Personality: There is a kind of man who wears his wealthy upbringing on his sleeve: his love of fine food and drink, his keen fashion sense, his top-notch education regarding art and literature. They have an easy way of looking down their nose at other people, give off an air of sophistication that is difficult to counterfeit.
But Lukas tries to do so. He tries very hard.
In truth, there is little sophistication in Lukas's upbringing or his life to this point. A largely-unsupervised childhood in a s**t part of Baltimore, teenage years spent raising himself instead of being raised, meant that he learned quickly to take what he wanted instead of truly working for it. Instead of reading that fine literature and studying art, Lukas honed skills at hotwiring, at breaking and entering, at running like hell at the sound of sirens. Three years in a state prison taught him to make nice when he can and make deals when he can't.
So he plays at being a gentleman when he can but, really, Lukas is more rough and tumble than anything else. His ego surpasses the truth of his ability, and when his pride is punctured, the result is explosive in a way that reveals his true nature. He doesn't actually know the difference between a Matisse and a Magritte, but if you correct him on the mistake, he'll bust your nose for it.
Generally, though, he prefers to be around and interact with people more than not, to build alliances and relationships that are mutually beneficial for all involved -- but are maybe just a bit more beneficial for him. He has a quick sense of humor, so long as he's not at the butt of the joke, and can smile and be charming when he doesn't hate someone too much.
Why did your human character choose to become a Hunter?Released eight months ago on parole, it's been rough to find a job that he can tolerate for long. Felony burglary charges are a hard hurdle to leap in the job market, especially when you have a tendency to get frustrated and mouth off to your managers. Mostly he's been jumping from short term gig to short term gig, unable to hold anything down.
His skill set is definitely more suited to Deus than the real world.
Physical Description: Eye Colour: Icy blue
Hair Colour/Style: Dark, shortly cropped.
Skin Colour: Pale, but a bit weathered.
Clothing Style/Colours: Lukas tends toward close-fitting and well-tailored clothing in dark colors. He likes military style coats, mandarin collars, dark, designer-style jeans that show off his best assets. He likes shoes that are comfortable but have some panache, so often boots or at least sneakers with a well-designed creativity to them. Blue is his favorite color, navy tends to win in his wardrobe, but he certainly doesn't object to a pop of brightly-colored piping here and there.
No ties ever.
Extra: Lukas has one of those faces that never seems to get clean-shaven, with a perpetual 5 o'clock shadow. He also has a tattoo on his neck, under his left ear, that reads "Es ist noch kein Meister vom Himmel gefallen" in a careful, clean script.
