Darkness blurred his vision now, even more so than the darkness of the room. Sometimes the screams were loud, sometimes dulled. He was slipping in and out of consciousness, his fever worse than before. Wolframite had tried to help him, but only made things worse. It wasn’t his fault. How was Wolframite supposed to know the effect energy orbs had on knights and senshi? The pain of it still burned cold inside him, and he shivered from the chill and sweat that rolled down his face and coated his body, sticking his tunic to him.
Still chained to the ground, there was nothing he could do besides lay there in his own blood and sweat to rot. He still received visitors. Many tried to relieve him of his pain, but just as many others kicked and mocked him as he waited for death.
He didn’t even know if Ganymede was still alive. She had grown silent, or at least he could no longer hear her screams. Something inside told him he would know if she was gone, but with no proof, there was no way he could know for sure.

He had gotten a small first aid kit, a small box, which he had put a few small supplies in. He was worried for those they held captive, he knew some would be kind to them while others would be cruel and abusive, more than need be. They would take pleasure and glee in harming the captives, in his opinion those were the lowly members who were weak and knew in a fair fight they didn't stand a chance. He was confident enough in himself and his power, his strength, that he needn't' resort to such things but that wasn't what kept him from such behavior.
Pulling the cover aside from the knight of Jupiter's secluded cell he made his approach slowly, the little first aid kit hidden at his side, and dropped down. He had that same flashlight with him as well, so it was a task holding it and opening the entrance to the others holdings. Kneeling close to the knight he leaned in and wrinkled his nose, the smell hitting him hard. "I brought some water and other things, as I said I would." There was a small bottle of water in the kit as well, which he would swap out for a new one before he saw anyone else. "I also bring you something else." he whispered and setting the flashlight down he reached into the folds of his uniform and pulled out the brooch the senshi of lust had given him. "I was told to give this to you...and a message of I love you, from the one I gave the pocket watch to." He spoke in a whisper while holding out the small golden brooch.
"You should allow me to hide this on your person and then have some water. You look very unwell." Though not as bad as Acrucis, he needed to make sure she survived this - this was no good for her.

Valhalla groaned and tried pushing himself up when Benitoite came into the room, but had lost the strength. He knew he should feel relieved that someone was there to help him. Someone was there to try and keep him alive a little longer.
But he was starting to wonder what the point was.
He watched as the General pulled out Ganymede’s brooch to show him and relay words of love to him, but the only way he could respond was to look away, for it hurt too much. She was still alive, but by how much? The eagle was proof she had not succumed, but what were they doing to her?
“Why even bother?” he choked out, his face skewing from emotion he could not hold back, his brows furrowing and his jaw tightening as he squeezed his eyes shut. His heart hurt knowing he couldn’t be with her, couldn’t comfort her. “Why would you show me? Why bother bringing any hope to me?” he asked. “Help Ganymede… help Acrucis,” he suggested, angry that he was no longer capable of sitting up on his own, much less do anything.
“Amphitrite, Pisces, Korlandria, Skadi,” he listed out the name he’d collected from the various officers who had shared with him who they knew was there in exchange for information he would have given them regardless. “Penthesilea, Kairatos, Helicon, Hvergelmir, Celsus, Mintaka… Pick any of those!”
It was misdirected rage and he knew it, but he also knew he was dying without ever getting the chance to see Ganymede again. As much as he appreciated the thought, the brooch did nothing to make him feel better.

"Because if we do not try and survive, if you do not, what will she have when she survives and you do not? People need each other to survive...to lose a loved on takes a part of ourselves. She needs you I am sure of this." He stated while he reached forward to tuck the brooch away somewhere on his person. "You will personally return this to her. Help I am sure will come and you will survive." He stressed the last three words. "As will she." Again, stressing the words. "If you are going to give in, after all of this, when she will not - than you are truly weak and I am ashamed of my future self going to you for help...risking his life by working with you." He stated shaking his head and even as he spoke he was pulling out the little kit and out came the small water bottle, no twist off cap but a sports bottle type top.
"Hope will get you through this, as will it bring them through this." He spoke while pressing the tip of the bottle to the others mouth, after popping it up. "Drink, you need it. Acrucis is being helped, she needs it, and I will see to Ganymede after you."
"Drink and I'll see what I can do for you to keep you alive. I won't have you dying." Biting down on his bottom lip he shoved his thoughts, his worries and concerns, to the back of his mind. "After Ganymede....then I will try and see the others." He stated.

He knew Benitoite was trying to help in his own way. He drank when the water bottle was pressed to his mouth after a few moments of hesitation, fighting the tears threatening to start welling in his eyes. He wanted to survive. He really did. But after everything they’d been through…
“Hope can also be cruel…” he said softly lowering his head and squeezing his eyes shut once he’d taken his share of the water. No matter what Benitoite or any of them wanted, it wasn’t up to them. If Benitoite had any say in what happened to them, he would have gotten Acrucis out by now. All they could do was sit and wait for their fates to be realized.Sleet Tempest Snape Sorry this took so long!!

"Indeed, hope can be. Many things can be cruel...and yet wonderful on the outside." A snort of laughter passed from the teen before the bottle was capped. "All I can do is hope to influence how things turn out for you and some of the others here." If he could help, even in small ways, it could better their odds and keep them alive.
"And while indeed it may be cruel it is worse to remain in this situation with a negative attitude. People I've heard can will themselves dead - mind over matter. Death by broken heart and others who just give into things that they could have survived." So if he could keep up his hope, even a little bit, he felt it would help the knights chances a little bit.
"Do not give in - fight. I will help as I can." A silent helping hand to help lift someone up, someone who was fallen at the moment. He had the strength to lend and thus he would.(It's ok. ^__^ Still love this rp.)

Valhalla didn’t know how to feel about the fact that Benitoite could still laugh, regardless of if it was ironically or not. The strange attempt at encouragement made his stomach twist uncomfortably, and Valhalla kept his head down and eyes shut tightly. It was so easy for Benitoite to say such things. He wasn’t tied up like an animal, being treated more or less like one.
He talked too much… it was the only thought Valhalla could manage to get through his head to prevent himself from breaking down. If he tried to ignore some of the things he was being told and promised, maybe he would live the few days he had left with some sense of dignity. It seemed to be enough, because at least for the moment he could push his misery to the side.
Slowly he lifted his head once more, his face covered in dirt and blood and sweat, his wrists raw and bloody from where he’d struggled against his chains, and the wound festering on his side… but his expression was one of determination. “I won’t give in… but help the others. Please.”

He had hoped he wouldn't see the other break down and give in, allow outside forces to sweep him away, and he wasn't seeing that. What he saw when the other lifted his head was far from it and he smiled down at the other. Reaching out he touched the others dirty, filthy really, hair.
"Good. Never give in...it's not something a knight should do." And it would please the lower ranked officers far too much if he did. If they broke him, if he begged or pleaded, it would please them. Why give them another small victory? It wasn't what he wanted given to those who would beat on tied up, helpless, people.
"I will do what I can for others and yourself." He couldn't free them, or bring help, but he would do whatever he could to aid them in surviving. "I will be back, I'll keep you alive." Till help arrived.
