Yakut had not traveled too far from where she had met Necro before settling down for the night. She wanted to remain close enough that it would not take much time to reach that spot come morning, but she also needed her space, he may have been quite the intriguing stallion but in the end he was still a stallion - the lesser of the two genders. Sleep had come relatively easily to the dark colored mare, but throughout the night she kept getting awoken from the whispering trees, though they never spoke clearly enough for her to head exactly what they were saying. They were probably doing it just to annoy her.

Once morning finally arrived Yakut set about working her way to the meeting place. Along the way she stopped to pick up the odd rock and small stick. These would place an important roll later, and the use of them would also depend on the way the conversation went. It would be very interesting to see just what they said about the reason behind her and Necromancer's meeting, though Yakut was fairly certain she had figured that out already. Even so, she would see what Necro's thoughts were on it before using the items she picked up. Satisfied with the number of rocks and sticks she was now carrying, Yakut finished the short journey to the clearing. Stepping inside Yakut stopped and made a pile with the items she had collected, with her mouth now free she was able to speak. "I have returned Ghost Walker."

Note: Yakut is crazy and thinks she hears the trees and other objects talk to her and thus she talks back to them, no one else hears them because she is crazy.

Necromancer had found it easier to simply stay in the clearings vicinity, there was little point in wandering off only to wander back come morning to his way of thinking and thought his mother complained that the clearing stank of the mare to much and they would be better off just leaving Necromancer agreed with the fallen deer and ignored his ill tempered mother. There was nothing wrong with the clearing - just his mother.

Hearing the mare approach only seconds before she stepped through the treeline Necro glanced over her once more his gaze lingering over the rocks and stick that she carried with her. What were they for? Did she carry such things around with her like he carried the bones or did she have some other reason for collecting them?

'You could always just ask her' His mother told him in a snarky tone and Necro snorted at her, deciding to simply wait until she told him herself - more to be contrary and irritate her then for any other reason. Stamping his hoof to chase his mothers spirit further away his silvery gaze turned once more to Yakut. "I knew that you would."

Yakut let her gaze move over the stallion once more. In a way she was hoping to see the spirit that accompanied him, but it was either being elusive or she didn't have the ability to see it. Well she would keep trying just in case. Yakut was not the type to give up, unless she knew one hundred percent without a doubt that she couldn't do something - well that just made her try a few times more before finally admitting defeat. Hearing his words Yakut flashed him a smile. "Of course you knew. We arranged it yesterday." Silly creature.

But who was she to judge, she talked to tree, Necro communicated with the dead, if anything everyone else was crazy and they were normal. It could be true. Giving her head a shake to get her thoughts back on track Yakut focused once more on the stallion. Now then, where had they been in their conversation yesterday before they took a break for the evening. "We both know of each others gifts, perhaps not all the details but enough to know they are similar in their differences." She began. "There was a purpose behind us meeting. Was it our similar gifts or something else that drew us together? Have you given thought to this Ghost Walker? Has your spirit perhaps lent insight into our meeting?" While Yakut had some theories on their meeting, she wanted to see what Necro would say before sharing her thoughts on it.

Necromancer blinked at the mare for a few moments - yes they had arranged the meeting yesterday but he hardly considered that a guarantee of follow through - perhaps it was supposed to be but he had often found that it wasn't the case. Ah well, there really wasn't any point in arguing it, she was here and that was all that mattered for the moment.

'Oh yes why don't you tell her what I think of her!' Encouraged his mother in her jilted jealous tone, her spirit pausing slightly as though hoping he truly would take her advice. ' I am sure she would love to know...' The voice went on and Necromanced laced his ears back, giving the ghostly image a dirty look, he might not be the most social of creatures and he might not know all of the rules of etiquette that one should follow but he was wise enough to know that telling this mare what his mother thought of her would be a horrendously bad idea...besides he didn't really care what his mother thought as he had long ago learned that her advice was generally quite terrible.

