Snow have just begun to fall as the tabby colored male trots down the street with a huge trout in his muzzle while his light green eyes darts around curiously, since its his first time being out and about on his own. He's usually with his parents or siblings, playing with them and being content staying in their own area. His tail flicks back and forth as it lowers to the ground when he feels like he's being watched, his head jerked little bit when he feels the trout sliding out of his muzzle so he had to bite at it twice to tighten his hold on it.
His ears swivels around as friendly anthros calls out greetings to him and reminding him to stay warm, Hunter would have replied back but his mouth is occupied at the moment and he's very eager to get back home so he could show his parents that he managed to bring home a dinner without any troubles following him. Not paying attention to where he's going, he collides into something and suddenly leaps backward, all poofed out with the trout in between him and the object of the collision. 'Who are you?" He demanded the answer, forgetting his mannerisms.

Ma-Ku was hungry. So very, very hungry. The young calico was a long way from home, both her really home and her kidnappers home. When she had been playing on her own a human child has spotted her and decided to "save" her, thus taking her away from her family. The female was, of course, devastated. Her father would hunt a thousand cats and humans alike for her safe return and her mother, her poor mother, would stop eating from sorry. So Ma-Ku had made it her mission to escape. Today was the day, the human family had left the window open to air out the house before guests arrived. 5 minutes alone in the room and Ma-Ku was out the window, through the garden and free.
There was one small problem though. The kitten had no idea where she was! And so she wandered, her blue and gold eyes looking out for familiar places, her ears flicking at every sound. She had no idea where she was and was starting to panic. Suddenly -bash- the young kitten bumped straight into something. She looked up, her eyes wide and started as she realised she had collided with a somewhat unfriendly looking cat. She lowered herself to the ground, cowering slightly, her collar scraping off the ground as she did so. "I...I'm so sorry." she spluttered timidly, her ears back and her body low in the snow. "I...I wasn't paying attention to where I was going...I'm sorry!" Her fur was a bit of a mess, the day or so of searching had turned the white spots grey with dirt.

The carp flops down to the ground in front of the calico while the brown tabby male is all poofed out in front of her before his fur slowly settles back against his body when he realized that its just another cat like him. His heart is still thudding away like crazy inside his chest and he takes in a deep breath when he realized that he probably have scared the calico because she's spluttering and is acting all nervous, he gives her a slight reassuring smile, feeling little bit awkward for doing that to her. Exhaling heavily, Hunter gives the female a sheepish smile while his eyes darts toward the carp that is very close to the calico instead of him.
"No, no. Don't apologize. It is entirely my fault. I wasn't looking at all." Hunter quickly reassures the female after she spluttered out her apologizes and he finally notices the condition she's in, his eyes narrows little bit in concern. "I hope its not too forward of me but....what happened to you? Do you need any help?" He takes a step forward tentatively, his light eyes quickly flicks all over the calico's body for any visible wounds or anything wrong and he couldn't find anything. The calico seemed very hungry too and Hunter looks at the carp longingly before his eyes meets with hers, he gives her a smile. "Do you like fish, miss......?" He realized that they haven't introduced themselves. "Oh dang.. I am glad my mama wasn't here to see me like this. My name is Hunter and I am sorry again for scaring you.." He frowns little bit in concern at how she's acting right now and it confuses him as well.

