Pisces fled the dust from the youma rapidly, hoping her energy remained undetected as she made for her dorm to power down and hide. After her capture she'd been hospitalized to heal, and during that time she'd done a lot of thinking - thinking leading to choices and for her, the thought of becoming Pisces unless absolutely neederd was terrifying. So, when there were no order auras and a youma attacked, she'd hidden, henshined, and dusted it. Now, however, was time to run, and she didn't want caught to be dragged to fight and convinced not to hide. She wanted normalcy and comfort and safety - the skin on her wrists seeking to be free of scratchy gloves and she shivered, ducking into an alley to consider powering down. But first, she hyperventilated, trying to will down a panic attack as she swallowed, and trembled.

Whisler had been out for a nice walk tonight, enjoying the way the winter air flowed through his fuzzy cape and hat and just…
Winter was his season…that was all he could say. Winter was a season of peace and quiet…it was a season for forgiveness and the prelude to new beginnings. Ever since he had become a true knight, whatever feeling of discontent he had had simply…melted away. He was a new person. Winter was just a time for change, enough said.
He drew in a deep breath, and let out such a contented sigh. Everything just felt so…so great….at least, until he felt the feeling of something nearby, something wrong and something evil. The knight went towards the feeling, prepared to help out in whatever way he could…when suddenly the feeling vanished, but the feeling of an order member remained.
Well, good. At least. At least whoever it was wasn’t hurt…or couldn’t be hurt too badly. They were the remaining aura…
Whisler still took off towards where the feeling was coming from however and made his way into the alley, looking slightly worried. He made his way towards the figure at the end, hesitating a little. Finally he recognized the figure and sighed. “Pisces? Is that you?” Oh he liked Pisces. That senshi was adorable and sweet, and terribly beautiful. “Are you okay? I felt something nasty around here. Just a youma? Did you kick its butt?” He paused, frowning slightly. "Are you hurt?"

Pisces had prepared to run feeling an incoming Order aura, and instead had huddled low and tried to be invisible, shaking fearfully before peering out.
It was Whisler. She saw him again - he promised it meant fate - and suddenly she began to cry, running and throwing herself into him before sobbing into his shoulder, clinging as if her life depended it.
"I...I... no... no no I'm not now but.." She wasn't sure how to tell him what happened, but she clung to him - her prince as far as she cared - and wept openly.
"I need you."

Oh bloody hell…what?
Whisler faltered for a moment, really not knowing what was going on, but his arms wrapped around her as well and he held her close. “Pisces, baby…what’s going on? What happened?” He reached up and stroked her hair gently, frowning. This wasn’t how she was before? Had the youma hurt her or something? Why was she crying?
Girls always made him feel so awkward when they cried…but…but this was more than that…She was making him feel awful as well as awkward…and he really didn’t understand that all too well.
“You need me? What’s going on, Pisces? Don’t cry honey…”
What was even happening right now, seriously.

"Scared." Pisces began to cry more, pressing in firmly. "They kidnapped me. Several of us and they..." Her words trailed off, but she slowly rolled a sleeve of her gloves down to show the still healing skin from chains, the senshi trying not to crumple. She didn't want to go into detail, but she shivered, looking around. "I don't want to go back. I don't - want captured again. I'm. I'm scared."

The hell? This was just getting worse and worse, honestly. He gently reached down, stroking the healing skin as gently as possible. “Who kidnapped you? I don’t understand, Pisces…”
She was so scared, and honestly, it was starting to scare him as well. “Come on…don’t worry. I’m right here. Nobody’s going to get you, I’ll protect you, don’t worry at all. I’m literally right here.” Whisler reached up and unchained his cape, taking it off and wrapping it around the girl. “There you are, you’re freezing honey…”
Damn he felt so protective over her…and he didn’t even care. She kind of reminded him of his ex…which was okay…actually, it was almost more than okay. Sometimes he really missed her…but hey. She wouldn’t remember him anyway…so. Eh. No big deal…
“I’m right here, Pisces. I’m not going anywhere.”

Pisces curled up against him for the closeness, to know he asn't moving away and curled in, looking down.
His touch was comforting and his presence helped sooth shattered nerves, and the senshi swallowed.
"The Negaverse. Inteerogation. I don't know why, I don't - they killed - others they - tortured ty-" She choked off, crying.
"nd I don't even know the kind people who saved me well.... It was... I was so scared... I..."
She huddled up. "I think I deserved it."

