Megrez was tired. This much was true. The sheer emotional overload of days past had taken its toll, and after she finally broke her strong facade when everyone was rescued, she must have cried for days straight out of relief and exhaustion. It was the fifth day since the rescue, and she finally felt settled enough to patrol again and stop texting Jeanne every five minutes to make sure she was okay. She had to sweep up any crumbs that might still have been crawling around since the rescue, after all. That didn't mean she was 100% back in the game, however; she spent most of her time wandering idly around with no particular destination in mind, her head thoroughly in the clouds. After about an hour of drifting through the city, she slumped onto a park bench. Propping her head up on one arm placed on the armrest of the bench, her eyes began to flutter.

Yep. Megrez was about to take a nap on patrol.

"Bzuh?" Megrez jolted awake at the sound of her name. At first, her grogginess kept her from figuring out exactly where the call had come from, but eventually she looked down and around and found the source. "Oh, hey, Ash," she said, with a drowsy smile. "How've you been? Thanks for your help during the rescue mission, by the way. That mass message probably got us some extra help that wouldn't even have known about what was happening otherwise." Sadachbia came to mind. How else would a four-day-old senshi happen upon such an important mission? It wasn't exactly in an area of town where people could stumble upon it by chance very easily.

Megrez would have winced at the kneading had she been more present. "A lot on your mind? Like what?" She was sure that whatever it was, it had to be a real issue. Ash didn't seem to be prone to backsliding into typical cat thoughts. "What you did was still a great help. Don't make it out to be any less. As for me... well." She idly rubbed a sore spot on her side. "It was me, a Page, and a basic senshi versus three lieutenants. They all ganged up on me and knocked me out, and if the Page didn't haul me out, I think they would have tried to divide my starseed among the three of them. Speaking of that basic senshi, I think she might have been one of yours. Do you know Sailor Sadachbia?"

"Yeah, she was a trooper. She got a nasty shock when she figured out what was up with that senshi youma, though. Poor girl." Megrez's enthusiasm faded with Ash's, and she gave the cat a gentle scritch behind the ear. "Oh no, oh no," she mumbled. "That's awful... are you sure she wasn't just gotten out and you didn't notice? I'm not saying you wouldn't notice, but... who knows. I'll help you search for her, if you'd like."

"Amphitrite... got it. And I'd be happy to go through your search areas. If no one else goes with me, I can try calling up Sadachbia and seeing if she'll want to go with me. She could use the field experience. She told me that she hadn't even read the Primer before she dove into the hostage situation. Can you believe that?" Megrez kept the scritches coming for Ash, glad for some fuzzy comfort. The mention of feeling stronger confused her a bit; while she knew that she had become more competent as a senshi, she wasn't feeling very strong at all right now. "Yeah, I guess I've been doing a lot, especially recently. What do you mean when you say I feel stronger?"

Megrez's eyes went wide at the mention of the pen and the new henshin phrase. "An upgrade? Now? Wow. How long has it been since I first went to Super?" There was a slight hesitation before she pulled out the pen, as though she wasn't sure she deserved the upgrade just yet, but she took it out of subspace anyway and stood up. Sucking in a deep breath, she announced the fateful words: "Megrez Eternal, Make-Up!"

An egg of light formed around Megrez just as it did when she transformed normally. It appeared to crack, and shards of the egg flew away to reveal a new Eternal senshi. When her new fuku consolidated, Megrez looked at it with awe, going from the golden egg brooch to the new gloves to those infamous buttwings. "I made it," she said softly, a bit stunned. "I made it to Eternal."

Megrez chuckled and gave Ash a scritch behind the ears. "Thank you, Ash. Thank you." She took a look around; the city around her seemed brighter, clearer. "Somehow, I feel like I'm energized. I can keep going now." She sat back down to give the Mauvian a little less distance to jump. "I don't know how much longer I'll be patrolling for, but I think I might make one last sweep of the area before I go home."
