I'll show her! a young brunette thought to himself as he stormed from his home on his bike. His mother had come chasing after him, but even after he lost her he never intended to go very far. Destiny City was much too far away to bike to -- it took a whole fifteen minutes by car! No, there were plenty of other places closer to home that he could escape to. In fact, he didn't even have to think about it. With a pout on his usually bright and cheery face, young Clifford was headed straight for his favorite park.
"Moms can't always be right about everything..." he muttered as he went, not really bothering to slow down. The faster he got there, the better. The park wasn't far off now, and he could see the playground where the jungle gym was. He did his best thinking while hanging from the monkey bars, after all, and it made the most sense.
The boy was distracted with other such thoughts -- like when his mom scolded him for watching TV upside down, or when she insisted that monsters didn't live under his bed (they did so!) -- so he didn't notice that one of those animals-one-springs -- a yellow deer-looking thing -- was charging right toward him.
Bouncebouncebounce.
He blinked twice as he raced toward it, not sure whether to slow down or not. Really, it didn't look at all menacing. Barely even scary. Just...odd?
Bouncebouncebounce.
Its bright orange-glowey eyes weren't quite a dead giveaway to the kid yet to probably not go tward it, unfortunately, but when it finally let out an ear-splitting sound he'd never really heard before he panicked and tried to skid to a stop. You know, like the cool big kids in those shows. Instead, he managed to successfully tip his bike over and skid right along with it. The sensation suddenly shooting up his leg got his attention, and he cried out in pain, not realizing that there didn't seem to be anyone around to even hear him.

Snowball had seen the kid riding his bike fairly fast and was sensing a youma near by so the cat had ran hidden by brush or whatever he could find not to show himself directly. His ears twitched as he heard the kid say moms can't be right about everything. . . . Welllllllll, maybe not? Snowball didn't know, but what he did know was that there was a monster nearby and he'd been tracking it; the kid was unfortunate enough to be heading towards it.
When Clifford finally decided to stop with a skid and tipped over his bike the monster seemed to sense that there was a chance for it to attack. Lucky for the boy there was someone there to hear his screams and leaped into action. "No you don't!" Snowball growled and hissed, as he struck at it with his claws. He wasn't sure but he felt like he'd gotten a notion about the kid. However first he needed the monster to be far enough away or distracted so that he could do what needed to be done. When the cat landed and his feet hit the ground and slid a little ways wincing for his own poor feet he knew he couldn't get the monster far enough away from the boy.
Snowball's ears twitched as the monster stared at him. He glanced towards Clifford before focusing back on the monster. "Kid, don't run away but I need you to trust the strange talking cat okay? On my count of three, I'm going to jump." Snowball was still watching the monster, "Land on the monster's head and jump to yours if you can stand up for me. I'm going to throw you something when I jump to you and you catch it okay?"

The pain in his leg had more of his attention than the strange talking cat. Actually that last part didn't even register at first, but when it finally did his attention was completely on the white feline standing right nearby. It wasn't until the monster gave another shriek--maybe out of annoyance, considering a cat had just gotten in the way of its meal, he thought--that Cliff woke up from his befuddled sort of daze, and he looked over at the thing and made face.
"You really think that'll work?" he asked, clearly doubtful. Still, he nodded bravely (at least he thought so) and did his best to ignore the searing pain in his leg. All the heroes he'd ever read about always listened to the strange creature in order to survive, after all. "I can do that, though."
With his mind made up, Cliff watched between the talking cat and the monster, swallowing the lump in his throat when the thing finally had enough of the staring contest and gave another shriek, and then it charged them. "Um...Mr. Cat..." he started to say. It was closing in awfully fast, and catching something that was going to be thrown at him didn't seem like it'd do them a whole lot of good. "What do I do exactly when I catch it?"LP More than okay, but I'm so sorry I'm mega late replying. OTL

Snowball wiggled before jumping on the monster's head stopping it dead in it's charge as he shoved the head down with the weight of a 24lb cat. The monster snarled, as he jumped off and did a summer sault a pen appearing in the air flying towards the child's hands as Snowball landed almost gingerly for as large as he was before falling off. . . .
He almost met the ground with his face but recovered, "Call Urda, Power make up! Now." He said. Moving to distract the monster in the meanwhile._p a o cx It's okay! I totally lost this idek how I lost it!

