I look around as I try to get used to my surroundings. Seems I'm near a village or town. I nearly leap out of my skin at a loud sound overhead. Looking up I can see a large metal, bird-like machine. It doesn't flap it's wings. Must be one of those jet things father told me about.
I walk a little ways heading into the town, where there's a sign that reads, "Welcome To Westchester County". Sounds nice enough. Of course every place sound nice until you find out about the idiots who live there.
"Hey you! Blue haired freak!"
Hmm, a shout from between two buildings? Oh great, the local idiots. This ought to be a riot.
"Yeah you punk. Don't you know that look went out in the 80's?"
80's what? No idea what this guy is talking about. Besides I'm more concerned about the two guys he brought with him. I'm here ten minutes and already I'm having problem. Could this get any more cliché?
"Give us whatever money, phone, and anything else, and we might just let you walk away in one piece!"
Good thing father taught me how to use my powers and fight. Looks like I'm going to need them.
I smile, crack my knuckles, and say, "Sorry guys, I'm from out of town. I was kind of hoping for some help, not the local gang of idiots."
The leader pulls out a gun, his friends pull knives. The leader points it at me. I hold my hands out to him and say, "Woah man, no need for that". The thug pauses, simply aiming, not shooting. Perfect!
While holding my hands out I grin, carefully aiming each hand at its targets, then fire two energy blasts. One strikes the leader sending him flying into a nearby wall about ten feet away. The other blast strikes one of his partners, sending him flying through a store window. The third drops his knife, and begins to run, leaving his pals behind.
I hear the thug running yelling out, "Help! Someone help! We're being attacked by a mutie!"
Oh great, I'm the one attacking HIM?! Well I decide I better leave before the guards, or whatever authorities they have here arrive. I fly up into the air, and away from the area. I see a large building which looks like a library, school, or mansion of some sort. I land in a small wooded area just outside the fence. Maybe I could hide here for a time before I move on. Looks like people may be home, and I think I can sense mutants inside. Wonder if I should go and knock?
