Aiden flicked his long tail as he walked along a fallen tree, he enjoyed pacing his territory, his mother had chunked up the lands she had claimed long before she had met his father between on the kits, and Aiden enjoyed his chunk.
Hunting was decent, enough prey came through to keep the young male fit and healthy, he kept an eye on things around so that no one else poached on his lands, that he wouldn't tolerate.
Coming upon a tree he had marked some months pass, he eyed the deep grooves in the tree from his claws and dug in again, making deeper, fresher marks.

Her family had claimed land. Everything about innocence and love was taught to them. But with their family came a taste of temptation and a shadow that seemed to follow them where ever they went. Isra was innocent and sweet but someone or something was in her heart.... which led her to wander.
She wandered so far away from home that she felt the shadow disappear. For once in her life.
Her tail padded softly as she looked about where she come to be. Her paw lifted as her body stopped. "Where....am I?" Her voice chirped. A bird flew down and landed on her head.. "opp! Where did you come from " She laughed softly..

The flutter of movement caught his attention, his eyes flashed as he looked around in the direction of the sound, he stalked through the shadows, that hide him seemingly well. His frame was made up of mainly dark colors except for the pale mint green that dappled his spots and colored his eyes, a few little traits he had from his father, he shook his head with an image of his parents, so different but so well suited and he did love them.
But he had to find out who was trapping around his land, surely none of those who were enjoying the celebration had made it out this far, he was sure his parents were there as well enjoying it all, but he felt more peaceful out here than surrounded by all the unknown.
He scented the air, the heavy smell of another caught his attention completely, silently moving, he paused when he found the unknown female, he watched her silently from the shadows. Friendly or dangerous?

Flicking her tail as she watched the birds come and swoop down for the other one that sat on her. Without warning they all flew away and she looked at her surroundings with awe. Closing her eyes. "It's Gone.." Happily sighing... Lifting her paws up and letting herself fall backwards in to the leads. They jumped and danced up on top of her and she giggled happily. Rolling around in it and out came a small squirrel from the leafs as well. Nose to nose- they simply stared at each other and Isra stood as still as a rock. Then.. any small move- then BAM! A sound a loud crack sounded and the squirrel whipped around the ulaya so quickly that it could make your head spin!
Shivering. Isra looked around and softly covered the squirrel's head over her shoulder. "Hello..? Is anyone there...?" The sweet and innocence just flowing out of her maw, the sun rays peeked in to the woodlands from above, making glowing spots in the ground. "Hello....?" She called.

Aiden rolled his shoulders, she was little to no threat to him, he prowled out of the shadows, head lowered between his shoulders as his tail flicked out behind him, large paws bringing him forward.
He had followed in the paw prints of his mother and uncle, wild, free and untamed, he preferred his forest to the rest of the world, enjoyed the solitude of his life and the comforts of the forest.
He didn't say anything, he simply stopped not to close to her, but visible now, his ears twitched around, catching the innocent sound of her voice and the sounds of the forest life around them.

When the male popped out, Isra turned behind her and eyed him from head to toe. Blinking softly as she took a step back.. "Um.. I don't mean..um... is this ..your lands? I'll- Um...." He was a dark colored male. Reminded her of what she had been running from- the darkness. But while she looked at him, she didn't -fear-. Like she would have if she were home.
"You...aren't real." She closed her eyes tightly and started slowly walking backwards. "You aren't real. IM NOT SCARED OF YOU." She lifted her body and covered her ears. "IM NOT SCARED OF YOU!" She yelled... But when she opened her eyes- he was still there. "No.."
"YOU ARENT REAL! WHY ARE YOU FOLLOWING ME!" She got on all fours and tried to puff out her body, but it failed horribly to look intimidating. Especially for her sweet looking face. "I'm..not afraid..." Her steps finally stopped when her rump hit the base of a tree. Lowering her body to make a run for it- waiting on the next move he'd make.

Aiden watched her reaction to him, his head flopped to the side as his brows knitted together in slight confusion. "What are you going on about?" He said with clear confusion in his voice.
"Yes, these are my lands..and yes, I am real..At least I'm pretty sure I'm real." He flicked his tail out behind him. "Think my parents would have noticed if I wasn't.." He sat down now, and rubbed a paw over his face. Of course he would end up with a crazy..yet cute chick on his lands, what luck.
"Then don't be scared of me?" He said with a shrug of his shoulders, she had no real reason to fear him, he wasn't going to hurt her, or threaten her, there was no need for it. "Are you alright? Is someone hurting you? Chasing you?" Now his more protective side was starting to seep through.

