If the nest was getting smaller as children, it certainly was almost stifling now that the naga's had reached adolescence. Being of the temperamental sort didn't exactly help, and so a typical day was filled with hisses and almost-fights. Things couldn't go on this way forever, and Priya sensed something big was on the horizon for their little clan.
The thought of returning made her wince after she swallowed the rest of her rabbit kill whole. But where else could she go? Were there others like them to join or start a new clan? Soon she would start exploring the island more to find that out. But for now she slithered back to Venus' overgrown temple. Perhaps one of her siblings could entertain her for the day.

Like his sister, Nagendra, could sense something was about to happen. He was surprised with how little activity there was around the temple. Other than little animals he had yet to see any non-naga life around there home. Some brave fool should have attempted to challenge them by now right? Unless his parents had taken care of the intrusion without them knowing.
Maybe it was just him feeling pent-up, wanting to find something that he could fight that was not one of his younger brothers. The small animals he was used to hunting never put up much of a fight. Something much larger would and he wouldn't have to worry about taking the sparing to far.
The shrinking nest certainly caused the temperamental teens to lash out at each other. One was never alone for long and it was not to hard to find someone if you where looking. While he wasn't looking for anyone the teen stopped upon hearing the sliding of scales upon stone.
"Hello Priya, did the hunt go well?" He asked upon spotting his sister heading back into the temple.

Her trip back was largely uneventful, if a little cold thanks to winter. She didn't much care for the cold. But she felt miles better than she had when she left the nest that morning, thanks to her recent meal. At a familiar voice however, she stopped and turned her head. "Oh, Nagendra." She liked him much better than her other siblings. Especially Zulf. That snake needed to have his mouth glued shut.
"Yesss it did. If you're interesssted, there'ssss a nesssst around a mile back." Some naga's didn't have the trouble with s' like she did, but if any sibling gave her any grief over it she was quick to have her tail around their hide. "Did I missss anything? The latest brawl, a trophy kill, perhaps even an intruder? She very vaguely recalled other pae existing, but beyond that she was far too young to remember.

A nest a mile back huh? It sounded like a good place to go hunting. He bobbed his head to her. "Thanks for the tip, I'll have to check it out later." He could feel a slight chill from the entrance, like his sister he was not a fan of the cold. He hoped that the weather would warm up again soon, summer seemed so far away.
He thought for a moment before replying to her inquiry. "Not much, just the usual brawls." It had been rather dull around the temple lately, except for the moments he had been involved in a few scuffles.

It was a shame. Life here had gotten a little mundane, with each day being exactly as the last. She turned her head to look out the way she had just come, her emerald hair sliding over a shoulder. "...Do you ever wonder whatsss out there?" She turned back to her brother, head tilted slightly.
She'd let him in on a little secret. "I think I may leave to find out sssssoon." Something was going to happen here, she could feel it. Her brothers and sisters were getting restless, and she needed a plan.
Perhaps Nagendra would come with her? She wouldn't mind his company, as long as he didn't step on her tail.

"I often wonder what is out there beyond the nest." His eyes looked past her to the world outside the temple, sometimes it was tempting to go father than he should and take a small look around.
Hearing his sister state that she may leave cause his attention to snap back to her. The world outside the nest would probably be dangerous, and they where lucky to find protection out there. He did not want any of his sister to get hurt.
While he had no doubt that Priya was a great hunter, he still worried about her, without knowing what to expect how could one prepare themselves? "If you do go would you allow me to accompany you?" He had no intention of getting in her way, he would do what she asked of him. Intervening only if he deemed it necessary to her survival. He hoped that she would not deny his request.

He did too? It was a relief to know she wasn't alone in her yearning of the outside world.
A slow smile slipped on her face at his question. She didn't even need to ask! His company was not needed, but it was certainly welcomed. "...Yesss. There isss sssafety in numberssss." There was a reason why she liked Nagendra more than her other brothers. Seemed to have more sense and less stupid in his head. She slipped slightly closer to him so she could talk in softer tones. Wouldn't want any of their siblings to catch wind. Last time she tried sneaking out further than normal, she was stopped. "We'll gather sssssupliesss for a few daysss. Then leave at dawn ssssso no one ssseeeesss ussss." This was certainly more exciting than anything that had happened in weeks. Her rose colored eyes almost danced with the thought of what they could find.Shadica I boop you with a post. BOOP!

