XXX"Did he really leave the office the way I left it like, a week ago?" Tana was beyond herself in surprise and amusement that her little surprise home renovation from last week was not altered in any way, interesting! "Either he knows me too well and knows my organization tactics, or he really admires my handiwork." She mumbled to the young 5th division recruit right next to her. The young recruit, barely even two hundred, gestured to Kanzaki's desk as usual, as if he knew that Tana belonged there. Of course she did. If Tana were to not be so technical, she was practically a member of the 5th division. Aside from her own office and whatever coffee shop that was nearby, the 5th division quarters was one of her favorite venues, mainly because of the captain. That probably would lead to the reason that a fan club was brewing among the 5th division: The Tanzaki Occult. Even a few of Kido Corp's recruits supported Tana and Kanzaki's inseparable and insufferable relationship. Tana gave up trying to deny it; she cave in when a few of the fan club's more open members gave Tana a coffee cup with a T and K intertwined together: It was coffee-scented, how the hell was that possible?!
Speaking of coffee, Tana would have killed for a fresh cup of french vanilla right at that moment. Luckily for her, by a simple request, Tana would send the young recruit away to prepare her a generous amount of coffee, which left Tana to do whatever she wanted in her good friend's office: Paperwork. Tana walked to Kanzaki's desk, left the same way how Tana left it last week, and took a seat on his God-like chair. "I really should request to have his seat. Maybe he will give it to me if I ask nicely?" Tana asked to the few recruits huddled by the door, staring Tana down as if she were some sort of museum exhibit. That period of joking had ended abruptly when the young recruit from before presented Tana her coffee. "Okay, joke time is over. Let me be alone with my coffee... Now, please. I have work to do." She stated in her usual monotone voice, her eyes casting forward to the recruits, who quickly began to pluck away from the door. "Close the door too." As requested, the young recruit that graciously presented Tana's coffee fix during her visit, closed the door behind him as he left.
Now alone and in the presence of her cup of Joe, Tana commenced on her usual ritual: Doing as much of Tanamaru's paperwork as possible; oh how she loved the dear captain at times, just not during these moments. "I wonder if he's enjoying himself at that meeting. I wonder if Kanzaki's still being dorky." She mumbled while searching around for a pen on the captain's desk. After coming across a nice red-ink pen in his lower drawer, Tana continued to delve into his personal space to find something to snack on. "Hmm?" Much to her pleasure and flattery, Tana found a hefty jar of coffee lozenges. "Now, I am pretty sure Kanzaki doesn't casually eat these. Aww. How considerate." She said with a slowly growing smile. While she wouldn't admit it, she was happy that he thought about her while getting these, he's not an utterly shitty person; though, Tana never saw him as one to begin with. So as she worked, Tana would occasionally pop in a lozenge and swallow it down with her coffee.
Minutes turned into an hour, and Tana had completed her stack of papers at a rather hasty pace, all while running on a cup of coffee and half a jar of coffee-flavored cough drops. With nothing else to do, and with no will to actually leave just yet without seeing Kanzaki today, Tana decided to further occupy herself. Slowly, the shinigami would arise from her seat and turn around to see a large butt-print on the chair, a print that she was sure wouldn't be going anywhere for a while. "All is fair in love and war Kanazaki, all is fair in love and war..." She thought with a rare playful smirk on her face. He should be gracious that Tana didn't redecorate his office again like last time; this time, Tana was more gentle on him. For all of the times that this guy has infiltrated her personal bubble, a feat that only two people have done (Him and Tanamaru) in Tana's lifetime. But with Kanzaki, he was always so bold about it: Sneaking into the same shower as Tana on occasion, walking into her office as if he owned it; the man would even casually be in her bed room as if he lived with her. Cheeky b*****d. Despite the small slither of revenge, merely leaving her butt imprint on Kanzaki's furniture was not as satisfying as partaking in another exciting session of 'Iinterior Decorating: With Tana.' This was the perfect opportunity for her to do whatever she wanted to his office, and being the try hard she was, Tana was going to make this execution perfect, absolutely flawless.
... Time Skip to Switch all the furniture in the room, around. Bwahahaha...
"Done!" Satisfied with the flawless outcome of the room, which possibly wasted more of her time than she would have liked to, Tana regardless was proud of her work; as for Kanzaki, he'll probably figure out the layout with time. "Ahh... Now what?" She asked as she wiped a bit of sweat from her brow with her handkerchief. "Hm? Ah, I forgot a book." Tana mumbled as she picked up a older-looking book from the desk; she forgot to put it in its new place when she was completely altering the book shelf. "Hn, I don't remember seeing a book like this. Oh wait, is this his photo album?" She asked herself quietly as she opened the book. Instantly, and with much rarity, Tana released a tiny chuckle at the first picture she laid her eyes on. "This little a** thought he was the s**t. He wasn't wrong... He was such a little s**t!" Tana said in her even rarer Zaraki accent; that "I don't give a damn" attitude was resurfacing at the recollection of past memories.
"Hm? Oh yeah! I remember that girl! Kanzaki's sister..." She mumbled before trailing off, her smirk turning into a faint grin. "She was so nice... Man, wouldn't it be great if she were still alive...?" Tana mumbled, her small grin turning into a slight frown. "Ahem... Let's see what else he has in here." She whispered aloud, turning the page to see the punk a** again. "How could anyone take that guy seriously with such an adorable mole like that? Aha!" Tana was very glad to come across this, now she had something to hold Kanzaki against the next time he says something sassy to her. "Man, if people knew that he used to look like this... Nah." Tana shook her head and laughed to herself quietly. "I couldn't do that to him. He was practically wearing rags; now look at him: A captain at such a young age. Successful, hardworking, caring..." Tana's cheeks would slightly flush as she thought about every adjective that made up Kanzaki. "Once a kid in rags, now a tall, strong, and talented young man... He never ceases to make me proud... Ugh. Just keep looking Tana." Her last words were bitterly grumbled as she turned each page, her smile slowly coming back with each collected memory.
She had not even noticed that time was flying faster than she thought. When she looked up at his clock, it was almost noonish. Seeing that he wasn't coming anytime soon, and having no more pictures to look at, Tana closed the photo album and would set it on Kanzaki's desk. "I'll see him later on today." She mumbled with a graceful shrug, she had places to be, people to see, and a lot of things to do today. For one, she was going to visit the Captain Commander Husband's Restaurant in the Seireitei, she wanted to talk to him about a few coffee shipments that she would recommend. It would greatly boost the morning time rush that many busy shinigamis depended on in order to start their day: The glorious cup of coffee that would be right on their table. After putting her hair in a loose bun, Tana checked Kanzaki's chair to make sure her butt mark was still on it. She made sure to leave her cup of coffee there as well as the newly reorganized room.
