Why was she even going to this stupid bi-annual blueblood ball? She didn't really like the first one she went to. At least she hadn't seen that kid who stamped her foot on purpose. Weywot was still really confused on how to deal with him. But at least she'd met someone. Right as she escaped, Weywot had went underground and stayed there for some time... and the first time she poked her head up she'd ran into a tealblood. But this boy didn't seem to mind that she was an awkward mess. Bah. This time instead of her normal clothes, she actually went and got herself a dress that was black and trimmed in the same blue as her blood, ruffles brushing past scraped knees. Her hair was brushed and pulled back into a ponytail that spiked every which way. She tried to clean up since her BadgerMom said that she was supposed to set an example for those lower than her (like she really cared). Still, all in all she supposed it was time to start acting like a proper High Blood. So here she was, waiting to be asked to dance, her feet encased in small heeled boots that made her uncomfortable because she couldn't feel the ground under her. How much longer until she could make her escape?

"And now I'm almost sad I'm a good bit taller than you." He chuckled to himself, noting how she seemed even more out of her element the first time. She had seemed awkward then but now it was awkward in a different light. She was not suited for the ruffles and finery of the dress. She was more... plain. Suited for something that would be more subtle and less dainty.
His mask in place, Lune had a glass of what he hoped was just shitty soda. But he'd resigned himself to know that the color was indicative that it was supposed to be alluding towards the lower blood colors. A shudder of the thought, that some saw the drinking of blood as an act of superiority- it was the mark of a mutant of a freakish rainbow drinker and-
He stopped the line of thought, focusing on the younger blue blood before him.
"It's been a while Weywot."

Her head snapped up at a voice she almost recognized and then blinked when she saw... a very tall Lunear in front of her. Weywot stared at the taller teen and just frowned deeply. Well, he really id have a growth spurt didn't he? That wasn't fair. But she couldn't pout about it. Instead she just dusted herself off and toyed with her fingers a bit more.
"....Lunear," she greeted him. Then she noticed that mark on his face and tilted her head. Had that been there last time? Why was part of his face white? She frowned a little bit before nodding. "It's been.. a year? You grew a lot..." Yep, she was not making anymore progress on being a natural talker.

He was smug in knowing he was now so tall,a and could loom over others as he liked. But, then again, he was smug usually anyway, tall or not. In this instance, it was mostly because she was of darker hue yet he was the one with the 'upper' hand as it were. "A good while, And yes, I have, yet you-" He grinned. "I suppose one might grow in taste while remaining stunted. It is alright though, I'm sure in due time you will rise and join myself and others in our ah- towering stature." He dusted his coat, pretending to be disinterested in their banter. He was anything but- She was the shy blue, and he saw value in having her favor. "Tell me, what prompted the change in finery? Have you come to enjoy the frills of noble elegance?"

Oh, haha, she knew he was making fun of her. Weywot looked unamused and then disinterested as he just kept going on about his height. Honestly she was in no mood to deal with his attitude. The girl was so awkward and she just dusted off her dress in an attempt to make herself just do something so she didn't purposely step on his foot in return for what he did last time. Then he asked the question about the way she dressed and she looked up at him with a squint. "No. These things are stupid and serve no purpose," she admitted openly. Noble elegance was a stupid concept, especially when she spent most of her days either in the dirt or just above it in the grass. Sometimes she ventured to town to collect something, but for the most part, she avoided crowds. ...Save for this ball, apparently. "I don't understand why you like them."

He laughed at her bluntness. She was refreshingly open with her views. Something he could use to his favor.. provided he was reading her right and not falling for a ruse on her part, but then, she was young and had said a bit of the previously. Consistence was key. "So you say. But Do you ever think as to how you could use them? Forge alliances, pit highbloods against each other, seek companions of like mind, gather intel on what is to come. Get favors and protections-" He gave a slight side eye at her as he motioned to the party. "It's like game of who is who. I might wear a mask to cover my scars, but everyone here has a mask on. We all come to get something, to further ourselves in society. My mask is physical, where as their masks? A bit more... hidden." He reached down to ruffle her hair, humming as he did so. "Why wouldn't I like ball? I get to see what might grant me power. Can't the same be said for you?"

There was absolutely no reason Weywot would do any of those things. Troll politics did not interest her in the least bit, but at the same time she had to act more like a high blood that she was and it made her squirm in her skin. Her second meeting with Lunear and she really was not sure what to think about him, especially with how much older he was now. Weywot squinted up at him with a hard look and then huffed a bit. "No. I hate this. I don't like balls. I don't like frills. I don't care about these things you talk about and I don't understand most of what you are saying. I don't want trolls to fight. I don't want to get things? Power means nothing to me?" Well, sorry BadgerMom it looks like this girl just did not have it in her to act like a blue blood. She just wanted ....friends? She was alone too much and wanted someone to talk to. But most trolls didn't understand her. They probably never would. She looked up at him when he ruffled her hair and then shoved his hand away. "I'm leaving now." She could never stay long at these balls, especially when this one seemed to always find her. She was awkward enough trying not to yell.

As she asserted her distaste for the whole event and it's trappings, he grinned. Defiant and yet no doubt loyal to the crown. Such a delicious combination. He would most definitely need to keep an eye on her and her movements. The second he could wiggle a favor from her? He'd pocket it so fast no one would notice.
"I see. Well, in due time I hope you might grow to enjoy the gifts your blood has graced you with. Maybe in the future you'll have a bit more form for the frills? Who knows." He smiled with a wink.
Make your alliances early, and in time, they might pay off.
Might being the key word.