Ma-Ku relaxed her body slightly when she realised the kitten opposite her did seem to be threatening. Normally she was a very outgoing and confident kitten, especially in her abilities to defend herself, but her recent capture and escape had spooked the young cat. Her confidence in her ability to defend herself had been shaken and she had started to see many threats in places she would have seen adventure before. Her parents had done a good job raising her to be able to find food and such but it was all in the wilderness, she wasn't sure how to find food if she couldn't fish or catch rabbits. This thought, along with being alone is a scary place she didn't know, terrified her.
The kittens deep blue and gold eyes looked up at him, the look of wide-eyed fear and panic leaving them. "I was distracted...I'm sorry I bumped into you." she said, her voice soft and her body relaxing, although she continued to crouch low to the ground. Ma-Ku was slightly shocked at the strangers question. Did she really look that bad? She had tried to keep herself groomed but her Mama normally helped her with it, even if Ma-Ku hated to admit that she had needed help at all. "Um...well a while ago...some humans took me away from my home..." the female whispered, trying not to cry. She had yet to tell anyone about it and she wanted so badly to be home. "a...a few days ago I finally escaped..." she continued, her voice wobbling slightly "but...but I don't know where I am and...my mama and papa will be so worried about me...and I just want to go home..." As she trailed off her voice wavered more, the lump in her throat making her feel like it was hard to swallow. Ma-Ku looked up cautiously and just nodded slightly when the male asked her if she liked fish. She didn't trust herself to speak again without bursting into tears. Her stomach, smelling the fish, responded for her though with a loud growl and the female blushed with embarrassment. As the kitten across from her continued to talk and introduce himself she started to feel a small bit better, at least for now she wasn't alone right? "I...I'm Ma-Ku" she said softly. "Don't worry about scaring me...it...it's been a scary few weeks..." she trailed off, looking up at him.

Hunter could see that the female is walking on the razor edge of complete break-down due to how she's have been acting and he could tell that its not how she normally acted, he's completely at the loss of what he can do to comfort her or reassure her that everything will be all right. Hunter is not a male that likes seeing a female in any kind of distress and would do everything to help her out and it is the case here. "It is ok.. Its entirely my fault. I can be inattentive goof sometimes." Hunter reassures her as he watches her closely, noticing that the panic is starting to leave her eyes and her body starts to relax. Baby steps.... He thinks to himself as he closes in the gap between them with slow but measured steps, he didn't want to startle Ma-Ku more than he already did.
When Ma-Ku starts telling him what's happening and he frowns at her in concern when he could see that she's fighting back tears, he makes himself give her a smile when all he wanted to do is cuddle with her and console her. "Well, we can find your mama and papa in no time. I can ask my family to help you out. It is a huge pain to be apart from the family.. I know how it is.. I was kidnapped too but I found my family after I escaped..." A hint of sadness could be seen in his light green eyes. "I know the feeling, Ma-Ku... Let's drag that carp somewhere safe so you can start eating then we can get you clean." He nods little bit in a question manner. "Sounds good? Then you can tell me more about your mama and papa then we can go and try to find them.. no.. wait..." He flicks his tail in air eagerly. "We WILL find them!"

Ma-Ku couldn't help but smile slightly as Hunter was speaking to her. The female could tell that the striped kitten was trying to cheer her up as best he could. It had been a few months, or maybe even longer, since she had last had contact with any other cat. She had run into a few very aggressive tom cats when she had escaped first but that didn't really count and she sprinted away from them as quickly as possible. Once she had decided that the tom opposite her was definitely a friend rather than a foe Ma-Ku had continued to relax, slowly sitting up so they were at the same level, although the male was certainly bigger than her. Her collar tinkled as she moved and she winced at the sound. She really hated the damn thing, proof of her captivity and, if a concerned human picked her up, a way for her to be returned to her solitude.
Ma-Ku used a paw to wipe a few escaped tears from her eyes and the smiled very softly. "That would be really kind of you." she said, her voice soft horse from lack of use. "I mean...if your family wouldn't mind...I normally wouldn't ask...but I don't how what else I can do." The female cocked her head to the side as he spoke. He had been kidnapped as well? And he had found his family again? Maybe there was hope after all!. "I'm glad you found your family again. I hope i can as well." She nodded eagerly when he mentioned the carp and some sort of cleanliness. The young female had not eaten since she had escaped, which was at least a two days ago by now. "Thank you so much..." she then trailed off, getting to her feet slowly and smiling. "It really means a lot to me."

