A deep sigh split the silence that had settled over the park. Kadyrelite was, for the time being, a truly dejected soul. Really, what was so bad about wanting information? Bad enough to punish her?
Rubbing absently at her breastbone and wincing, the young lieutenant's mind veered carefully away from those thoughts. No, what she needed was a way to bring herself back into the good graces of her superiors. And the best way to do that would be to bring back a plentiful supply of energy orbs.
Or better yet, a starseed.
Granted, she had yet to pull a starseed from anyone, but how hard could it be? All you did was reach in and yank, right?
The brush of a Chaos-But-Different aura against her senses brought Kadyrelite shooting to her feet. Chaos meant friend. Well, ally. But the subtle difference had her curious. And Kadyrelite simply had to satisfy her curiosity. Moving as silently as possible, she headed in the direction of the aura.

The night wasn't too cold, though that didn't offer Super Sailor Canopus much relief in the long run. Senshi fuku, whether it be White Moon, Dark Mirror or the Negaverse, didn't offer much protection against the cold, and the flimsy sheer fabric that decorated her sleeves didn't repel the cold too well. However, as cold as she was, she found her fuku slightly warmer than her school uniform, especially when she cheated and had managed to set her jacket aside when she transformed. Why didn't she think of this before?!
She had made a quick trip to the library, though none of the material was actually for her, or her classmates. She carried books, printed articles, anything she could find on world wonders and the planets of the Solar System. Her trip to Kairatos' wonder on Mars left her curiosity almost insatiable, and though it wasn't asked of her, she simply wanted to learn more, and maybe share such information with Kairatos the next time she saw him. It seemed like one thing she could do for him in payment of allowing her to visit space and his wonder.
She was on her way back, books and papers in her hand, enjoying her solitude and thinking to herself how happy Kairatos might be with her efforts when she felt the familiar chill of a Negaverse officer nearby. That chased away any good feelings she might have had in a heartbeat, and the fact that it was getting closer to her frightened her. To Canopus, the Negaverse was her enemy and she was certain that she had made an enemy in them as well, and she quickened her pace, hoping to make it into the woods and hoping she didn't drop any of her material. When it kept on her, she found herself squeaking out a warning, before breaking into a full run. "G-go away! I want nothing to do with you!"
Oh how she hated these Negaverse officers!

Well. She wasn't used to people running away from her. What the hell would make one Chaos-bro run away from another? Hastening her own steps, she heard the squeaked out warning and found her puzzlement growing.
Just what was going on here?
Breaking into her own run, she couldn't help but shake her head a little. Whoever it was wasn't exactly quiet. Though, to be fair, she supposed that she wasn't exactly fll of grace and stealth herself.
"Aww, c'mon, dude," she called, voice wheedling. "Don't be that way! I just wanna talk! Why do you feel different?"
Really, the way the runner was acting, you'd think she had a guilty conscience.

Running away was a mistake. Showing fear of any kind, apparently, was a big mistake, and Canopus wanted nothing more than to get home to the dorms, where she'd be safe and sound, so that she could berate herself for making such a careless error. She should have just powered down and made the trip home, but wouldn't that meant she'd be defenseless against her? No doubt she would have tried to drain her energy is she wasn't powered! Damn these Negaverse agents!
Not that she had any right to speak, but she swore off collecting energy, and she meant to keep it that way, not only as a promise to Kairatos but to herself. She wanted to hang onto that hope that she, a Dark Mirror Senshi, was better than that and could rise above such things, but to do so, she had to flee!
Which was proving to be a mistake, because the Negaverse officer was gaining on her! She couldn't flee, not like this... so the next course of action was to fight, or do something that would distract or impede the officer. Sure, she seemed curious, but it could have easily been a ruse and nothing more, to trick her into getting her guard down. Never again!
"Get away from me! Stop following me!" Canopus called back, ignoring her question and doing the first thing that came to her mind. She grabbed one of her books and apologized mentally to the librarian that would miss the book. She reeled it back and threw it in Kadyrelite's direction, not caring if it hit her or if she dodge. She just needed to get the hint! "I want nothing to do with you or the rest of the Negaverse ever again!"DaisyMilk Not sure if this is still relevant, but got a tag for you!
