Choice made Kyrian waited for Rham to move. He was nervous about what they would find if they went further in. Would there be monsters? Would there be treasure? Or nothing? Either way. He would have fun with his best friend. He smiled at Rham, “Well?”
“Leftward ho!” And like that, he walked with Kyrain to the left, looking down at the trail of sorts as they walked, watching their feet. Finally he looked up and just looked at Kyrian with a little grin on his lips and then patted his hip.
“We can’t explore if we’re glued like this.” So with one squeeze to those slender hips, Rham toddled off ahead of him and laughed. “So far nothing but ...Wait.” He paused, listening with brows knitting. “Waterfall? I think there’s water in here!”

Kyrian squeaked at the squeeze, Rham’s hands were cold! He rubbed at his hips when Rham stepped away and stuck out his tongue, “Your hands are cold!” he tilted his head to listen in. Oh there was the sound of water...he smiled as he walked towards the sound. His jaw fell slightly open…
“R-rham! You gotta see this…” the small cavern path had led out into a large cavern which had a small waterfall on one side. Kyrian giggled as he saw the lines along the left side spiral towards an opening on the other side. Kyrian looked back to Rham, “This. Is so cool!”
As Kyrain sped ahead, Rham blinked and just lazily followed after him. And then he saw what the other was talking about and he just let out a sigh of appreciation. His blue-green eyes were impossibly wide before he laughed and moved toward the waterfall, making his way over to it to stick his hand under the water, hissing and jerking it back.
“Ooookay. Cold. Very cold.” He shoved his hands in the pockets of his pants and just puffed. “Man, we should explore caves more often!” And then he saw the opening and naturally he grew curious. “Heeey, scaredy cat. I dare you to walk into that opening first.”

Kyrian’s bright blue eyes glittered as he laughed at Rham’s expense, “Well, that’s what you get for putting your hand in water. Its going to be cold silly!” he stepped up next to the other male to look at the water. It was a interesting navy blue which seemed to meld perfectly into a blue black as it flowed toward a hole in the wall, “Wonder if the water flows all the way to the end of the path those lines are taking us on.”
He blinked then looked back at Rham, “Seriously?!?” he looked at the opening, “If I feel anything I’m screaming.” he sighed, “Okay...I’m going…” he walked towards the semi-darkness. Taking in a deep breath he poked his head through and then glanced back to Rham. Gulping he took a few steps into the pathway beyond. Rubbing his arms as it was still cold, Kyrian made a mental note to bring a cloak the next time they went down here.
Rham was not amused at the other’s look and laughing at his misfortune of shoving his hand in cold water. In all honesty he wanted to shove his hand on the boy’s back, but he wouldn’t. That would be cruel and unusual punishment for laughing. Instead he just mimicked and mocked his words before snorting at how he was acting about going in.
Yeah, he almost felt bad for making him do this, but he didn’t have to take the dare! So, he followed closely behind, warmed up hand sliding along those hips again as he followed him into the semi-darkness. “It only gets darker..”

Kyrian shivered for a whole new reason when he felt Rham’s hand slide along his hips. It was comfort in an odd way. He glanced back with a hum, “Then...what do we do? Turn back and get a torch? But then who knows how long that would last in here...or do we continue on and hope glowing crystals lay ahead. I mean..I did hear one of the couples talk about how they found a cluster or two in one of the cave systems.”
Personally Kyrian was hoping for the crystal clusters, a necklace of one of those would be awesome to share with Rham. Maybe they would find treasure here.
An urge to do something with the other made Rham flush and just clear his throat. He acted like he got caught in the act of doing something when, in all honesty, he was still being innocent. Aside from hugs and maybe some clustering together at night, nothing was happening between Kyrian and Rham, and he knew that. They were friends.
Probably too young to be thinking about what he was thinking about. So, he focused on the crystals for a moment, or the potential to find some. “I say we… Go a little deeper. If there’s nothing up ahead we’ll turn back.”

