Cameron stared for a long time at the very intricate toy plane he had spent at least 6 hours on one of his off duty but in base trips. It had been impeccable. Perfect.
Now there was a little chip on the wing's tip, causing the plane to look...imbalanced to his eyes.
"So you going to tell me why you are obsessed with Pirates Dorothy?" he casually asked, as he set the toy plane down and moved on to the other ones.

Claude was leaning against the head board of her bed, reading, and had been in a rather good mood since breaking her long dry spell, though it was hard to tell from her usual poker face and demeanor. She had spent an equal amount of time reading and glancing up at Cameron putting together his model plane over the course of new chapters in her book. When the question was asked, Claude didn't look up from her book, and readily replied: "The same reason you're obsessed with planes, Tin Man."

"You were in the navy?" He asked innocently, looking over to her.

"No, but I've had a lot of navy in me." She still didn't look up from her book after that quick reply, and her lips did quirk up briefly in a small smirk. She reached the end of the chapter, and finally looked up from her book toward the man on the other side of the room.
"Outside of the military though, my answer is still the same. You must have loved planes before going into the Air Force."

"It's figured that a pirate would let the seamen make harbor in her port." He went back to carefully adjusting some of the small parts of the plane.
"Yes and no. I liked the Hollywood gloss of planes, the explosions in movies caused by fighter jets. I even liked the planes set in the old times, you ever see the mummy? That pilot was one of my favorite." He cursed as he misplaced one of the parts, then found it again and meticously posted it back in its spot.
"Anyways, I graduated high school without a real goal, Dad was a retired history teacher. Mom was a stay at home, martha stewart type." He had wanted to get away so bad from them. The arguing. Drinking. It was one lie really, to cover up all the bad. "Joined Air Force cause they saw some potential. Made it to sergeant pretty quick, then they gave me my own plane to fly." He grinned, "Almost s**t my pants after we landed. There isn't anything quite like flying in a F-16 Falcon."
He waited a beat, "Was your first sailing of ship at Disney pirates Dorothy?"

"Those fine bodies have to dock somewhere." Claude mused. She also seemed interested that a few short comments and apparently she was getting a descriptive back story. She dog eared the corner of the page she was on, closed the book, and sit it down to the side of her. She leaned, resting her elbow on her knee and her head in her hand. Claude nodded a bit here and there, and smirked lightly about the pants sentence. "Ha. No. It was taking the wheel of my father's yawl, sailing off the coast of Bermuda when I was five. With aid, of course." Sure she wasn't exactly driving the boat, but she did have her hands on the wheels, and being five, she sure thought she was driving it, ignoring the helping hands.

Cameron's brow rose at her nonchalant acceptance, and then filed it away for Claude being crude. Truly, like a pirate. It didn't bother him, but if he was asked about her, it'd be one of the words to describe.
"Bermuda? Where in the devil did you grow up that you were sailing the Bermuda." He rose a brow, "Especially at 5." He moved to another toy.
"Do they have ships or planes here?"

"Here and there before settling in Las Vegas." She replied. "After that, it was a lot of traveling when the mood struck." When you came from money, jaunting off often wasn't an issue. At the question, Claude gave a short hum. "No. I don't believe so and I haven't seen any. Just portals."

"So you really are a Pirate Princess." He snorted, "Rich and well traveled."
He blinked..."What are portals?"

"Pirate Queen." Claude deadpanned. She then quirked a brow. "Doorways from once place to another. It's how Hunters get on and off the Island." She paused briefly.
"Magic." She said simply. "Real life magic."

"Sorry your majesty." Cameron bowed a little, "I mistook your position." He snorted and shrugged, before relaxing back.
"Seriously, we can actually ******** leave this place?" He let his model down.
Then he stared at her.
"Are you ******** shitting me, how many times can I leave a month?"

"See that is doesn't happen again, knave." Claude nodded her head in reply. "Trainees and intermediates get two days of leave per month. Hunters get four. You can go anywhere in the world."
