The gentle songs of the songbirds filled the early evening as Cassiopeia traveled further through the woods. She smiled as one little songbird flew down to perch on her back. It sang sweetly to her and Cassi felt herself weaving her head to the tune. This encouraged the colorful bird and as they walked, more birds followed and joined in. In fact, Cassi found herself coming to a halt as a few familiars stuck their heads out of trees or from under bushes, smaller critters joining them as well. One brave little mouse stepped forward and bowed, smiling shyly before bobbing in place to the songbirds music.
Cassi sighed and laughed. "You've been following me!" She said gently, recognizing the mouse. And a few of the birds as well. She'd danced with them two nights ago.
"At this rate, you silly things will extend my journey even more!" Not that she minded, really. Cassi wasn't sure where she was going. Not exactly. She knew where she wanted to go. Just not... where it was located.
Her grandmother had told her of a beautiful place. One in which the folk were sweet natured and believed themselves part of the land itself. A great cerynei herd! Her grandmother had been there once, though she did not stay. The desire to travel and see the rest of the land was too strong a pull. It wasn't until she was much older that her grandmother finally settled down. And started a family. And enchanted her granddaughter with tales of the Vanaras. A place Cassi determined early on she would one day try and find. She wished to have brought grandmother with her, but the old mare finally returned to the land in eternal peace. So, Cassiopeia set out on her own.
Her hips started to sway, tail feathers rustling gently and moving fluidly. She tossed her mane and closed her eyes, letting the music guide her movements as she started up a chipper dance. When she opened her eyes again, twisting to the side and back, she saw the little mouse and several others bouncing around in their own rendition of a dance.
