Gnosche Devorar is an old Arrancar. Consequentially he has had numerous interactions with people of all races and kinds. This thread is for backstory posts for characters who've interacted with him in the centuries before Aizen's rise. The setting for this is the mobile fortress "Millipede" that served Gnosche as home for so many centuries before its destruction by the arrancar Primo Baphomet.
Please don't post here without asking me first. That said, if you want to add some Gnosche to your character's backstory lemme know. I'm always up for some fun backstory type stuff, and Gnosche did dealings with all the various races so Gotei characters are not necessarily excluded!

The moon of Las Noches glistened off the metal of the Millipede as it moved ponderously through the desert. Looking for all the world like a segmented aircraft carrier with dozens of legs, it moves surprisingly smoothly. The suspended bulk doesn't shake a bit even as the fortress detours around rough patches in the terrain. Gnosche Devorar maintains his living quarters in the tower of the machine, and his many labs "below decks". While the guns on deck and peeking out of the sides look like mere normal weapons, each fires a reishi blast strong enough to put even an adjuchas out of commission. There is a cornucopia of detection devices built in to monitor the area it travels through and alert Gnosche when someone of significant power approaches.

A pair of figures could be seen walking toward the fortress from behind. It had a nice, wide trail, and didn't go very fast, so anyone who wanted to find it was not hard pressed to do so. These two figures wore sturdy shawls and robes, protecting their eyes from the notorious sandstorms. After a a couple of hours, the pair caught up to the fortress, and continued walking alongside and past it. The larger figure then turned and looked up at it, as if expecting it to stop. When it continued past the figure, they turned and watched it, as if confused. They then ran ahead of it again and kicked the front of the fortress. There was some shouting, but it could not be heard over the sounds of the brakes engaging.
A lift dropped, and the pair of figures stepped on, riding it to the top. "Gnosche! Gnosche where are you?! Come on, your Fortress is defective! It didn't even stop for me!" The lift reached the top deck to reveal a black haired man. The other figure had not lowered their hood, and the robe covered much of their body loosely, masking even its gender.

One of Gnosche's transport robots approached the pair. It was mostly a cylinder with a dome top, six wheels on the bottom, and a pair of forklift-like arms for carrying heavy loads. On the front, there is a crudely painted smily face. An electronic voice emanated from the machine, "G-g-g-g-g-helelo Ri-r-r-r-sphaghetti!" At that moment all the lights inside went out and the fortress gave an uncharacteristic lurch as it stopped. From somewhere else within, a voice yelled " Piss and Damnation!" A loud clanking sound echoed and the sound of the fortress powering back on emanated once again. The feeling of movement was felt as the millipede resumed movement. The robot emanated a dinging sound and with the same voice as before said "Greetings Ricardo Denose. Greetings... identity not found. Intruder? Guest?" it intoned."

Ricardo smiled at the poorly drawn smiley face and walked past it, looking for Gnosche. It was then that the fortress ground to a halt and Ricardo shifted with it. He went to take a step and brace himself, but the weight of his Hierro dented the walkway. "Oh hell... not again. This is my companion. Touch them, and I kill you." That was immediately followed by the mad scientist's angered ranting. "Gnosche!? Gnosche, is that you?! I'm coming in! I have someone I want you to meet!" The man trudged down in, trying to step lightly to avoid denting anything else. He quickly, however, became lost inside the corridors of the fortress.

If Ricardo were to follow some of the smaller scurrying and crawling robots that carried this and that tool or bit of scrap to and fro, he would find himself in the fortress engine room, which was looking rather stripped and dismantled. Nearly every wall, floor, and ceiling panel was pulled out and wires exposed, with robots rewiring and reshaping the electronics and machinery. Gnosche himself stood in the center of the room where the large generator usually stood, shouting orders and instructions in every direction through a megaphone. Upon seeing Ricardo, Gnosche will look momentarily surprised, then smile and shout " Hey hey Mistah Nibbs, long time no see! You came at a..." he looks around, " ...time. I'm giving the engine room a forklift upgrade!"
