Save for the battles against the Mara, something that was unavoidable given how aggressive they were, it had been some time since Junjie had gone hunting. Looking from side to side he shook his head, amending that thought in his mind. He wasn't hunting per say, he was on patrol, tasked with making sure that nothing got too close to their camp. It was a job that everyone took turns doing, knowing full well that a large group in the middle of Eowyn would draw attention to itself. Especially at night when creatures were more aggressive. It was his job, as well as that of his two Khehora, to keep an eye out so that they the others could sleep more easily.
"Do you see anything yet?" He asked through the bond to his two bonded, both of which were flying over head, keep an eye out from high above since it gave them a better point of view.
"I don't see anything... wait, no... I think something is moving out there. Arjan, do you see that?" Abellio asked, there was a long moment of silence before Arjan gave a positive sound, not a real reply but the Kiandri was a lot closer to what was moving around. His caution had Junjie tightening his hand on his dragon headed staff, starting to gather energy to himself just in case.
It was a moment later that Arjan reappeared where Junjie was, landing alongside him, only then did he finally speak up, "Gaili. Too dark to say how many and the new moon isn't helping us at all." It was dark, annoyingly so, and that made it harder then he'd like to count how many creatures they were up against.
A moment after Arjan landed Abellio was joining them, looking at Junjie, "Are you ready for this? I know it's been a while since we've dealt with dragons and you've mostly been acting as a healer of late." He sounded a little worried, at least until Junjie gave him a gentle scratch under the neck to sooth his worried.
"I'll be fine, Abellio. Come, let's see about meeting these Gaili head on. We don't want them getting too close to our sleeping people." He said, walking forward, gathering more energy, the brightly, near blinding energy that went about with his Aeduan magic. It was as his weapon started to glow, lighting up the area, that he spotted some of the incoming Gaili. There were two of them, though he somehow doubted that was all of them. Arjan wouldn't be on edge if it were 'merely' two dragons no matter how big the Gaili might be.
The first spell that Junjie cast was one to blind the dragons, something that drew a great roar from them, and the next was one he cast in sync with Abellio, a spell to entangle his foes, "Alright, all together now." He said to his bonded as he lifted his weapon and at once the three of them send a wave of magical energy forward toward their opponents, wiping them out swiftly, leaving behind naught but a couple of Gaili orbs. Junjie smiled, nodding at the Khehora, before walking forward to fetch the orbs, "Good job you two, let's continue our patrol though. I somehow doubt that is all of them."
There were more out there and now that their group had struck the first blow the other dragons would know where they were. It was best that they took up the offensive to make sure the other Gaili didn't get anywhere near the camp. Instead they would use their power to distract the dragons, lead them away from the others, and wipe them out before they because a threat.

The next bit of patrolling bought them a distance from the camp, to where there were a few other dragons waiting, seeming as though they were debating their next move when it came to an attack against those in the tents who were sleeping. It was something that Junjie giving a soft sigh, "It would be nice if we could sleep somewhere without worrying about someone or something coming after us." He murmured, knowing that it sounded a bit on the snippy side but he couldn't help it, he wanted his group, his daughter, to be able to rest easily at night. There was a part of him that wondered if they shouldn't have settled down in Tukyere in a more permanent sense. At least then they would be able to sleep through the night amongst those who were far less likely to attack them since they were akin to them. Tempting, but he didn't want to leave the group entirely so that he could settle down. Not to mention that he didn't think that Keona would just leave Bisera behind since it meant that their age old rivalry might fall apart.
"You just need to get stronger." Arjan said, glancing toward Junjie before he turned toward the dragons, "I have always said that but you and Abellio, you like the cushy life too much." Not something that the Kiandri Khehora really seemed to care for. No, he'd much rather have Junjie, as well as maybe Keona, working themselves to the bone so that they would become tougher and able to deal with threats like dragons or those who didn't care for hybrids as they arose.
His tail twitched for a moment before he said, "We can worry about rest later, we need to deal with these two dragons first." With that he dragged in a deep breath, gathering a good amount of electrical energy into him and released it in a large burst of electrical breath. The attack flew forward toward where the dragons were laying wait, crashing into them. While Arjan had lost a lot of his own personal power through the bond he had with Jun it didn't make him a weakling. As such the dragons seemed momentarily stunned before he said, "Come on you two light weights, finish them off. We need to continue with our patrols. Keeping everyone safe is far more important then sulking because you can't be forever safe. After what happened with the Mara you should realize things are never simple and no where is completely safe." With that he took to the air to take a few more shots at the dragons.
Junjie glanced at Abellio and said, "I hate to admit it but he could be right." He said, lifting his dragon head staff, moving it from side to side, gathering energy for a spell. The first spell was meant to blind them, something Abellio and Arjan looked away from when they saw the color of the energy Junjie was gathering. The spell went off without a hitch, sending the dragons snarling and scrambling... but they didn't get far before Junjie and Abellio's combined entangle spell captured the two of them swiftly. From there it was another powerful attack later and the dragons had been dispatched, leaving Junjie to collect their orbs, putting them in his pack, before the patrols continued.
They would keep at the patrol until their turn was over, would make sure that no dragons got anywhere near to those that they were protecting. It might be a tiring venture but one that would be worth it provided that they were able to both keep the dragons at bay and continue to gather orbs. Junjie wasn't exactly sure what he was gathering them for at this point but he knew he could trade them off for supplies if nothing else. Knowing they always had that option for getting things the hunting party might need tended to put him at ease.
