Personality:
►►► Kali is 43 years old, barely a proper adult among her people. (Nagari routinely live to be 325+ years old, and Seekers are functionally immortal.) She still has some of her childlike wonder and curiosity, and likes to see the good in people, but her time with Nagari Intelligence is working to make her jaded and cynical. She's adopted most of their prejudices, and can easily slip into talking down to those who the organization less than approves of.
History:
►►► Kali was born on Samarakand Station in orbit of the Nagari homeworld, Dakhara. Samarakand is one of the most well-trafficked stations in the region, seeing a lot of civilian shipping traffic and even the occasional military vessel, which come for shore leave or to make use of the adjacent repair facilities. During her childhood, Kali would often sit by the windows in one of the station atria and watch the traffic pass by, and her sleep was filled with dreams of sailing off on a ship like them some day. Since her family owned a freight business, she would, as she got older, hijack drone links to practice her piloting skills, until she was chastised by her father and banned from it for accidentally crashing one into the side of a freighter, though they could never quite figure out how she was managing to do it in the first place. She honored his wishes, of course, so she starting taking trips on those same short-haul freighters and slowly came to the realization of how uneventful the entire experience actually was. But since she had greatly enjoyed the experiences she'd had with her family's drones, she applied to the Madjai – the Nagari home defense fleet – when she came of age, with the intent of becoming a patrol-combatant pilot and part of the backbone of the fleet.
►►► She didn't even complete basic training. After her first few routine examinations, she was pulled aside and instructed to link with a computer that purported to focus her Kan Nagari potential. When she entered trance, she found an individual waiting for her; he identified himself as an agent of Nagari Intelligence, belonging to a secretive branch that people seldom even hear whispers of – and which some doubt exists at all. He seemed surprised by her presence, though he informed her that she had been expected. He explained that her Madjai examinations had revealed an incredible Kan Nagari potential, and the ease with which she had just joined their network was proof of it. He offered her a position with Intelligence, to be trained as one of the powerful Nagari operators called Seekers, and learn to bend the Nagari Continuum to her whims. She accepted readily, and all information about her has been classified Level Omega.
