The arena was stirring with excitement after the first clash of the evening. The legendary Jay Lightning had met with one of the brightest rookies to date, Andrew Styles. The Hardcore title had truly been subject to a great mention in the history of tonight's Royal Rumble. After the ring had been cleaned and the previous notions of a brutal bout had been removed, the lights around the arena began to shutter and grow dim. It seemed Chicago had forgotten to pay the electric bill on their arena. After sparing moments of the lights attempting to remain on... they finally gave out, descending the arena into the abyss.

While some fans thought it seemed like a malfunction of the arena's lighting system, others were convinced that Talia Rose was pulling out all the stops to make her entrance as flashy as possible, as it was the following match. All ideas of such were put to rest as the familiar piano notes from Bragging Rights began to play once again. Enchanting notes began to soothe the fans once more, luring in their attention. Would they finally have answers on what the closing video of Bragging Rights meant?

The titantron hummed back to life to reveal an aerial shot of the beautiful city of Chicago, Illinois. The buildings and streets were clearly illuminated by the bright lights that made the city buzz with life, even with the Royal Rumble now taking place. As the drumbeat began to follow the piano, the aerial shot zoomed in on the arena that was hosting tonight's big event. After it zoomed in close enough, the shot changed to show the backstage entrance, reserved for the competitors of the evening. Bad Boy could be seen standing outside the doors, clearly getting a breath of fresh air to prepare for his match. Tonight was a big step for his career; once again, he would challenge for the WWF:G Legacy Championship. The crowning achievement of the company. Tonight, he would seek to fulfill his destiny. Would he succeed, or would he crash and burn?

Only time could tell...

The violins cut in, but not without welcome as the shot moved on to show the interior of the building. Standing by the curtain was the upcoming challenger, Talia Rose. She looked tense, but confident. Her gaze was stuck on the curtain, waiting for her cue to head to the ring. Tonight, she sought to put an end to her sister's reign as Femme Fatale champion. By the look on her face, she was certain she would succeed. After all, she was the more seasoned fighter of the two. This was surely in the bag for her.

Wasn't it?

The shot changed again as the violins faded away, this time showing a black screen. Suddenly, spotlights above in the rafters lit up; as they did, the screen lit up as well. The shot was now in the interior of the arena. High up in the rafters, banners hung of the previous Royal Rumble winners with their images and names, letting the competitors of the main event know what they had to live up to. In a semi-circle, spaced out enough to cover half the arena, they read...

The images got a roar from the fans across the arena. Each winner sparked a positive reaction in someone, especially the legendary icons like Christina Parks and Jed, along with the one of the current champion, Cyrus Everblaze. It was a look into the past for all, and a goal for everyone else tonight. To get a banner with these legends... now that was an achievement to be proud of.

As the violins began to pick up once more, the shot faded away to reveal the outside of the arena once again. The shot proved to be overhead this time, as if taken from a building scaling over it. The camera slowly panned backwards, once again pulling a figure into the shot. Much like last time, it stood with the left boot propped up on the ledge, giving them a better view of the site below. The shot continued to zoom out until the figure was fully in the shot, and the music had faded away...

The only sound to enter the arena was that of a faint breeze. It was just loud enough to makes its presence known, like a ghost whispering in the ear of every fan in the arena. The figure tilted its head back, letting the wind caress its face. The camera began to tilt backwards with the man, shifting its view to the sky...

Even against the night sky, the clouds could be seen swirling and growing thick...

Right over the arena...

I apologize for the lack of images for some of the winners. Tekteks were not available, at least not that I could find... sweatdrop
