An equestrian world, known to few as Ahmzikaahr, lived peacefully under the rule of the Spirit Stones. The stones each contain an elemental spirit inside, they control the balance of life in this world and keep the harmony at peace. There are six main stones; Life, Death, Day, Night, Love and Dreams. To reflect their powers on this world, they require the Thousand Mirror Stones that float and rotate around this planet, they look like white stars to you and I. A wizard named Zehkmiya The Shade, who travels in the form of shape-shifting shadows, has studied the stones for centuries and has found a way to take fragments of their powers to keep him alive, but unfortunately he lost his physical body during his earlier experiments and is forced to remain a shadow until he can find a host. It wasn't until a few hundred years later that he discovered a way to create a very powerful body to call his own...He needed to take one of the Mirror stones and reflect his soul into it, and become one with the stone. By doing this, he will become god-like and indestructible. He managed to use the last of his dwindling powers to steal one of the stones, but before he could complete the transfer, the spirit's intervened and attacked him, his soul was cast into a black stone and banished into the sea...but the Mirror stone was lost into the mortal world, it's whereabouts unknown for hundreds of years. The balance of life was shifted; War had broken out in different parts of the world and many of the Equestrian cities had to be evacuated to small islands in the ocean, so they'd be safe from harm. Over time, the war's and plagues on the world had calmed, and some of the herds returned to the mainland to start anew. The islands that are still inhabited have been connected to the mainland by stone and steel bridges, so the communities can still remain in contact. On the mainland harbor lies a small herd-community consisting of a mere 367 different kinds of horse species, two trouble makers have begun snooping through the market along the shore in hopes of finding their favorite but most expensive fruit; Demi-Apples. Now, they aren't exactly thieves...BUT they do have sticky hooves from time to time. While snooping they encounter a strange peddler who claims to have an item that has "called" to them and has chosen them to "return it to it's rightful place in the stars..." Curious, they listen eagerly....
