Once again, Rastian returned to the spot he'd found the strange creature in, but this time he'd done his research. As it turned out, the creature he'd encountered was called a Perzi, it's plural being Perzai. They were native to Oba, which made quite a bit of sense if you thought about the war. He mused to himself about it as he moved towards the abandoned crates again and peered at the remains of the bag he'd left from the last encounter a few days prior. The bag had been pretty much ripped to shreds, which was more or less expected, the poor thing had been pretty hungry when he'd been here last. He bent down to collect the pieces of the bag from the ground and placed them in his satchel, before turning his attention towards a pair of ears that had appeared beside him. The Perzi was back, as predicted, and had nuzzled itself against him. He reached out to give it a pet on the head before handing it a treat from within his pocket.

"You're just a little mush, aren't you?" He chuckled as it devoured the treat, a happy little meow bursting forth as it finished. "Who owned you before this, eh? How could they leave such a cute thing like you?"

The Perzi was content to be scratched along it's ears and back, like the book had said, but seemed to lurch away every time he went to pick it up. Hadn't the book said they were okay with humans? Was it the fact that he wanted to pick it up the problem? Was it not used to being scooped up like that? Poor little thing, it must've been neglected. Maybe it just needed some time to heal from the horrors of the war. He tried, once again, to pick it up before it retreated to the trees again. This time he followed it, hoping that it would come back down again if he continued to feed it from the tree, only to receive hiss after hiss in return. He pouted, disappointed by this set back and left a few treats for it beside a tree, before trying, once again, to talk to it.

"Come on little guy, all I want to do is take care of you." He said, dodging the swipe of an angry paw. He grimaced, shook his head, and turned back for home. Fine, he'd come back again in a few days, when it had the time to calm down. Until then, it could be left to fend for itself. The only thing that made him feel bad for leaving it was the fact that the book had said that the Perzai lived together in packs in the wild. How long could it stand to be alone out in the woods? Or... Was it really as alone as he thought it was?
