Keeping low as she slid along the length of the limb holding the top of the web she clicked a dart into the shaft of her atlatl and watched as Achlys advanced on the creature's domain. They were training... The only way to be prepared for a Menzuri attack would be to fight a menzuri; not to mention they're good eating if you steam them.
Now Ceyede didn't just decide she was going to rummage through the forest until she found one, stick a few darts in it and call it good... She asked around and turns out one had been harassing the folks of Emeka. Not surprising, these creatures tend to always be encroaching on settlements of her fellow sister's making them a common creature to be hunted; Though just because it is a common creature doesn't mean it should be underestimated.
Ceyede gave her Radaku the signal and the familiar responded by gently clipping the web threads closest to the forest floor. vibrations rattled up the tightly strung web summoning the eight legged creature to the open. Dropping from the canopy was the biggest Menzuri Cey had ever laid eyes on. The creature was graceful in its movements, basically floating across the jungle floor. Achlys ran to cover, but it was too late, the menzuri had already picked up on her movements.
Ceyede flung a dart as hard as she could, and pierced the abdomen the creature hissed and raised its front legs. the mezuri started up the trees, and Ceyede knew she had to move. Grabbing another dart from her quiver she reloaded the atlatl and skipped to another branch, turning she had only seconds to aim before flinging her next dart and dropping to the earth.
The dart nicked one of the back legs and caused the creature to lose its balance. Giving a whistle to Achlys, Ceyede grabbed another dart and readied herself. The Radaku approached the creature cautiously baring its teeth. The monsterous mezuri lay on the earth its limbs gently twitching as it began to slowly wither into its death.
"Lucky break" She murmured, "Achlys, you need to get an earlier start when hiding... You could have been eate-" The Radaku's whimper interrupted her pep talk and she pivoted only to be pounced on by another menzuri. Dart still in hand she gripped tight to the wooden shaft and thrust it up into the torso, then proceeded to use the atlatl as a club to get the creature to fall off of her. Achlys had clamped down on a limb of another and thrashed until it came lose. Achlys ran at a tree trunk, stepped up and pushed off to land atop the seven legged menzuri and stab a shaft into the frovae of the creature.
There were a couple yet to advance. Ceyede waved to Achlys,"Go! Go hide, We'll meet up later!" The radaku split off and vanished into the jungle. Choosing to go more west so as to not lure the creatures toward the village, Ceyede bolted through the forest not paying much attention to anything but putting some distance between her and the Menzuri chasing her.

DX Well, That was really long... Um, i'll give you a chance now and in the next post i'll make her collide with your character, and then fight off the creatures and get nommed... and when they're dead... San can save her? XD
San'thari's day started off fairly normal. She woke up in her own little camp, pulling back her fur blankets. That was followed by immediately pulling her curly hair up into a ponytail high on her head and cleaning up her bedding before she set out to make breakfast. Her fire was low and it was warm compared to the chill of the winter air. She shivered a little and huddled a little closer than usual but other than that, she ate breakfast and then just headed out down the path she'd been walking for a while now. San'thari didn't even know where she was anymore. She just knew it wasn't anywhere near the home she started in.
