Missy was searching for food; at first, Masa hadn't really seemed to need it, being a ghost; she didn't really understand it, but he hadn't had a mouth. So how could he eat, anyway? Now he did, and she was sure he was hungry by now... He needed some food, to stay alive, didn't he? Everyone did. So, promising she would bring him something, she made her way towards what seemed to be a promising restaurant. There were tables laden with food outdoors. She watched for a long moment, the people seemed to be dressed fancily, here... They could spare a sandwich or two!
She spotted something on an unattended plate. An untouched sandwich! The person who had purchased it must have gone to the bathroom, or something. She casually sat down, but instead of eating it, tucked it into her satchel. She took off running, hoping to escape being caught. She had to get this to Masa.

Fiore was just returning from chatting with someone a couple of tables away, a friend of his from work, and upon returning he found that his food was... gone? It was something that had the Florges starring, confused, at the empty plate. He knew that he hadn't eaten it, meaning that someone else had taken it? Did people steal food these days? He supposed that it was his fault for walking away from the table but still, he hadn't even gotten a bite he thought to himself. Tapping a finger against his painted lips he tried to find the one who had run off with his food... and spotted a young stunky rushing off away from the place. It was likely her he thought to himself. The question then became, why? A thief? A hoodlum? Or was she just hungry? Not as though every Pokemon that got a star had a trainer or a place to stay he thought to himself, meaning he should likely check on her. Turning to the waiter he chatted with the man for a moment, asking after any food that he had on hand that didn't need cooked, that could be paid for and put in a to go bag, and watched as he went. He'd chase after the stunky after he got the bag of food and paid for it all, see if she needed more, and see where she was staying. Once he figured out if she was alright he'd decide from there. ***** Masa was sitting under the slide where he'd met with Marissa the first time, giving a bit of a sighing sound, his normal hand resting on his stomach. It was so strange, the gnawing sensation in his stomach. He felt... hungry? That was what Marissa called it, something that he had never known while he was still a normal Pokemon. Now though, ever since finding that strange, if beautiful, star, everything had gone awry. He should have left well enough alone but the thing had been so strange, it had made him curious, he reached out with his cloth 'hand' and then BAM he was in this strange form. Sighing a bit he lifted his gaze, "Marissa, where are you...?" He murmured to himself, wrapping his cloth 'arm' around himself, something that helped with keeping himself warm. The weather was bothering him too, as well as the hunger. So many things that he had been immune to before this point but now...? Now he was feeling just plain terrible! He blamed the star.... but at least he had Marissa, at least she was helping him to figure out what it meant to be alive as he was now. It wasn't something that he had ever thought he would be, having been content with being a ghost sword. Those days were behind him though, he was a child now, somewhat but not quite humanoid, and it was something he had to figure out. He'd get it figured out, with time, or so he hoped...

Marissa made her way to the park as quickly as possible, pulling her pilfered coat around herself as tightly as she could. She would have to get something for Masa, too, now that he was human. Ish. Something warm. He was her responsibility now, she'd been like this longer than he had. She would take care of him. "Masa!" she called, waving to the boy. She held out the bag to show him that she had in fact found something good to eat, so he would no longer feel the all too familar gnawing feeling in his belly. She reached the slide and smiled. "Here, eat," she said. "I got it from some place down the street, looks good and smells okay, I think you'll like it."
She handed him the bag, sitting down next to him. They may not have had a place to live, or much to eat, but they had each other. She took off her coat and wrapped it around Masa's shoulders. "I'll teach you all about being human, okay? You don't have to worry." She wouldn't let him starve.

Jerking his head up Masamune found himself starring at the stunky girl for a long moment before he gave a smile, yet another thing that was new to him since as a sword he hadn't been able to do so. He watched her as she came over to him, carrying food with her, which she said that she got from 'some place' which made him wonder exactly how she'd gotten it. There was a part of him that wanted to ask, curious about it, but finally decided that he didn't quite care at this point. A part of him didn't like the idea that she might have stolen it but it seemed as though they couldn't quite afford to be picky or honorable, not when they were in trouble as they were. Masa opened the bag, looking inside of it, and then fished the sandwich out, "Looks odd." He murmured, not sure what it was exactly but decided that if Marissa thought that it looked good that it must be good. She wouldn't have fetched something bad he figured before he broke the sandwich in two, handing half of it to his friend, before he took a bite of it. He held the food in his mouth for a moment before he set to slowly chewing it, "Hmm...? Ah... you should keep your coat, Mari." He murmured as she wrapped it around him, scooting closer to his friend so he could wrap his cloth 'arm' around her in exchange wanting to try to keep her warm. "Being... human, I think I will probably need the help. I am... was... a sword, not a person. It's weird... What do you think, Mari?" He asked, wondering if the stunky thought about these strange forms they had.