Whisler’s grip around her tightened the moment she mentioned that it was the Negaverse that had done this to her. All at once, a wave of guilt washed over him at the very thought that he had once belonged to such an organization. It made him sick. But…But poor Pisces. This girl was so innocent and so happy and so…cute.
Bubbly…kindhearted and just all around nice. He had found himself thinking of her often and seeing her like this…it just really broke his heart.
When she mentioned that she thought she deserved it, he frowned deeply. “No.” His words were much sharper than he had intended them to be and he pulled her closer, smooshing her body against his.
“Don’t you dare think that you deserved what they did to you. Don’t let their words hurt you like that. You are a bright, shining girl, and you can’t be broken by the likes of them. Don’t you let anything they say or anything they did get you down. Please don’t.”
He sighed heavily and stroked her cheek. “…Did you know…I used to belong to them? I was a Negaverse agent, though I don’t remember anything about it now…I found my way to the light…they’re lost souls, Pisces. You can’t blame them as much as you want to. They’re lost, and it’s up to us to carry the light and help them find their way to it…”
Whisler leaned down, pecking her on the lips. “Your light shines so brightly. Don’t let their words and actions dim it, my little princess.”

"not only what they said."
Pisces pressed in, several minutes. She was grateful he found his way to the order side - to the knights. She wasn't sure what he'd have done if he'd been there, and pisces tucked into him to speak.
"I deserve it for not being there - when the other Zodiacs needed me."
In Barren Pines, at the Surrounding.
"I failed them... A lot. And I have only seen - Princess Chronos and some knights since returing; and a handmaiden... That's... That's it."
She finally looked down.
"It's what happens with failure I suppose. But - theyu're great! They're so much stronger!"

What the hell was a Zodiac? Whisler sighed and played with one of her bouncy curls, quiet for a long moment. “Personally…I think that’s a pretty silly thing to be worried about, baby cakes.” He didn’t know who this Princess Chronos was either, but if she was anyting like his supposed ‘Princess Polaris’…then maybe she was clearly in another castle too.
“You can’t beat yourself up for not being somewhere when you were physically unable to do so. You told me before that your family made you move, how is that your fault in any way, shape or form? And don’t you think…if this group of yours was so important or so desperate to have you, they would care that you were gone? The only thing that should matter to them is the fact that you’re alive and well. Because…that’s what should matter most to the ones who care about you…”
He shrugged. “I supposedly have a princess out there too. But I’ve never even laid eyes on her. And you know, I don’t really even care. I fight this for the people I care about. You, and Camelot and all my other friends that I’ve met while powered up. I don’t’ fight for her. And you shouldn’t base your successes and failures on these Zodiacs, or this Princess of yours. It’s not fair to you. You need to do things for yourself, first and foremost. All other worrying comes later.”
The knight looked around. “Honestly, in worrying about the two of us, I think it would be much safer to power down, and go back to my place for the night. I’ll make us some hot chocolate and we can snuggle all night long and if you need to cry, well you go ahead and cry. But don’t cry for things you can’t control…and if this group makes you cry because you weren’t there? ******** ‘em. Seriously. If you’re important to them, then they won’t make you feel bad about not being there.”
And if she wasn’t important to them, well. She shouldn’t be with them in the first place. It was a pretty easy fix in his book, at least.

"I've met Chronos." Pisces smiled gently. "She's studying out of town. I know... She'd have come if she could but..."
And she trailed off, leaning.
"I'd had an oath to Chronos a long time.... I've never fought for anyone else, I don't think...." Pisces then peered up and smiled shyly, cuddling in.
"I'd like that.... It's... Nice to be with someone, not hiding injuries from a dorm mate."

“Well…” Whisler leaned closer, kissing her forehead. “Maybe it’s time to ditch the oath for someone who’s out of town and make a nice, strong oath to yourself. Those are just my two cents though, you can take them or leave them…but come on, dear. Let’s head home. No hiding when you’re with me. I’ll protect you, I promise. Nobody’s going to hurt you while I’m here, not if I can help it, at least…and I’ll cook for you. I’m a damn good cook if I do say so myself.”
He glanced around, and powered down, reveling plain old Nick in his winter jacket, smiling serenely at Pisces. “They can’t find us if we’re not powered, so that’s always a good thing.”
The Knight kissed her ear this time and laughed softly. “So come, my princess. Follow me home.”

Pisces blushed, following and sniffled.
"Thank you..."
At his remark, snd subsequent power down, Pisces all too happily lowered her owered identity to reveal Pierrete, clinging to his arm and blushing shyly, smiling at him.
"I'd like that." She said. "I was - thinking of studying cooking in college for my major. I'm undecided."

Nick nodded. “I think that would be a good idea, if that’s what you like doing, then do it. Just do what makes you happy, honey. That’s all that matters, is that you’re happy…and right now…”
He scooped her up into his arms, holding her as he would a bride. “We’re going to go home and get warm. We can figure everything else out tomorrow. Okay?”
There really wasn’t even much room to argue, it was just time to relax now. He hoped she saw that, and he made his way back towards his apartment, cuddling the girl close. There was no way anyone was going to hurt her again. Not if he could help it.