Hunter tilts his head to side as she winced at the same time as the bell tinkled and he smiles dryly, knowing how that feels because he still have the collar around his neck reminding him of his period of captivation. "I know how that feels.." He says in reference to the collar as he tilts his head up to reveal his own collar with two red chain links linked together that makes light clinking noises whenever he move around. "We will find your parents.. but for now.. you can be part of our family in the duration of our search." He gives her a warm smile while brushing up against her, giving her an reassuring nuzzle because he knows that she needed physical reassurance as well.
"Ah, don't worry about my family. I have other siblings so I am sure they already brought home a good amount of fishes for all of us to eat. I would think you need this more than they do." Hunter noses Ma-Ku's shoulder. "It is no problems, Ma-Ku... I know what it is like to be lost and frightened all on your own..." He grimaces as he remember his time in stray world, fighting (sometimes literally) for survival and food. Picking the carp up by its tail, Hunter drags it over to a nearby cardboard box he spotted before he bumped into Ma-Ku and drops it inside. "You can go ahead and start eating. I will stand watch until you are done." He says as his light eyes is already darting all over the place because there are many cruel tomcats that will beat up a young kitten and steal their food. His eyes glances toward Ma-Ku and there is warmth in them. "Go on, dear. You are safe with me."

Ma-Ku watched Hunter with curiosity as he raised his head to show her his collar. She was rather shocked. The female didn't realise that she would have to continue to wear it even after she was free. She didn't think she couldn't handle it. The tinkling was almost like a drill going through her head whenever it rang. It also prevented her from hunting and catching prey. Ma-Ku was pretty positive it was one of the reasons she was having such a hard time in the wild away from her parents. The damn tinkling! "You...you still have yours on? Don't you want it gone?" she asked him tentatively, worried that the question might be slightly offensive to the male.
Ma-Ku couldn't help but be slightly blown away by Hunters kindness. To not only share his food with her but to also be willing to allow her into his family until they could find her family again? That was beyond what the female could ever expect from someone's kindness. "That would be really, really nice. Thank you Hunter." she said softly, a small purr rising in her throat as the male nuzzled her. It had been so long since she had any kind physical interaction from any other cat.
"How many siblings do you have?" Ma-Ku asked him, her curiosity getting the better of her. She wanted to know more about his family, especially if she was going to be staying with them for the time being. Normally the female would be far to polite to just start eating someone elses food while they stood watch, especially someone who was almost a complete stranger. But Ma-Ku hadn't eaten in days and her own survival instinct was screaming at her to just eat. She nodded and thanked him once again before wolfing into the fish. It was the best thing she had ever tasted. So many days without food had certainly given the fish a heavenly flavour and Ma-Ku ate quickly, her body language overflowing with gratitude for the new friend she had made.

"Sometimes I forget I have it on, you know? But lately, it is getting little bit too tight." Hunter says as he tucks the chain links inside his collar so it will stop making noises whenever he moves his head around. "One of those days, I would love to take this collar off. And I imagine you would love to do the same, eh?" He says with a smile, looking at her collar. "Your collar is a pretty one too. Are you going to save it after you take it off? I am planning on saving mine. Call me sentimental." He chuckles while shaking his head little bit in amusement because he already have a small hoard of things that he considered sentimental value to him in his home near his parents' territory.
With a grin, Hunter nuzzles Ma-Ku once again as he settles down in front of the female with his tail thumping back and forth on the ground. "It is my pleasure and I know my family would definitely like you." He pauses as his new friend inquires about his siblings and he tilts his head to side with a laughing gleam in his eyes. "I have four brothers. They all are handful but they all are really awesome..." He lowers his voice almost like he's telling Ma-Ku a secret. "Don't tell them I say that or I would have to deny it." He says with a wink and a grin while stretching his body out. "My family is an interesting bunch of weirdos." He laughs and looks at Ma-Ku while she is chowing down on the fish. "They are that kind of group where you gotta to see it for yourself so you could understand why I am saying that." He shrugs while his eyes moves around when he hears something moving nearby but it was just a harmless squirrel.
"Delicious?" He glances over his shoulder at Ma-Ku as he turns around to face her because nothing else is really happening and this area is relatively safe. Stretching his neck out, Hunter shifts his head around because the collar is kinda biting into his neck and it is starting to bother him more now. With a little sigh to himself, Hunter sits on his hunches and looks at Ma-Ku with a grin on his face. "What about you, do you have siblings?"