It was amazing, watching a talking cat attack a monster. It was almost straight out of a movie, and he wasn't scared somewhat silly Cliff probably would have cheered. As it was, he was still standing there completely bewildered and without a thing to do until the cat somersaulted and a pen magically appeared...magically.
"Whoa!" he wondered aloud as it flung toward it. He fumbled a bit but eventually caught it with a fantastic cry of "AHA!" before he flashed his burning red gaze over at the cat again. It was busy distracting the monster, but it had shouted out instructions to him that sounded downright silly. He did promise though, so with a face he held the pen out and called as instructed. "Urda, power make up!"
A curious warmth blanketed him momentarily, and before his very eyes his clothes began to glow the most curious color of blue he'd ever seen. He kept his eyes wide so he could take it all in, observed as that light shifted and changed. He felt the sleeves of his jacket disappear, gloves appeared where they weren't before, his shorts miraculously lengthened to become pants, complete with a set of belts and a sash, and boots materialized where his sneakers had once been. The most curious of all was the sensation of something...sprouting...from the center of his forehead. When he glanced up he could see what looked like spikes coming out of his forehead.
And when all this was finished and the light died down he glared, markedly upset at the cat. "You said this was gonna help me, not turn me into a demon!" he cried. More whined, really. He felt the "horns" on his head and made a face, then checked to make sure he hadn't sprouted fangs in the process, too. "Thanks a lot! Now what? And who's this Urda person? Is he the one that can change me back to normal?"LP I am not usually this bad at tags, I promise. OnOb

Snowball's tail flickered as he continued to claw and hiss at the monster biting it's ankles. He tried not to laugh when Urda said it turned him into a demon. "No you're a super hero kid. Like Batman and Superman only you probably have cooler powers."
However, Snowball had gotten kicked in the side when he was digging his teeth into the monster's Ankle. Giving a soft oof he slide back and winced. "There should be an attack on the tip of your tongue. Do me a favor, shout that." He was hoping the attack was useful. If all else failed he could instruct the kid to punch the monster and use his forehead lazer but he really didn't want to unless it was a last resort. "Once we see what the attack does we'll know what to do from there!" He added. _ p a o cx I am so sorry this took so long. ;-; Silly work has chewed on me, and still chewing on me but I've two days off so . . . *edit* 3/20 - I know this is old but are you still interested in finishing this? ;-;

Cliff--rather...was he supposed to be called "Urda" now?--kept a level glare on the cat, though admittedly he couldn't help but feel the slightest twinge of excitement at the thought of being a superhero. With superpower, though he doubted they could be better than Superman's. No one had cooler powers than Superman, at least not anyone he'd ever seen or heard of. Still, when he saw the cat get kicked in the side he couldn't say "no" to the request that was asked of him. The little guy was fighting so well and all he could do was complain?
Nope, that wasn't what a superhero would be doing.
"An attack?" he asked, eyes falling to the monster that was getting ready to smack the kitty to the side again. "Um..." he hesitated, but no sooner did he close his eyes did that attack come to mind and once more he did as he instructed. The rest of his body just sort of...moved on it's own. Urda knelt and placed his palm full on the ground, eyes on the monster as he cried, "Urda Thorn Shrub!" He watched with widened eyes as thorny tendrils sprouted from the ground just beneath the monster's legs, wrapping and effectively trapping the thing in its place, though for how long he didn't know.
"There, did it work?!"Quote: Urda Thorn Shrub He summons a single, small Blackthorn shrub by placing the palm of his hand on the ground while facing his intended target; the shrub then rapidly grows and wraps around the legs of the target. Though one could easily push their way through the little shrub, chances are they won't get out of it without a few scratches for souvenirs. Aside from providing minor injuries, it also helps to slow down any oncoming enemies. The shrub withers after about 20 seconds, and can be used up to 2 times per battle. LP Apologies. Apparently my definition of "soon" is give or take 10 days.. ;;