Marissa took the half, uncertain if she wanted to eat it, or give it to him. He'd been the one who'd been hungry. She'd recognized the complaint at once; a gnawing pain in the stomach that was too familiar. She'd been no stranger to that sensation as a pokemon, and she had found it no different in this form. People didn't want her around, they still treated her like she was a pest. Something that didn't quite belong in their garden, or their trash can. They didn't want her in there, either.
She took a bite of the sandwich, contemplating. "No, you need it more," she said. He wasn't used to the cold, like she was. He'd never had to experience it. Ghosts had the good life, she figured. They didn't get hungry, they didn't get cold. She scooted closer to him, grateful for the warmth he provided.
"I know," she said. "You were a sword, but now you're a person. Like me. I think..." She hesitated, studying him. "I think we'll be okay," she decided. "You'll be my brother, and I'll take care of you. We'll learn together."

Masamune took a couple bites out of the sandwich, going about the task that was chewing up the food and then swallowing it. It was a rather strange thing, to go about this task, it wasn't something he'd had to do as a sword. He just had to float around doing sword things, mostly battling, cutting down things that got in his way, and the light. Life had been rather easy but now... well, now it was just complicated beyond understanding and he couldn't say that he liked it in the least bit! As a sword he'd been able to look after Marissa easier and now it was as though their roles were reversed with him being the weak one that needed protected. Glancing over at Marissa as she declared that they would be okay and that he'd be her brother from now on. He gave a slow nod of his head, "If you think so then I will believe you." He murmured, "I just think that..." He trailed off, his whole body seeming to go stock still, before he was lunging to his feet, his hands lifting up as he seemed to be preparing for battle, "I know you're there! Come out!" At this demand a rather fancy looking fairy type stepped out of hiding, glancing at the pair of them, before he floated forward, "Relax there, little Honedge." He said, holding up one hand in a manner that said he was surrendering. He wasn't about to fight, not when he was wearing such a nice outfit he thought to himself. Not to mention he'd just had his hair done! His blue painted lips turning up into a smile he said, "My name is Fiore, your stunky friend there ran off with my sandwich. I figured there must be a reason and I know I see it." He lifted his other hand up, showing them the bag that he carried, one heavy with food that he'd bought and brought with him from the restaurant, "I brought lunch." It was something that had Masa's eyes going wide before he turned to Marissa, looking to her for guidance, obviously unsure of how to proceed.

Marissa knew he was new to all of this, but she didn't miss the faceless sword he'd once been. She liked being able to play with him, and take care of him. Like he'd taken care of her, she was just returning the favor. She rather liked taking care of him, really. It was like having a younger sibling.
Just thought what? She'd have to find out later, it seemed, as he began challenging an unseen figure. It was surprising that he'd heard it before she had! ...That man had followed her, all the way here! She went stiff, horrified that someone could follow her so easily, and without her noticing! Was he here to capture them? Make her give him back the sandwich? But they'd already eaten it.
She hesitated. "You brought lunch?" she echoed. She wasn't sure she trusted him. "You're not going to capture us, are you?" she asked, inching towards the bag.

Fiore starred down at the girl for a long moment before his head tilted to one side, before he lifted on hand to smother a little laugh, "Capture you? You're joking, yes? You do realize that Pokemon don't capture one another." He told the girl, glancing between the pair of them, eyes settling on the Honedge that was glaring him down and he said, "I am not here for a battle either, that would mess up my make up and I wouldn't care for that. I'd much rather not have to reapply it or change by dress before it got dirty, thank you."
It was a declaration that had Masamune starring, a confused look on his face. Wait... a second... what exactly was this person? A guy right? What was with the dress and make up? He felt as though he were missing something rather important here. He couldn't say that he understood dressing up though, or wanting to keep ones make up from getting messed up. He didn't have access to that sort of thing after all... not that he could say he was interested in looking as pretty as this man.
Turning to glance at Marissa he asked, "What do you think? Should we take this offered food, Mari?" He whispered to her, wondering what she felt that the two of them should do in this weird situation. Until this point they were mostly ignored, so why was this Fairy Type trying to help them? He just wasn't sure!

Pokemon didn't catch pokemon. That made sense, that one pokemon couldn't be the other's trainer. "Make up?" she echoed, doubtfully. What was make up, exactly? What was this guy wearing it, anyway? And why was he wearing a dress? She'd seen those before. They seemed to be popular with the women folk; maybe they were some sort of human fad. "I suppose it is pretty," she ventured, awkwardly. It'd be a shame to get something so nice dirty, she could see the fairy type's point. That dress must have cost a fortune. At least the price of four lunches.
She hesitated as Masa asked a question, nodding after a moment. "I think we can trust him," she decided. Someone who dressed so nicely must have had money to spare; maybe he wanted to spread his wealth. She took the bag, offering it to the honededge. "He seems nice," she added, thoughtfully. "You are nice, aren't you?"