The other spirits, those who lingered near the bones he carried were far more supportive and approving of the mare and Necro, wisely, decided to share the thoughts of those ones. "The spirits believe that it was our respective gifts which drew us together, that we, in our enlightened state are thus bound to pass such gifts onward."

'Neccy! What are you suggesting!!!' His mother all but screeched at him but Necromancer ignored her, shooing her away with a toss of his head to send her flitting off to pout somewhere, she'd be back eventually, she always came back. "Only one spirit does not agree but she is ill tempered and biased and not to be trusted." The stallion stated, his glare still turned upon the trees his mother had vanished into.

** Note - Necro is crazy, he thinks he talks to ghosts but ..he's just nuts.

Well, well, wasn't he the smart one...or at least his spirits were, and he was simply smart enough to listen to them. Yakut wasn't sure which was true, but what mattered was, that one way or another, he had come to the same conclusion that she had. They had been destined to meet, because of their gifts, and because the power connected to those gifts wished for others to share in them. Honestly what other reason would there be for her to find a stallion in the forest like she had - similar gift or not.

Yakut gave him a slight smile and nodded her head. "That is the conclusion that I had come to as well." She had kind of guessed it upon first seeing the stallion talking to that nub of antler, but the various objects in the forest later confirmed her suspicions. The branches above began to move - some would argue that it was the wind but Yakut knew it was the forest itself which did so - and this signified their approval. "Both the living and the dead agree. Our gifts, which similar and different, are important. They brought us together and it is both of them that wish for these gifts to continue on."

It was strange to think about it in a way. Yakut had never really considered the idea of mothering children, but now, with Necro standing before her she knew that this was meant to be. Call her crazy, because let's face it everyone already did, she knew that Necro would one day father her children. Those children would then carry their gifts, though whether they would carry one, the other or both was yet to be determined. Hearing him mention that one spirit did not approve, Yakut turned her attention to the direction that he looked. "There will always be those who disapprove of things. But she cannot alter fate. It is destiny and destiny alone that will life and death to come together like this." Perhaps this union would help to one day replace her apprentice, a bright young mare who had shown so much potential, who had fallen in battle like a true warrior during the war.

Many would have said how strange it was that life and death seemed so much in agreement over this arranged meeting - but Necro knew better, for all the denial the living placed on death the grey stallion knew how well they were connected, how one could simply not exist without the other. Life and Death were not the enemies most made them out to be but partners who knew and understood each other well.

The grey stallion had never desired children, certainly, given his own history, such a thought had never crossed his mind, never mind the challenges of finding and interested partner when nearly everyone he met thought he was crazy...but then he had never considered that there could be another like him, one such as the mare before him. When the mare commented on his mothers ugly thoughts he bobbed his head in agreement. "She is an ill tempered spirit with little thought beyond her own petty desires...it is generally better to do the opposite of what she suggests in most situations." He shared with a slightly tired sigh. In any case it was useless to sit and ponder his mothers temperament, experience had taught him that there was no changing it.

That comment made her smile a bit. To have a spirit guide was something special, and yet Necro's spirit, his own mother, offered him ill advice. Of course, she could recall a number of times when the rocks or sticks had told her to do one thing when she really should have been doing something else. That was why she learned to listen to their advice but not always take it. One had to make their own decisions every now and then. "Perhaps she does not realize that she should be guiding you, not interrupting you." But perhaps the ghost mare did and just wanted to see her son suffer.

Yakut glanced in the direction of the spirit, or at least where she could guess that she was. "Does your mother, or the other spirits, know of the chances to pass along your gift to the future?" She knew it wasn't guaranteed, after all her own mother, sister and brother were not gifted like she was, and to her knowledge neither was her father. But the more likely that their gifts were to pass down to their children the better it would be - at least in her opinion. The world needed more individuals who had a deeper connection to the things around them than most of the beasts these days.

Necro could only tip his head slightly in a gesture of 'who knows' when it came to his mother, he had long ago given up trying to figure out what her true motives were - perhaps if he had known her in life things would have been different, perhaps he would have understood her a touch more but spirits were finicky and seemed somewhat removed from the creatures they had been in life. It was impossible to know and the stallion decided it was just better to accept things the way that they were.