Kyrian nodded then continued to proceed further down the path. He placed his hand on the wall shivering at the trickle of water which slipped down. He squeaked backing into Rham before looking at the wall, “I think the water’s on the other side of this wall.”
He looked back then walked out into the next slightly smaller cavern, the water was back flowing along one side. Kyrian watched it for a moment before looking up at the wall. He smiled, “Rham look!” with an excited little bounce to his steps he reached up to gently touch a small handful of glowing crystals.
“Just like they said!”
He watched Kyrian explore ahead of him, making sure nothing was following them (not that he could see or hear anyway) and took quiet pleasure in the other really getting into this. This is what they’d both needed. A break from the normal, every day boring things. They were boys! They needed something to charge their instincts, and exploring caves and possibly getting treasure or getting into danger is what they needed!
He grinned a bit wider as Kyrian pointed out the glowing crystals and he moved to touch one or two before attempting to get them from the walls. “These would make amazing night lights for the younger ones, yeah?” He ..wanted them for himself, shut up. No one knew about that. The dark didn’t agree with him, but only at night. For some reason knowing the sun wouldn’t be up for hours if he got in trouble was more scary to him than potentially running into some sort of beast in a cave.
“Get some for yourself.”

Kyrian was enjoying himself so much. This was what he needed a chance to just be a boy and hang out with a good friend. The caves were a great way to explore more than their current territory. Also a good way to explore themselves in a way. At least that’s what Kyrian thought as he stroke the rock around the crystals. His mind was starting to drift as he mused about random things. He dug a little at the wall around the crystals before the small cluster popped out and into his hand. With a squeak the male giggled, “Got it! This gives enough light for us to see! We can go further!”
The glow of the pale light added a eerie brightness to his bright blue eyes. He looked behind him at the path leading further in, “Did you want to?”
“Uuh,” he paused in his steps to go gather more crystals and blinkd. Did he? Rham tilted his head to the side and then tapped his lips lightly.
“I mean we could. We’ve only taken one big turn.” The sun was still going to be up for a few more hours, so they still had plenty of time. Grinning, he moved over to take hold of Kyrian’s wrist and tugged him along further down the path, past the chamber they were in. “If it starts getting too cold, I’m going to turn back. Neither of us have the right outerwear for the cold.” With that, the blond boy with brown streaks in his hair padded forth like he wasn’t the least bit hesitant about this.

Kyrian smiled as they went further in, he knew they had time before dark. His Mother had rules about how late the kids were allowed to stay out. With that in mind Kyrian hoped they found something in here. Looking up he blinked, “Hey Rham...there’s little crystals on the ceiling. That’s neat.”
It was a random little observation he took note of. Then he looked ahead, “I think there’s more ahead, I see a bigger glow.”
He looked up when Kyrian pointed it out and Rham’s blue-green eyes sparkled a bit more as his grin grew. “That’s really neat. Pretty.” He wrapped an arm around the boy’s waist and hauled him forward more, half taking off when he noticed the bigger glow too. “Maybe we can bring home a HUGE crystal and make lots of neat things with it. Like maybe some necklaces for everyone so we can find each other in the dark?”
Walking backwards, Rham put his hands behind his back and just beamed at Kyrian. At least until he tripped on a rock and let out a loud yelp. “Crap!”

Kyrian smiled as Rham got close, for some odd reason he really enjoyed the other male’s warmth. Nodding he looked up again at the soft glow. Then he looked down to make sure he didn’t trip...much like his best friend did. It was a odd stammering squeak which escaped him as he cringed. One hand had tried to reach out, but ended up curled by his mouth. He took the last few steps forward and blinked; “Rham...your not bleeding are you?”
“I’m… good. I’m okay,” he murmured, rubbing his head. Slowly he took Kyrian’s hand and climbed up with him and just groaned. “It hurts, but it’s not bleeding.” He didn’t even feel a bump coming on yet, so that was good. With a disgruntled noise, he blinked when he heard something skittering around in the direction of the bigger glow.
He paused to listen closer, eyes narrowing, trying to see a moving shape or anything but he didn’t. “...Should we go or call it a day?”