A smile slid on to his face, he was both relived and excited that she had agreed to let him come with her. He bobbed his head a bit as he bowed to her. "Thank you." He listened intently to her words his purple eyes following her movements.
"That sounds like an excellent plan." He whispered back, not that he had expected her plan to be anything less. The teen could feel the excitement rushing through him at the ideas of what they would find beyond the nest. He would work hard to gather the nessesary supplies without tipping off. Their siblings or parents.
Venturing out of the temple would almost certainly be a dangerous endeavour but even thoughts of injury couldn't expelled the idea that it would be fun. After all how could it be as boring as watching and doing the same old things day after day when they where finding and eating new things. He hoped they would encounter some intresting new prey as they wandered.

Of course it was an excellent plan. She was a rather bright naga, with ambitious plans of the future. She looked around quickly before flicking her eyes to the side. They were still relativley near the entrance of the temple. "Letsss get ssssomewhere where we can lissst what we need." A brief pause as a thought came to mind. She couldn't particularly think of another sibling she'd want to tag along. And the less naga who knew, the greater their chance of actually pulling off their plan.
"Isss there anyone you would want to come?" She hated the idea of sharing the glory with any more pae then the two of them, on top of the aforethought of their plan being exposed. But if he was going to have any regrets of not bringing a favored sibling along, best air them out now.Shadica Even though its all for naught XDD

Nagendra nodded as his sister spoke, it was best to discuss the plans further away from the temple where they had less of a chance of being over heard. Which would lead to their plans being ruined. "Sounds good, lead the way sister." He tried to think of what supplies they might need when they left, in case she decided to ask his opinion.
Speaking of options she had just asked if there was any other siblings he would like to bring. It didn't take him long to shake his head at the idea. "No Priya is best sibling." He responded. He hated the idea of bringing another one of the males since they would most likely focus on fighting him instead of hunting or fighting the dangerous things that lay beyond the nest. Well he liked is other sisters better than the brothers but he didn't have any strong feelings of attachment, just the general concern to keep his family safe and the temple was the safest place. Not to mention that Priya was one of the easiest siblings to get along with, so the traveling would be rather present if it was just the two of them.Tartara Seabreeze Bringing this back from the dead

At the agreement, the female started to slowly slither back towards where she had come from. Putting some distance to the temple, but not so far that anyone would be suspicious.
Best sibling eh? She propped a little taller as she slithered at the thought. Nagendra definitely had less stupid than the other. "I agree. Lessss ssssiblingssss is bessst. We can travel fassster and need lesss to carry." Now farther away from the temple, she could talk in a normal tone rather than hushed whispers. She grabbed a nearby stick before picking a clear patch of dirt. While she didn't really know how to write -it wasn't a skill needed in their life, they were fighters- she could make markings in the sand as visual reminders. "We can make a hole to hide the ssssupliesss as we gather them. Near for quick transssport, but out of the way from dissscovery. We'll need food. At leassst one feeding worth." As nagas, they could last a couple days in between feedings. But the more energy expelled, the sooner they'd need to eat. A careful balance. "Worsssst to worssst however, we could alwayssss hunt on the sssspot." Priya drew a circle to represent 'food'.Shadica WOW, you managed a full two years after my last post lmao Better late than never though

Nagendra followed his sister as she headed over to the sandy spot and started to explain the plan while drawing the required items in the sand. "Hmm close but not obvious. Perhaps we could find a lose stone or make one and create a hole be hind it? Then we can put it back an no one should notice?" He suggested, "Do you have a better plan sister?" While he had voiced an idea, Priya was the one in charge and if she had a spot picked out all ready." His head bobbed showing he was listening as she explained how much food they would need. Silently he thought of ways to collect more food. He could sneakily save some pieces from his dinner to add to the stash or go out for extra hunting.
