I wrote this story back in High School, I no longer have the original story but remember the plot, I was 17 when I wrote this for a creative writing class. Pardon and bad grammar, I'm not the best at it, but if anyone finds any glaring errors please point them out, thanks.
I would like to get this published one day biggrin but for now it's a WIP. On to the story !

Journey of the Wolves The Journey out of Big River Valley
Intro
When I was a young cub my grand-sire Silver told us that there was much peace between the copper-skinned two-legged and our kind. They did not hunt us like they did the deer, antelope, and Buffalo. He told us that they respected the balance of nature. He heard them say prayers to the great Mother Earth for her blessings. That, and that they only took what they needed, leaving us with prey to hunt. Like us, they only took the weak and the young of the grass-eaters and draped their hides over their bodies. At times they had Wolf hides over them, but Silver said they smelled of old wolves. He’d seen them hunt with Wolf hides and he thought it was to confuse the grass-eaters into thinking that the Mighty Wolf was hunting them. He sometimes heard them howl like us. Silver also told my siblings and I that they'd follow us sometimes and he, being the leader before my father, Scar, would follow them. All this came before the Great Change and our journey to a new place.
Chapter 1 The Great Council There was a Council held one night of the different packs of wolves around the Big River Valley. The wolves have seen the new pale two-legs and the leaders of each pack were troubled, said Silver. Silver was still in our pack, but being an older Wolf, he was now the cub sitter. He said it was a rare occasion that the packs would come together, because of territory disputes. Silver told us that they were meeting by the Big River because that was neutral ground for all the packs to meet because water was necessary as were the grass-eaters to live. At the council, the wolves were in an argument. They didn't know what to make of the new two-legged. They were “as pale as the moon,” one pack said— they might be gods. Another pack replied that they were a curse— where they went, the grass eaters left. The wolves had smelled strange scents and seen lightning come from their big sticks that also sounded like thunder. White Tip’s pack said that they brought strange new grass-eaters with them, some looked like the Buffalo, and another that was faster than the antelope. White Tip argued that if they frightened away their prey that they should hunt these new grass-eaters. Scar was very troubled by this, as he too had seen the strange sticks that sounded like thunder. He also had seen the sticks of the pales bring down the grass-eaters faster than the sticks of the copper-skins. Sasha, Scar’s mate, whispered to him, "Why don't you suggest to the Council to get some of the elders here?” Scar cleared his voice and said, "Sasha, my mate, has made a suggestion; she suggested to get the elders of the packs here and ask them their opinions before we make any hasty decisions." White Tip thought about it and stated, "I second that: our older brethren have been around much longer and know the ways of the two-legs much better than we.” The rest of the council members howled in agreement and Scar said, "We will hold a meeting with them the full moon rises.” Scar and Sasha came back to the pack the next day. I overheard my father tell Silver of the decision that the Council had made. Silver grinned and nodded his head. Sasha said, “We will let Crescent watch the pups. Silver I’m sorry your mate isn't around anymore to join you at the council meeting.” Silver was crestfallen for a while then asked if he could leave, as he had something to do. Scar granted him permission to go. Off Silver went towards the copper-skins’ camp.