Snowball's tail flickered as he was doing his best to keep the monster busy. He was going to be sore after this, really sore. As he got batted off to the side but not without sinking his teeth into the monster and rolling away.
Udra did attack, and while it was unexpected. Snowball took this, "Okay, good, this is good." He said nodding his head looking around. "We need to hit it with something." The cat instructed as the youma was slowed down wading through the little shrubs. "Fists, kicking it. Or uh . . . if you happen to know where sticks or something are. . . ."
He pranced a bit as he watched the monster readying to bite it again when it got free. "I can use my forehead lazer but he needs to be weaker before I can help dust him that way!"
He paused, "Oh yeah they turn to dust when they're defeated." That was useful right?

That cat was doing so much and all he could apparently do was summon a bush?! Didn't it say he was supposed to be a superhero? If that was true, why was his power so lame? It did somehow keep the monster kind of in place, so the idea to hit it with something clicked in his brain and he bobbed his head more than a little enthusiastically. "Sticks? Yeah, there's-- I saw-- hold on!"
The young senshi scrambled to his bike and tugged at the pack he had strapped to the back. Inside was a telescope--an older one, and not his favorite so it was the first thing that came to mind to use as a weapon--and when he finally managed to pull it out he opened it up and raced back toward the monster thing. "Is this gonna work?" he asked the cat, though he didn't wait for an answer. Instead, he started smacking at the thing as best he could. He imagined he was trying to hit a baseball like his dad had been trying to teach him, and after a few hits he glanced around for the cat.
"Is this working, cat?!" he shouted, eyes frantic as he looked around and tried to keep on hitting the monster thing at the same time. "Can you dust it yet? Please say yes. Pleasepleasepleasepleaseple--"
It was at that point that the monster thing finally retaliated and smacked the chibi senshi while he was distracted. Urda felt the impact on his face and upper body and was forced to take a couple of steps back because of it; it kind of felt like getting hit in the face by a soccer ball, only this time that soccer ball was making a really angry screaming sound that he had a feeling would follow him into his nightmares.

Snowball couldn't stop the angry ball of youma from hitting the boy. However, he could retaliate for the boy using his own claws to lay into the monster.
Hissing as he did. He was pretty sure those bushes weren't going to last much longer. "I hope soooo" Snowball finally called back when he finally had a moment he could speak letting himself get launched up in the air.
Actually, Snowball was glad he was a cat at that moment. "Get ready to run incase it doesn't!" He added, sure that the monster was going to be really mad. He focused and aimed his forehead lazer at the back of the monster's neck close to the head as possible.
"Punch it if you can. It might help!" He added before firing his head beam._ p a o cx You're choice if the youma dusts now!

The chibi senshi recovered from the hit just in time to see the cat claw into the monster, and he jumped right back in as well. The thing wasn't gone yet!
"Got it!" Urda called back at the instruction to run, then readied himself to keep on punching in case it still wasn't gone. When the laser beam was fire he couldn't help but stare, frozen in place for that moment as he blinked in slight disbelief; sure enough, as the cat promised the monster went from one piece to a million different, teeny tiny pieces that looks a whole lot like dust that floated silently to the floor.
Urda looked on for a bit longer, and when the dust finally settled he ran over to the cat and moved to scoop it up for a celebratory dance. "You did it, you did it!" he said more than a little enthusiastically. "And with a beam! That was so cool!"

