Adopt: Orderite Boy Character Name: Whan Gender: Male Clan: -- Class: Warrior
Personality: -- Obedient: Whan is a very obedient individual. He does free think, but it's just easier if he has some guidance or direction. He doesn't follow every order given to him, just those by those leading his group or that actually know what they're talking about. If they're a lower rank than him or equal rank trying to boss him around, he gives a look of disdain and ignores them. He doesn't have time for wanna-be-leaders.
-- Inquisitive: Questions will come along with quiet observations. He is very curious about the world, about exploring every aspect of it that fascinates him. Different types of magics, why someone has chosen their class. He wants to know why some stones are harder to break than others, what makes a valuable gem and what makes those gems more valuable than others.
-- Soft spoken: Any time he questions his voice is soft. He doesn't like being loud, or being around loud people because it just makes him uncomfortable. Yelling isn't necessary in a lot of situations, so he talks quietly in hopes others will pick it up. He only yells when absolutely necessary and most of the time his voice ends up hurting afterwards.
-- Second guessing: Despite his inquisitive nature, Whan is really a very unsure boy. Most of the time he isn't sure about a lot of things, especially things he's just learned, such as someone's name, or a new town. He's really bad at second guessing his own direction. Most of the time he has a good gut instinct, but his second guessing nature happens, and that's when things go wrong.
-- Clumsy: He tries his best, but he ends up tripping over words, his own feet, and any task that requires a delicate touch. He isn't the most delicate Orderite in the world. It gets him in trouble when it comes to times when he needs to be stealthy. He can be quiet, but he trips a lot, or missteps and hurts himself and blows his cover. It also means that talking with others can be a bit of a hassle as he stumbles over his own tongue.
-- Moody: Whan is a moody boy because of his own clumsiness and over all awkwardness. If he's with friends who understand and don't point out his flaws he's actually nice to be around, but most of the time he's an easily flustered person. When he's flustered, Whan can go from embarrassed to angry in the blink of an eye. Or he'll try to hide himself within his own wings or just walk away. Very rarely does he lash out with words. If he does end up hurting feelings, he'll go back and apologize once he's calmed down.
Biography/Background: Mother: Sarang Father: Iseul
His family wasn't wealthy or powerful when he was born. They were very humble and lived very humbly. Neither his mother or father were fighters. His mother is a seamstress and his father works as a thatcher. They live in a small village on the outskirts of Ashen city.
They worked together to raise him. They never limited him. If he wanted to learn how to sew, his mother taught him and his father taught him fishing, fixing roofs. He learned from neighbors many different things, like how to cook and clean. His whole community was open to this curious boy when he was a toddler, getting into books. They helped him expand his knowledge of the world and his love of books.
For his birthday, his mother and father take him into Ashen city to purchase something, and it's almost always a book. One time it was a map, and another time it was a small pillow that helped him prop himself up on the floor so he could read more. He doesn't buy toys like normal children. He's a little more practical.
He still lives on Serenia but doesn't usually wander too far from his family. He might spend a day or two at a neighbors house, but he always misses his mother and father. He runs back to them with open arms and a happy smile. Often times he's trying to teach them what they learn, and they humor him. They are never not surprised by Whan.
Thoughts on the Great Engagement: The Great Engagement didn't set out to do what it should have. The Oblivionites are still terrorizing the world. All in all, Whan thinks it was better on paper, and it's lasted too long. The tipping point should be happening soon.
Thoughts on the Magescian Races: Orderites: As an Orderite himself, Whan is very biased towards his own race. Most of them are good hearted and natured, but they are composed of a variety of individuals. So over all, it's a very, very good race.
Oblivionites: As a whole race, he doesn't like them. They are cruel and cause nothing but pain and destruction for everything they touch. However, doesn't want to judge individuals. Of course, this doesn't happen. He automatically has reservations when it comes to trying to meet one of these individuals.
Dovaa: This is a good race, again. They're fairly quiet, from what he knows So far, he hasn't met any of them, but he would like to, and ask them a lot of questions about where they live and see how their magic differs from his own.
Hybrids: The hybrids fascinate him to no end. He wants to learn about them the absolute most. He wants to see which parent they take after, how their magic, agility, strength, and smarts come into play. He has so little information on them!
Thoughts on the Dragons and Khehora: Bonded Khehora offer endless amounts of answers and even more questions. He is absolutely head over heels with them and wants to spend most of his days with just them, learning from them and watching them. He is like a little goopey puddle of Whan around them. Much like a kid with a pet, even though they are not his own.
Wild Khehora scare him, but only because he doesn't understand them. He doesn't know if they're going to act the same or be more like dragons. Seeing them in the wild, watching and observing him will help, if he gets to be that lucky.
Dragons... he wants to see if he can tame one or two. He probably will never be able to, as he's just going to run away from them if he sees them, but he does want to examine the orbs and figure out how they work.

I really like his personality! Nice balance of positive and less-positive traits to make him feel well-rounded and believable. He looks like he'll be fun to RP and fun to RP with.
On the bio/background - does he live out in the country, some smaller village in Serenia, I assume? Since you say his father fishes and thatches roofs, I have to assume they don't live in Ashen City proper, though if their village was somewhat close to the city, that might help his mother's business as a seamstriss as well as give Whan better access to more books (the city's library) as he grows, if it's within reasonable traveling distance.
His opinions on the races work! Though you should know (and might want to note) that he will find out quickly that he is unusual in his attitude towards hybrids - largely they are despised and considered disgusting and blasphemous/insults to the gods. So he'll *hear* a lot of that and witness that attitude as he's growing up.
Anyways - on the whole I think this is a strong enough concept to stand on its own, so I'm going to approve him! :]

I agree with Uke...he seems really thought out. Just a few tweaks here and there.
It's also good to note that there aren't just bonded khehora in the world. There are feral khehora out there and I'm curious on how he feels about them. Does he see them as wild animals or intelligent beings much like other Magescians?

Note: Just cause I forgot to say this - you will need two staff approvals, and then he can have his journal set up. :]

I was thinking a small village, yes. I read that they're very steam-punk oriented and I find that fascinating! I was thinking on the outskirts of Ashen City, es. o uo The way he thinks about the hybrids is that if they weren't meat to be in the world, then they wouldn't have been conceived. He's convinced they have a place here, despite popular opinion. I think it'll be very interesting how he reacts to hearing his opinion is very unpopular. As for the wild Khehora, he's actually scared of meeting a feral one. He does want to see them up close, and knows they're intelligent, but he's not sure how they'll react. I'm hoping he gets to encounter some as he grows and matures and then he'll be able to make an informed opinion about them. I fixed things in his profile!