Ma-Ku nodded, the collar jingling again as she did so. She was surprised that Hunter could forget about his collar but the calico guessed that he had probably had his for much longer. “Have you tried to get it off before?” she asked, between mouthfuls of fish. “Maybe we should try and get it off later? We can try and get each other’s collars off. I don’t think I can stand my one anymore.” she added with a sigh. She couldn’t survive on her own or even with a family with this damn bell making noise every time she moved. The calico made a face when he asked if she was going to keep hers. “Oh gosh no! It will just remind me of the horrible people who took me away from my home…but I guess it would also remind me of your kindness…” she trailed off softly, thinking before going back to the fish, slightly embarrassed.
While eating his fish Ma-Ku listened with interest as the tom beside her spoke about his family. It made her very happy to meet a kitten who liked their own family as much as Ma-Ku loved hers. A lot of other cats she had met didn’t like their family all that much, which the female simply couldn’t understand. Family was one of the most important things in her life and she couldn’t imagine life without them, even if they annoyed her sometimes. “Do you really think they’ll like me? They won’t be annoyed at me coming in and taking up food and space?” she asked quietly, knowing that it was hard for cats to live in the wild sometimes and often an extra mouth to feed was asking a lot. “Wow four brothers? Really?” Ma-Ku exclaimed before giggling. “I promise not to tell them you said something good about them.” she said with a smile. “I’m looking forward to meeting them. They sound like a lot of fun.”
Ma-Ku nodded, slowing down as her belly started to fill with delicious fish. “Yes, thank you.” She looked at her striped friend and smiled. “I have two brothers, which is more than enough for me! One of my brothers is real handful. We often get in a lot of trouble when we play because he dares me to do stuff and I don’t want him to win!” she said it a grin. “My other brother is a bit quieter than us though and often doesn’t join us when we’re playing dare. He’s really good at dancing though. They’re all really good except for me. My mama gives me dance lessons but I just fall over my own feet!” She laughed as she spoke, the company of Hunter lightening her mood.

"Hmmm..." Hunter ponders on Ma-Ku's question about trying to take it off before along with a suggestion that they take their collars off at the same time before a huge grin appears on his face. "Actually.. I have tried several times but for some reason, the collar won the battle each time." He shrugs while looking around when he swears he heard faint footsteps but didn't see anything. "That would be amazing because this collar is getting somewhat tight right now and its getting little bit harder to breathe." He rolls his head around and the chain links falls out, clinking lightly against his neck and he sighs little bit to himself. When Ma-Ku's voice reaches his ear, Hunter couldn't help but to grin at last part of her sentence and he watches her curiously. "Sometimes its always good idea to keep things that reminds you of bad things because it reminds you of good things you have right now like your family you will find along with other things."
With a shrug, Hunter looks at Ma-Ku when she voiced her concerns about his family and he smiles at her reassuringly, "As long as you pull your weight around by bringing in food or that kind of thing, I am sure my parents and brothers will have no problems with you. I personally think my mum would love you and the boys in the family would too." He gives her a playful wink as he stretches his body out, settling down since he knows that others won't be coming around here until later on when the sun sets. His ears perks forward attentively as Ma-Ku started to open up about her family and he laughs when she mentioned about her brothers and mother. "Your mum dances?" He says with a grin as he eyes her paws. "Awww.. I am sure you can dance too! Maybe when we grow more, we can practice dancing together!.... that's if you want to." He hastily adds that part so Ma-Ku won't feel like he's pressuring her into doing some dancing with him."
"What about your pa? What is he like?" Hunter inquires as he could tell that talking about her family helps her stop thinking about her current predicament she's in right now. His tail curls up against his hunches as he watches Ma-Ku with a grin on his face, liking what he sees which is a girl finally becoming more comfortable and revealing who she truly is. While Ma-Ku is talking, he creeps forward and starts to groom her neck and shoulder area, "Keep talking. I will help with grooming". He pauses to make sure that Ma-Ku is all right with him helping her groom herself.