Snowball's head was spinning after he landed on his feet. It didn't help when Urda picked him and danced with him. Though he only winced a little giving a small laugh, "No, we did it." He added. Since, he was being held he wasn't able to wiggle or move around.
He waited for the child to clam down a little before looking up at Urda, "Now then I think we have time for a few questions if you have any." He paused, "Oh right, you need your phone too."
One popped up beside of the cat for Urda. "SO this phone can call anyone that has a phone. Even us cats, if you need help. Make sure to keep it with you. Also, you can scan any senshi to put them into your phone. Knights with ring upgrades work too, but they're a little . . . odd." He said.
"Oh, and please be careful when you pick me up. If you feel a negaverse energy signature I'd prefer you didn't. The breed of cat that I am has this disposition where if I'm picked up . . . I actually can't move until you let me go." Snowball sighed. He'd done research on Ragamuffin breeds. It was a little inconvenient. "I'd prefer they not know that."_ p a o cx Sorry for the extra quotes dear. . . I uh quite literally double quoted you in the post; and it was bugging me.

The "we" that Snowball emphasized had Urda's smile widen even further, if that was even possible, but the boy bobbed his head enthusiastically in agreement. Snowball seemed to want to tell him some things though, which made sense since this was all so new to him, so the young senshi plopped down beside the talking feline and listened intently. Until he made a phone pop up beside him, which completely got all of Urda's attention and his eyes darted from the cat to the contraption now being handed to him.
"How awesome! You're so neat, Snowball," he said with the widest grin as he took the phone and inspected it. It looked and felt similar to his mom's phone--he couldn't get his own until he was in high school, that was what his parents promised--and it seemed to work the same as well, touch screen and all. Still, he was able to hear and understand most of what was being said, and when Snowball finished he looked back at him and bobbed his head some more. "Phone can call talking cats like you and other people with super powers. Got it!"
But he quieted again as Snowball continued, and only then did his smile falter. "Sorry! I'll be careful next time...but. Um. So..." and he paused and offered the phone back to him. "Can I still get your number in here? I'll ask for your permission next time, promise!"xLP I tag, finally~! lol Sorry. xP; And no worries about the quotes. I actually only got one. XD

Snowball chuckled when the kid said he was awesome. "Psh, I'm just a Guardian cat doing what we do. But thank you for the complement!" He purred a little bit.
"Yup! It can call any of us." Snowball was showing the kid what to hit to scan him into the phone; instead of taking the phone back. "Just point the phone at me and hit that button. It should work!" He said, "It'll work with anyone powered on our side. It has to be order. Your chaos folks won't be able to be scanned into the phone."
He said when he finally settled back down, "I don't mind being picked up as long as it's safe. The negaverse can have some bad people in it, and some of the dark mirrors are questionable. I haven't met many of them." He explained, "So you really need to be careful about them, they may treat you okay as a child, but they won't hesitate to hurt someone. They often are after one of two things, the negaverse that is, energy or starseeds."
Snowball paused and move to place a paw over his own heart, "Starseeds are roughly here, they're our life source, like our soul. Without it, we're nothing."

Since Snowball chose instead to teach him rather than first show him, Urda held on to the phone and paid close attention to what the feline was saying in regards to how to scan, who to scan and who not to scan. "So..." he started once the instructions were over, then pressed the button while aiming the phone at Snowball. As promised, with a little finishing trill, on his screen popped up Snowball face and contact information, much to the young senshi's delight.
"Awesome!" he cried again, then pocketed the phone as Snowball continued. He could only nod his head along, half-wishing he'd brought along a notepad and pen so he could jot notes down on more things he should know about being a superhero...senshi...now. As it was, he'd just have to remember, but at least he had the option of calling Snowball in the future if he had more questions or if he forgot anything from this initial lesson sort of thing.
"Energy and starseeds," he mused as he placed his hand over where Snowball indicated. "So that's where my soul is, huh? My classmate once told me souls are just a...pigment--" he paused and scrunched his nose a bit, unsure if that was the word the other boy had used or not, but decided that it was and continued, "--of my imagination. I know he's wrong now, but..." He looked up again, eyes a bit glum as they landed on the white feline. "I'm not supposed to tell anyone, huh?"
