Personality: Sophie is generally quiet and fairly well put together, hard working, but very shy. Though, she is also a nature lover at heart and unwavering when she sets her mind on something, but can lose her generally fairly polished demeanor surprisingly easily when alone, as she can get flustered easily by others. She tends to rely quite a bit on her older sister, Christina Dechering, but if she must she can take a stand on her own-she just usually prefers not to rock the boat, and leave that to others.

Background Information: Sophie considers her life story fairly boring. Her parents were both purebloods from middle income families that had met at Salem Institute for Witchcraft and Wizardry. Their relationship grew a bit more complicated after her father had joined the werewolf division and was bit and infected as a werewolf. However, neither of her parents saw that as a reason to break up and just chose to move into a small Muggle town in Northern Georgia. There her mother did tarot readings (which was mostly a joke or scam, depending on how much you bought into it) and her father owned a health food store and flower shop. Both her older sister, Christina, and she was born in Georgia after their parents had moved to there. She followed the traditional education system of America, first attending pre-wiz school and then attending Salem.

Things were quite ordinary in many ways for her and her family, until the summer Sophie was 16. It was a normal thing for her and her family at this point that her father was a werewolf and her father generally just ordered Wolfsbane regularly from a potioneer or made his own Wolfsbane. However, during that summer, when Sophie spotted her father injured she had gone to him to help, while he was in his wolf form, assuming the wolfsbane was working like usual; however, due to what is only assumed a slight brewing error, Tucker Dechering snapped and end up biting Sophie. Once Tucker Dechering returned to his human form the next day he decided he could not face the guilt of the issue and chose to take his own life leaving Sophie entirely as a lone werewolf with no pack affiliation.

Sophie went on to complete her education at Salem, but Sophie always thought the incident made her sister more serious and fussy. Christina thought it was her duty as an older sister to look over Sophie. Sophie once she graduated from Salem returned to her hometown to help her mother run their family business. That continued until 2025 when Christina accepted a job as a healing professor at Hogwarts and decided to drag Sophie along with her. Christina purchased a house on several wooded acres outside of Hogsmeade, where Sophie now works.