"AH!" Her body tensed up as if to brace itself for the darkness to come over her. But after a few moments of nothing but silence.. then his muttering interrupted that. Blinking.. she looked up again and she finally -saw- him. The him that she could see. He was tangable..
The fear inside her... and then him. He asked questions that she couldn't answer and instead. She just.. Cried. From such a happy and innocent moment, all she could do was cry.. Lowering herself down and coiling up. "I'm sorry! I won't come here again I promise! Just the bad thing.. is always around and Im scared!" Finally she said it. Finally. To someone.
"I can't run away.. I found myself here. I'm sorry.."

Oh what in the sweet levels of hell just happened Aiden thought to himself as she burst into tears, like many males he didn't know how to handle a female in tears.
He instantly rushed close to her, lightly nosing her shoulder. "Ssssh now, its okay..Please don't cry.." His tail coiled around her in a comforting manner. "I'm sorry..I didn't mean to make you cry...Please, please don't cry." Oh how his mother would have skinned him if she ever found out he had made a female cry..oiy and his father would not be too pleased either.
But at her words, his ears flicked back. "No no, you can be here...your safe here. The bad thing wont get you here.." He said softly, his eyes narrowed as he fought the feeling of his shackles rising. No one, no thing would hurt an innocent on his lands, oh no that was not acceptable at all.
"You are safe here, I give you my word that nothing here will hurt you. Not while I'm around..But please stop crying..I'm useless against tears."

Isra's paw instantly came up and when he came close to nose her. For some reason... it didn't scare her. When he nosed her and coiled his tail around her... she felt. Safe. Slowly she looked up at him, and tried to gather herself together. "At home.. it feels like the dark thing can come at anytime. Take me away. This was the first time I tried to out run it.. Even if mommy and daddy are there... Im scared. My siblings try to cope with it and I just couldn't anymore!" Finally. Finally... she was blurting it out Because for so long she had to live like nothing was the matter. Smiling. Laughing but it felt like she was suffocating.
The happy Ulaya everyone came to love on.
Was just a facade... To how scared she really was. "...?" Sniffling. "I shouldn't.. have ran away.. if the dark thing comes... it can get you too!" Her face was abnormally close to his, but her concern was more than her embarrassment. "About if it eats you up!" It was as if he was speaking to a child afraid of the dark. Which, he was. Her naive and innocent nature was because of how sheltered her home was. Fear... was just under the skin of their fake smiles.

Being this close to her, he could see the rich golden hue of her eyes, he stared for a moment as if he had been spooked for a second, before he chuckled and smiled softly. "Nothing is going to take you away." He said with a nod.
"You don't have to be scared here..I could show you." He offered, he could show her the beauty of his lands, how safe she was here...with him.
At her words of him being got by the dark thing made him chuckle, and he shook his head. "No, I am the king here..nothing gets me, I get it instead." He said with a strong nod of his head. He shook his head once more, "Nothing is going to eat me up, and nothing is going to eat you up while your here. I promise." He used a claw to cross his head, "I Aiden, cross my heart that while you are here, nothing shall gobble you up." He said with a soft smile, but a n** in the back of his mind whispered that he might, he could gobble her up and keep her safe and to himself, with a flicker of his ears he shoved any thoughts like that away. He was just doing what his parents had taught him to do, and protect those in need, and she needed his protection.

Her eyes went bright, and tears loosely fell and finally stopped. Sniffling still. "That.. I'm sorry! No.. I would be a bothersome! My family said we shouldn't be worrysome over others. Its a burden.. This burden." It was cute. Like a child learning to be on their own.
When he got big and bold, her eyes met his.. and gazed upon him with admiration.. and.. the darkness.. was escaping her mind. Seeing him.. Like this softly made her giggle. Rubbing her paw against her face.
"Ok.." A smile inched on the creases of her maw. "Show me?"

"Trust me, your no burden to me..Its been a bit lonely and boring about here lately. You'd be doing me a favor, truly." He said with a kind smile, yes he was just doing what his parents had taught him.
He met her smile with a smile of his own, he shifted away from her and offered her a light bow of his head. "Yes, let me show you my home." He gestured for her to step ahead of him as he watched her, a brief glance into the shadows that laid behind her, she would be safe here with him, he would check out his lands further at another time.

She rose her paw. Her ears down as she slowly got up to meet him. Rubbing her face again before getting the notion to move on. Then she realzied, she turned around and bowed her head, almost all the way to the ground. "My name is Isra.. I'm from the eastern region.. By the way and.. I'm sorry. For being rude." She was brought up better, and although her life was sheltered and the fear was there.
Being away from home.. That smile he gave her... her cheeks burned red as she turmed around and cautiously started walked to where he had notioned to..