Ma-Ku smiled when the tom responded positively. “Well since it’s still not too tight we might be able to pull it over your head?” she thought, having a look at the collar. “I mean we can’t have you not being able to breath now can we? I’m pretty sure that’s dangerous. If I got a good grip on it and pulled it with my paws we might be able to get it over your head?” she inspected the collar with her blue/gold eyes and nodded. “I think it would work. I don’t think mine should be too hard to get off. If we found something sharp we could probably remove it. It seems to just be a thick fabric or something.” The calico placed one paw on the collar around her next softly and winced slightly as in jingled once again. Ma-Ku nodded positively at Hunters response, glad that he did not find what she said strange. “It’s important to keep things that are both good and bad.”
As Hunter spoke about his family the female nodded determinedly. “If I can get this dang thing off I’ll be able to help as much as I possibly can! I certainly don’t want to be a burden to your family.” She found it oddly comforting that even in this family she would be the only girl. At least it meant that even though she would still have to be polite, obviously, she would not have to act super lady like and like something she was not. “I hope they all like me. I’m sure I’ll like all of them.” she then added. “My mum dances for her job. She’s a professional ballerina. She’s amazing!” Ma-Ku exclaimed, showing the obvious adoration she had for her mother. “She’s super graceful and she can spin on the top of her toe and everything. When we find her again I’ll have to get her to dance for you! I’m sure she would love to.” The calico cocked her head to the side as the tom spoke. “Practicing with you would be a lot of fun! I’m honestly not very good though. I’ll never be a ballerina like my mama. But that’s okay because I have plenty of other talents as well.” she finished.
“My papa is a brilliant fighter. He trains in martial arts and is really strong and keeps us all safe.” Ma-Ku responded brightly. “Before I was capture he was teaching me to defend myself but I hadn’t learned enough to not get captured. “He’s also really kind and catches lots of yummy food for us and can even cook!” The female was a small bit startled when Hunter started to groom her. She had never been groomed by anyone other than her family. However she did not protest or complain and started to purr with appreciation as he did so.

"It is pretty snug but I would think if I dipped my head in water and the collar might come off. Do you think its a good idea?" Hunter inquires the female while he extends his neck out so Ma-Ku could have a good look at his collar before he cranes his head to peek at hers. "Why don't we do yours first? ladies first, after all." He says with a grin while he takes a care not to jostle that bell on Ma-Ku's collar when he feels around it. "Feels like.. leather?" He frowns little bit knowing that its not smart to get leather wet while he looks at her collar more closely.
When the female spoke about how she will help as much as she could, Hunter couldn't help but to chuckle because he knows that she will definitely be doted on and pampered because she's the lone female beside his mother. "I am very sure they all will like you, dear." He leans back so she could see his grin instead of hearing it in his voice. "I hope you like gears and steampunk things because that's what my family is into.. along with art as well." He says with a laugh while testing the collar around Ma-Ku's neck. "Hm..." He says to himself before he grins when he listens to her chatter on excitedly about her parents. "Professional ballerina eh? Do she have her own studio? I am sure you can dance too, you silly girl. You are probably downplaying your graceful prowess!" He teases her because he likes to see her smile and laugh because it is better than seeing her cowering or being afraid of things. "Her dancing with me? You won't get jealous about that, would you?" Hunter smirks playfully while he cocks his head to side. "What kind of talents do you have?"
"Dancing and martial arts eh? Sounds like something you could combine together and you can have fun while defending yourself! I think that is a really interesting concept." Hunter muses as his ears swivels around happily at Ma-Ku's eager voice, telling him about her father. "All right.. about that collar of yours." He moves from one side to other to groom her more. "I think we can get it off without any problems. Do you want to try it now or wait until you are completely clean then we can attempt it?" He looks at her curiously.

