Kiyelt followed her at what he thought was a safe distance hoping she would lead him to her spawn or perhaps her burly mate. He kept close to her trail for fear of loosing it and kept careful mark of any interesting landmarks. Soon they were deep in Leatherback’s territory, and Kiyelt wondered if her mate was also lurking about. He decided that the lady janarim needed a name, he decided that that name would be “Moon Rock” after the blue markings on her back. Moon Rock was slightly smaller then the average but seemed to be feistier for all the difference in size. He passed a particularly large bush and his target growled from behind and pounced him. He felt like she might have crushed something. She hissed and he could feel her bad breathe on the back of his neck. Perhaps he had messed with the wrong Janarim today, at the very least he was going to have a very big, very noticeable bruise on his back, he prayed to all the gods to spare his life and it appeared that they listened as the female walked off him. He had no breath left and so had to wait to follow her again. He thought that he might be getting close to the den site if she was being this aggressive. In that case he was very happy he had dug her out, if she had offspring that were dependent on her and Leatherback they would be all the more vulnerable for loosing a parent.
