[PRP - Plot] Slumber Check Up! (Mane 6 + Fauny Princesses)

Night was falling, casting a darker light inside The Great Tree. Up several levels, in a fairly large room that had been scoped out just for the purpose, was a sleep over waiting to start. Without all the Pinkie touches that only she could bring, it was most clearly a party thrown by a very frantic fauny.

Twilight chewed her nails, incessantly worried about how everything tonight was going to go. Pinkie was going to be there, of course a party would turn out alright, but with everything that had just happened so very recently, would it be welcomed? Without much in the way of paper, Twilight was forced to refrain from making her lists to triple check, but surely everything was there and in order.

Of course, she'd been so immersed in the books found within their new home, Twilight had barely been able to get out of the library when the blast had occurred. For that, she felt terrible. This was her way of making sure everyone knew one another was alive and whole.

Oooh, she needed to double check to make sure everything was perfect for Princess Celestia. And Cadence was going to be there. Twilight was on the verge of pulling her hair out in an attempt to keep everything organized for this. If only she'd been on her game and gotten around to asking everyone over before something huge had happened...

But what if one of them had little foals to bring along? Did she have a spot set aside for foals to sleep? Oh no, she didn't. Heck, she barely knew where she was. After the explosion everything got shifted around. Hopefully they would all be able to find the place easily. But these were her friends, she shouldn't be fretting over this. It was just going to be nice to see everyone again. Alive and whole. And hopefully uninjured, but that was almost more than she could hope for.

[Fea Line]

"Really Fluttershy.....must you bring...him?" Rarity asked gently, as if she were stepping on eggshells around the yellow pegasus. She glanced backwards briefly, offering a half smile before continuing forward towards the room a slumber party with all their friends awaited in. It had been so long since they all had been together, and really, Rarity shouldn't have expected anything else of her shy friend but... under the circumstances. "Don't you think its just a little odd, I mean?" she asked, trying to be gentle about it.



"I can't just leave him all alone Rarity. Not after what happened to the tree. He's so sensitive." Fluttershy cooed, trailing behind the unicorn to continuously pet and dote upon her newest companion, a big brown grizzly bear she named Fuzzy. These days, the pegasus hardly went anywhere without him, though those who knew her, this shouldn't come as a surprise. Still, a bear....in the tree.... was not something other fauns were used too, and that seemed lost on the animal loving pegasus.


"Yes, but Fluttershy, Darling, he's not exactly....well.....tiny...now is he? Where even is he going to fit?" Rarity pressed, hoping to drive home the point that a bear wasn't going to fit in a room....with all their friends....and the princesses. "What about Celestia, Luna, Cadence? Don't you think they might wonder why a bear is at our slumber party?" she chuckled to herself lightly over the joke, smiling and waving casually at a passing faun who most noticeably edged away from the pair and the bear.


Fluttershy laughed softly, scritching the bear's nose as it poked gently into her side, striking a ticklish spot. "Oh don't you worry Rarity, I promise everything is under control. He wouldn't hurt a fly, would you Fuzzy wuzzy wibbzzy baby?" she gurgled at the bear in baby talk, which seemed to make the bear gurgle some sort of roar in response. "There, see! He promises to behave!" she beamed.

Rarity sighed, casting a look back, finding herself on the losing end of this battle. "If you say so, but you know you left your other animal friends all alone too." she said, then quickly realized what a grave mistake she had done.

Open mouth.

Insert hoof.

Reacting lightning quick to the startled squeak from her yellow friend, Rarity clamped her hand down upon Fluttershy's wrist and tugged her forward. "Ah ah ah, too late now Fluttershy. We are here." she smiled, yanking the yellow pegasus back to her side and pointing inside the room where low and behold, stood one of their best friends in the entire world.

"Twilight Sparkle! You haven't changed a bit!" Rarity squealed, dashing forward to embrace her purple friend in a monuments of hugs. "Oooooooh it feels like its been ages...simply ages!"


Having not fled quick enough, Fluttershy was roped back into progressing forward, but once she saw Twilight for the first time in what felt like forever, all her worries vanished. A quiet, typical 'shout' squeaked from her lips as hurried in, but waited patiently for her turn to give the purple unicorn a hug. "I'm soooooooo happy to see you are still well, Oh Twilight!!" she cooed softly, glancing out of the corner of her eye towards her Bear, whom she silently directed to go sit quietly in a corner, also noticing they were the first to arrive. Silently, she hoped Pinkie, Rainbow Dash and AJ weren't far behind. And naturally, the Princess's too, but she hadn't ever been as close to them as Twilight was. Still, it felt good to be here...and it felt right.