Kyrian didn’t hear the skittering like Rham did. The youth was distracted with helping the other to his feet. He held up his small glowing cluster to see as he moved around to gently shift through Rham’s hair to see for himself. Smiling he nodded, “Looks good to me. Huh...uh yeah. All we need is a larger cluster to take home…”
Turning the slender male walked into the larger cavern, “Oh wow…” he let out a breath, “Rham...its a rainbow in here!” the smaller male looked over the many colors reflecting around the walls. Totally oblivious to anything else he smiled at a pale indigo cluster, “Why don’t we take this one back?”
The skittering Rham heard was coming closer, but Rham wasn’t listening for it this time. Instead he was focused on wandering after the other blond before laughing at his words. “A rainbow?” He didn’t believe Kyrian until he entered the large cavern and his eyes lit up. “Oh.. Well, you really weren’t joking about it being a rainbow…” He wandered next to his friend, arm slipping around his shoulder before looking down at him.
“Do it.” He laughed and gave Kyrian a shove before looking behind him in time to see spitorog staring at them from the entrance. A yelp left Rham’s throat before he stared at the slow creature and just snorted. “Aw, jeeze…” He breathed a sigh of relief, rubbing his chest, heart pounding inside of it. “We have a visitor.”

Kyrian giggled as he felt his friend come in contact with him. He looked up at Rham before nodding as he walked away to try and wiggle the large cluster out. Scraping at the ground the youth was happy to see that the cluster seemed quite loose already. He giggled as he managed to pull it up about halfway before hearing Rham’s yelp. He looked over his shoulder quickly to chuckled at his friend, “Indeed we do.”
Bringing the cluster up into his arms the youth blinked, “Well, I got the cluster. How were we going to get past our little...visitor?”
How indeed. A hand came up and rubbed the back of his neck before he just took a deep breath and glanced at the spitorog and just frowned deeply. Rham glanced over at Kyrian to see the cluster, see how big it was, and just blink. It was bigger than he thought it would be. Okay. “Uuhm.. Maybe we can just walk past it? It… doesn’t seem to be wanting to hurt us or anything. It’s just kind of there.”

Kyrian nodded, “Okay.” he started to walk past the creature. Eyeing it before quickly stepping around the creature and dashing further down the path. He looked back to Rham, “Rham. You coming?” his voice only sounded slightly panicky. Kyrian was worried that maybe there was something bigger around that might have spotted Rham. The young musician shifted before a small whimper escaped.
“On my way!” He called back to the other, eyeing the creature.
It took him a few attempts to walk around it the way Kyrian did, mainly because it bubbled at him and made him whimper (Hopefully Kyrian didn’t hear him whimpering). Finally he just pushed himself against the wall, back to the rock and walked around it before darting towards his friend, laughing the whole time. He grabbed hold of Kyrian’s arm once he got close enough and tugged him towards the entrance of the cave, very much planning on taking him home.
“Hurry, before it gets dark!”

Kyrian chuckled along with his friend as the two made their way out and into the valley beyond. The blond smiled as he spoke, “So...we have our treasure! What do we do now? Sleep together like we always do?” it was purely innocent. Kyrian always slept better with someone next to him. Rham was his first pick whenever the other male was visiting. Other than him Kyrian usually had a younger sibling with him to help socialize them with their family group. He leaned slightly to hear what Rham would say…
He had them stop running once they were far enough from the cave and he just let out a breathless laugh. “Yeah. I think mom is wanting to stay with the group today. Dad’s out again, doing who knows what.” Rham didn’t really worry about what his father did because he always came home and mom was always happy when he did. “Then we can figure out what to do with the crystals tomorrow.” That boyish grin on his face grew even wider before he walked next to Kyrian and nudged their shoulders together. “Last one there is a rotten egg!”
With that, Rham took off ahead of Kyrian but always made sure to look over his shoulder for the blond.