Ma-Ku raised her paws, checking for the amount of space between her companions neck and collar. "I think...yeah I think if you put your head in water first and I pulled it off it would probably work." the calico said confidently, before extending her neck so Hunter could get a good look at her own collar. "Do you think mine will be easier to get off? Yeah it feels to me like it's some kind of leather. I remember hearing the humans talking about it. They said it was really expensive...so I guess leather rather than fabric would make sense?"
"I really hope they like me anyway. At least I'm used to males right?" Ma-Ku replied, echoing his grin with her own. She was doted on a lot in her family for being the 'little princess' although the calico considered herself to be much more of a tomboy. "Wow art really? Do you paint Hunter?" the female asked enthusiastically. She always loved to learn the new talents that people had. "And gears and steampunk? Do you make stuff? Like machines?" Ma-Ku had never met a family of cats that made anything before. It peeked her interests and she found the whole thing wonderful and curious. The calicos blue/gold eyes watched Hunter as he inspected her collar. "Yeah she has her own studio in the university. She teaches her classes in her own studio but also sometimes in a big hall because she has so many students." Ma-Ku smiled at his response. "I would be careful saying that. If we ever dance together I might step on your foot! Then you'd see my 'graceful prowess'!" The female thought for a second at the toms question before responding. "Um...I can play the flute pretty well...and I can go some martial arts...and I'm pretty good at hunting rats as well! What about you Hunter? What are your talents?"
"Yeah papa was telling me that there's a dancy form of martial arts that comes from...um...I think it was brazil. I'd love to find a cat to teach me some time!" Ma-Ku's eyes brightened at the prospect of having her collar removed. "If it's not that hard to do let's get it done now! I think I would have an easier time cleaning myself as well with it gone." she said with a nod. Usually Ma-Ku was a rather clean kitten and although being dirty bothered her the collar annoyed her a lot more.

Hunter grunts as Ma-Ku found no space in between his collar and his neck because it is really tight and it is slowly starting to cut his air out, he takes in a deep breath while giving Ma-Ku a sad look. "I think I saw a bowl of water nearby.. do you want to go over there and give it a try? I remember seeing my humans pulling at the end thingys on my collar (ribbon tails) so maybe you can try pulling it and the stuff on back of my neck will loosen up and fall off?" He shifts his fur around to rearrange it because it is starting to feel like its ruffled. "Looked like your humans loved you if they spent a lot of those money on your collar." Hunter says with a smile as he lightly rakes Ma-Ku's collar with his sharp claw, noticing that it didn't leave any mark. "Yeah.. we need something sharp to cut it off." He eyes it intently before giving Ma-Ku a confident grin. "We will get them off today!"
"Do I paint? I guess so. I can draw and paint but I don't think I am that great, you know? Not like my brother Demi. He really really loves painting and will probably always be found with a paintbrush or paint splatter on him. I am that kind of guy that tries things that my family members like.. so I guess you can say that I kinda do paint." Hunter says with a little shrug before his eyes widens at her next question and he chuckles in amusement. "Small stuff, yeah! We haven't built up to big machines yet but I don't doubt that we will definitely be trying to build big machines." He says with a laugh as he pads over to a broken sharp knife that is laying near the dumpster nearby, pawing at it curiously before he deemed it sharp enough. "So your mum is famous? like.. really really famous?" He looks over at her with a grin and he quirks his eyebrow at her playfully. "Mmm.... sounds like you are a well-rounded lady." He commented after hearing things that she could do.
"My talents? Oh...." Hunter blinks as he squints his eyes little bit while pawing at the sharp knife. "I would have to say hunting.. I love the thrill and adrenaline that goes with it along with the suspense. Um... I want to take up archery because that looks very interesting. I can paint, build basic machines.. um..." He wiggles his nose as he thinks about things he's good at. "I think that's all I am good at." He laughs. "Oh! beside making pretty ladies like you smile and forget whatever problems you have." He says with a wink. "We definitely should learn dancy form of martial arts because that sounds really amazing! I always wanted to learn martial arts so it looks like you have something to do when I take you back to my family" He says excitedly as he motions the female over. "Do you think this knife will work on your collar?" He peers down at the knife again.