"Come on Luna, it will be fun, promise!" Princess Cadence laughed softly, stopping and holding her hand out in gesture for the other Princess to come along. "A night with the girls, all three of us, Twilight Sparkle and her adorable friends. Just like old times." she pink princess smiled, tucking her pink and purple wings behind her back. She could understand the other's apprehensions. What had just happened to the tree and all, the shocking yet exciting discovery that not only was Princess Luna to become a Grandmother so soon after the explosion...... but her sister, Princess Celestia, was to become a mother. "An Aunt and a Grandmother all at the same time. Shimmers of hope in a bleak time." she mused quietly to herself, as the darker princess finally gathered her bearings and left the door of her room.



"I don't doubt it would be.....but is it right, to be spending our time slumbering when Stallion Justmo and Shining Armor have been so busy with mending the tree and spirits?" the darker princess tilted her head, accepting the outstretched hand with a soft sigh. She cast a look back towards her room, though it was empty. Mo had been busier than a bee, just about minding the tree while Rais took care of other duties. And her children..... Moony still recovering. Twinkletoes still a bit off since the blast.....and now Wild Moon, a father. Not to mention her dearest sister, a mother to two handsome boys. It was all very hard to put that to the back of her mind and get in the mood to simply 'enjoy herself.'

Cadence simply smiled and patted her hand lightly. "Don't worry, everything will be fine. It's good once and a while to take a break and remember the good things in life. And I'm sure Celestia is not far behind us now." Cadence smiled, leading Luna along towards the designated meeting spot. She too had worries in her mind, her sons and her husband, each wanting to help out as best as they could. She too had offered her services to tend to the wounded or the emotional. To bring peace in any way she could. But it felt good to finally have a chance to just relax and take care of herself. And with that thought, a sly smile spread across her face. "Do you think Celestia will bring her little ones?" she asked softly, silently hoping so. How she wanted to see the ever clueless smiles of young again.

"I do not know. We must wait and see." Luna said, her more serious expressions still quite enact on her face as she glanced behind her, hoping to see the white figure of her sister not far behind. Though they became someone confused and concerned as they drew near the meeting room and the distinct gurgling roar of an animal could be heard not far up. "Was that....... a bear?!" she asked startled, peeking into the room to see.

Low and behold, there was a bear....sitting in the corner.

But also Twilight Sparkle, and two of her friends already arrived. Instantly, it felt as if some of the worries had been gone from her chest, and the night princess allowed herself to smile. "Twilight Sparkle, how good it is to see you." she nodded respectfully upon entering the room.


"Sure sounded like one..." Cadence said, too having heard the sounds of a bear. But upon seeing the occupants already in the room, a laugh escaped her and a smile spread wide across her face. Of course he had to belong to Fluttershy, but that's not what Cadence had focused on first.

"Twiliight!!" she shouted excitedly, running forward to also scoop up her most favorite filly in the world into one large embrace. "And Rarity, Fluttershy as well. Its so good to see you all." she beamed, almost as if she was positively glowing. Tonight was going to be so much fun, she just knew it. There was no doubt in her mind that it wouldn't be, not in the company of such amazing friends and family.

As they had thought, the white princess fared not far behind her sister and niece, her arms warmed by the two little bundles she carried so tenderly, as if the slightest abrasion might cause them irrevocable harm. Even her walking seemed lighter than normal, perhaps from her motherly pride, perhaps a form of intentional, practiced caution. Were it not for the circumstances in which she'd learned of their presence, perhaps her actions would have differed.

But she had learned in the infirmary immediately following the explosion, the result of a routine check-up when she'd brought Faroth in for care. It had been surprising, yes.

Unwelcome... Perhaps a bit at the time.

Wonderful? Certainly. From that time of such devastation and pain came news of hope about her: news of the two little ones sleeping in her arms and news of Wild Moon's own, her sister a grandmother so soon! It had been terribly exciting, horrifically enticing.

To hear of Twilight's summons had been incredibly pleasant. It felt far too long since Celestia had last had intimate conversations with those dearest to her. They had certainly exchanged greetings in passing, small conversations here and there, but there had not been the appropriate situation nor time for anything substantial. As beautiful as her growing family was, she disliked the thought that she might be growing out of touch and feared slightly that she might unintentionally been returning to the time before she and Faroth were lost. That was something she would never allow to happen again.

As it were, her own arrival was not two minutes past the other two princesses.

The princess of the sun's smile could have warmed even the coldest of rooms as she entered. "Luna dearest! Cadence!" she exclaimed, hurrying beside them. "You two look simply resplendent," she commented as she leaned in to give each of them a one-armed hug, "Have your children been faring well? Stallions JustMo and Shining Armor?" Though she didn't want to stir up any negative thoughts, she legitimately wanted to make sure all was still well.

"Twilight," she began as she turned to look to the hostess. "It has been much too long. Still ever-occupied with your studies, I presume?"

Then to Rarity and Fluttershy. "You two look lovely this evening. Is that..." the princess just noticeably paused as her eyes moved to glance at the bear in the corner, "...he... yours, Fluttershy?" A bear?