At the mares next comment he fell silent for a few moments, ignoring his mother as she fussed and screamed at him - having finally figured out what her son and the mare were considering and focusing his attention on the rest of the spirits who followed him around. Their responses were mixed but it seemed that they agreed on one thing and he relayed this to the mare before him. "They agree that we have a better chance together then should we attempt it with an ungifted but ultimately it seems that the degree of receptivity will vary and is not guaranteed. They don't seem to know... it is a rare chance the two f us meeting as we have."

Yakut considered what the spirits had told Necro. She knew that regardless of what male she picked for a mate, that the chance of passing on her gift would be limited, but having two gifts could increase the chance. Of course, they could still have none of their future children blessed with either of their gifts. It would all but up the fate, the spirits and every other factor that affected such thing. But she could hope that some of their children would posses a gift, or something similar. Only time would tell. There was no guarantee to anything in life, except that one day death would take you.

"Ah, but we did meet. A rare thing, yes, but it happened." They could have gone the rest of their lives without ever knowing the other existed, and yet they had be brought together. And if they could overcome that rare chance and actually end up meeting, then the rare chance of their children being gifted in some way might not be that rare at all. But, she would let fate decide, when they did have children. She wondered for a moment what Penthesilea and the rest of the herd would think when she returned with Necro, and how they would react to her idea of having children with him. The herd needed more members, and Yakut would do her part in that respect. But first she figured Necro might need to attention to something first. "The spirit you picked up yesterday," she said motioning to the antler piece on his necklace. "How soon must you complete it's journey?" What she needed to know, was how long before she could bring him with her to the herd and fulfill the destiny that the spirits of the dead and the life force of the forest had put before them.

Yes it had happened, many rare things happened when you stopped to think about it, it was rare to get struck by lightning but everything it stormed something somewhere got hit yes? In any case Necromancer did not think that conversation would lead to anything but endless circles and so he was pleased when the mare changed the subject for him. He had been dreading trying to do so himself - his etiquette when it came to such things was sometimes lacking.

"There is no time limit on such things, the spirits don't seem to bother with time the way that we do." He told the mare with a slight shifting of his weight. "they don't get anxious or impatient, they simply are..its quite relaxing when you think of it like that but then they are dead and what is time to the dead but an endless expanse?"

Yakut closed her eyes, absorbing Necro's words. It was like poetry to her, the way he spoke so freely about death. The mare nodded, a slight smile coming to her lips. Others avoided talk about death, never wanting to acknowledge it even when they were so close to death themselves. But Yakut knew death was something to respect She would embrace her death when it was her time.

After a few moments Yakut opened her eyes again. Her smile grew a bit. "That was beautiful." Some might find that weird, but then again Yakut was weird. But she also could see and appreciate the beauty in life and in death, and what Necro had just said, was indeed beautiful. "Though it doesn't seem to apply to all the spirits." She said with a slight chuckle, eyes glancing around hoping to perhaps catch sight of his mothers ghost. Ah, but she would likely never see the dead mare, at least until she too was dead. "Let us walk together Ghost Walker. I will show you my world, and if the deers journey falls along a similar path then we can finish it together."

Necromancer had been told what he said was many things but beautiful had never been one of them and the stallion couldn't help but preen just a little bit inside - here finally was someone who could appreciate his views on life and death, someone who wouldn't think him odd when he spoke or reacted to things that they couldn't see.

"That one is not a normal spirit..she is..broken I think." He finally responded to her remark because quite frankly he had no idea what to do with a compliment.
'Don't you dare go with her Neccy!' Said spirit scolded him intently 'I'm not broken I'm right! you should listen to me more often!!' The spirit went on, raging at him as she flit about the trees. Necromancer ignored her and instead bobbed his head in agreement to the mare before him - after finding one such as she how could he fathom simply walking away? No..it just..wouldn't do. "Let us go then." He told the mare, moving forward to join her despite his mothers protests. "I would like to see your world." He told her intently as they moved off.
