its mostly your lot's magnetic personalities and the whole 'follow the smoke to put out the fire' schtick that brought me to a place like this at any time of day. Location, location, location is all on you. " Some of that was a lie. Jack would come to exactly this sort of place at just about any time of day to get in some UrbEx if the spot was ripe for it. Sometimes trainyards could have some really cool old industry going on. Sp maybe they were both kinda there by chance, right? Or was he really serious about the lurk-de-lurk frequency to shady parts of town just for skirt hawking?

Creep

The senshi of execution hopped the tracks wholly, rather than risk any electric bars, walking carefully to hopscotch distance apart. "So now that there's a senshi, namely me, what are you going to do?"

Yes, that’s right, come closer. It was so much easier when their curiosity got the better of them. Whether or not the sarcasm was there in the magnetic personality comment, there was no excuse for drawing ever closer to him.

“Now that there’s a senshi...” he repeated, his grin ever present as he dug his feet against the ground. “I’ll just have to kill you,” he revealed, although he couldn’t imagine it was that much of a surprise, unless this one was just more, well, slow than the others.

Jet pushed off, aiming low towards their abdomen. The dulled plastic end of his knife had sharpened some when he’d dragged it against the brick, although he couldn’t imagine it would be as clean of a cut as an actual knife. It was no matter. The more messy the wound, the more difficult it would be to heal. And he didn’t plan on letting this one escape so easily.

Even expecting that the hingeless doorman was going to spring, from all the expectations built up at the unfunhouse, it was still a little shocking when suddenly he was lunging. Plastic knife blazing, as it were. Sandrine spooked, full body starting and then doubling the action like crow-hopping away from one of the tiny, red foam dodge balls from high school. The gnarly edge of the thing sailed too near, tearing some stutter holes into the sheer drapey part of the sailor scout uniform. Like that red staining is going to get a lot more serious. No way may, really?

Momentum being all wrong, too backwards in the hop to punch of kick effectively, Sandrine did the only thing that seemed viable- and threw out an arm, open handed, to try to slap the Creep right off the guys face to the dirt.
"Come ON! This isn't an airplane hijacking. "

"plastic." Hey self. Self. Plastic can cut. 'Because it's dull you twit, it'll hurt more.'

He did not let up as the senshi jumped back to get away from him, the blades of his plastic knives swiping wildly at anything he could hit. Face, arms, torso. It didn’t matter as long as he could draw blood.

Now, Jet would never admit it, but he was a horrible fighter. How he had managed to survive until this point what with getting himself into trouble with the neighborhood children, or now that he was in the Negaverse how he was able to survive encounters with Eternals and the like… he would never know.

So when the senshi made to strike back at him, he was not only unprepared, but not even on the defensive enough to counter it in the first place.

Jet let out a yelp in surprise as he stumbled, his footing unsteady on the gravel near the tracks. He released his hold on his knives as his hands flew out to catch himself and he hissed as he hit the rocks beneath him. “No,” he agreed, pushing himself back to his feet, “It’s an extermination. One senshi at at time.”

Like a rabid squirrel- The knives had kept on coming, at least until the slap landed. Sandrine's other hand, which had been out on guard, took the brunt of the rest of the assault, crossed with a tearing line that pulled the center strip of glove to one side. Blood was just start to well in the palm meat through the picnic-plastic gash as the senshi pulled up.

"Extermination!? I AM execution. You can stuff it!" I'd think a senshi of execution would have some idea about whether that needed to happen, ya know? "By the Sword!"

Sandrine's bloodied hand closed in the magic ritual, pulling nails along the red dagger of the opposite wrist-glove to summon out blood to mix with what was already real. The longsword formed and the senshi hucked it down at the agent as he was on the ground.

Range. The sword acts as a projectile, throwing no more than 15 ft.
Duration. Instantaneous (like magic missle)
Damage Summary. The sword makes surface-wounds, nothing deep, but damaging to creatures like Youma or Wraiths. It is not corporeal enough to be used to inflict stabbing wounds in any way. In the case of blows that are thin-skinned areas (like the neck), the 'surface area wound' only still applies! It leaves deeper wounds on an arm than it would at the neck or under an arm where it might become OP by cutting an artery.
Weaknesses. It takes practice to aim the projectile, as it doesn't have the benefit of an aiming position like a bow. An enemy that blocks it with their weapon dispels it.
Frequency of Usage. Twice a battle

Jet watched in disgust and horror as the senshi finally decided to fight back, but it wasn’t any typical magical attack like the rest of these wimpy senshi could manage, but an actual knife made of blood?? “W-what the hell??” he sputtered in disdain, scrambling away just in time to prevent himself from getting impaled, but not quick enough to get out unscathed. The blade caught his arm, but he didn’t spend time seeing how deep the wound was, or if it was anything at all.

In his defense, Jet grabbed a handful of rocks from the tracks and hurled them blindly towards the senshi, hoping that would distract them long enough to allow him to get a better footing and actually make it off the ground. “See? That’s just weird,” he pointed out, still hurling handfuls of rocks as he climbed up the nearest set of tracks, putting as much distance between him and the senshi. “What the hell is that, anyway?? Some kind of blood sword? That’s disgusting!”

Sandrine backed up, putting hands up to block some of the gravel while the rest of it stung little red marks along collar, neck, shoulders and cheek. Gross. "Like Ronald McDonalding Murderfying with picnicware is perfectly normal?! You're the one talking about Chinette extermination ya nutter!"

"You want to hurt people on a basis of you think they're 'weird'? Magic is weird? Like anything about our lives is normal- teleporting, sword-wielding whackadoodles pigsticking minors after midnight in mall parking lots? Exterminate your damn self first! You don't even make sense!"

This guy needs a check up from the neck up. I don't know if I can haul his butt to a precinct safely, or a psyche ward, but I gotta try. Second verse, same as the first! "BY THE SWORD!"

The longsword formed again of blood, and Sandrine threw it to cover the distance between them that fists couldn't reach.

As much as he wanted to teach this senshi a lesson, and perhaps kill them, he knew when he was outmatched. This magic was not something he had been expecting, and as another sword came flying at him, he found himself wishing he’d been a little smarter about taking on this senshi.

It caught him across the arm as he stumbled backwards and tripped over the tracks. There were plenty of reasons he wanted to get rid of senshi. Not because they were weird or had magic… but that wasn’t a conversation he wanted to have with this one. If he didn’t get away soon, he was sure he would be killed, or injured and left to rot.

In a final, desperate attempt to distract the senshi, he hurled some more gravel their way, and then dove under one of the cars on a nearby track. He wasn’t proud of running for it, but this might be the only way he could keep himself alive.

Sandrine brought hands up to try to block some of the gravel, growling out noises instead of words of frustration. Seriously!? How many cheese-o villain movies has this kid seen? Whatever saves your neck in a pinch, I guess. Yeah, I'd toss rocks at someone if I had to. But MAN.

One fragment had connected just below left eye, sending the thing into a torrent of tears and stinging that blinded easy, immediate pursuit. The senshi of execution wiped repeatedly, trying to clear it as the sound of scramble and then running told everything that was needed- he was getting away. "In YOUR eye, you ponce. I find you again, I'm hauling you to the psyche ward!"
