Amur raised his muzzle to the air, taking in a long, deep breath. The air was chilly, winter was slowly creeping across the Kawani lands, but he liked it. The breath had a fresh, crisp tang to it, one that seemed to invigorate him, making him feel like he could do anything. The whole world was before him, and he could explore it at his leisure. A huge grin spread across his face as he considered the possibilities. There were just so many lands he could visit, so many sights to see. He couldn't wait.
His wanderlust had no doubt been inherited from his father. He was a happy-go-lucky stallion, who had tried his absolute hardest to raise Amur right. They had travelled all over together, and as a foal he'd been exposed to so many interesting sights that Amur was convinced the only thing he wanted to do now was see the rest of the world. After all, he was only a little stallion, there must surely be so much more out there that he'd never yet gotten to experience.
A pack was tied tightly around his waist, strapped on by his father's familiar, a bat who went by the name of Adenah. She was a feisty creature, with a razor sharp tongue that just loved rolling off little jabs. Amur knew he'd miss the both of them, as odd of a pair that they made. But he was determined not to miss them too much, they would cross paths again in the future! For now he was off, adventuring in this world with all of his belongings held in that little pouch. There wasn't much: a small bunch of dried berries as a tasty snack, a few pretty shells he'd collected from the beach, and a set of hand-woven bracelets set with glittering gems, crafted carefully by one of the humans who shared this land with them. Amur treasured the latter the most, as it had been a kind gift bestowed upon him when he has first encountered the strange two-legged race.
