"I'm telling you, the senator is involved!" Cormac slammed his hand on the table in anger but the man across the table gave no reaction. Cormac appeared old for his actual age and his naturally white hair didn't help. The man across the table looked considerably younger. He had shaggy brown hair and a beard with an expressionless face. "Your proof is not substantial enough. No court would trust your word over the Senator's and if you put it on line you would be cast aside as a conspiracy theorist. I came across the galaxy to help you and the best you have is that you saw him in an alley talking with a hooded man. That is not proof that is speculation." The younger looking man stood up and Cormac did as well. "He's going to come after me now! He tortured my contact and that man was not loyal enough to keep my secrets!" "That is your mistake, not my responsibility. " The younger looking man responded as he stood up. "Please I beg you do something! He is the senator and in the Syndicate's pocket, innocent people will suffer! If not for me, help them!" Cormac pleaded as the younger man pushed his chair in. "I'll look into it. That is all I will promise." With that the younger looking man turned and walked away. Cormac didn't ask anything else of him before beginning to walk towards his train. Not far behind him, a man wearing what seemed like light body armor and a helmet stood and began moving towards the target.

D E A D L O C Kx B O U N T YxxH U N T E R xfor thex S Y N D I C A T E After readying what he’d need, the bounty hunter selected a building, set his rifle down, and aimed it towards the train station. Since the building was conveniently among the many buildings where one could take advantage of the exposed half of the station, all he needed to do was wait and search. After a few minutes, the center dot was aligned right with the man he was looking for. He’d have to deal with more people than he wanted if he had him there, so it’d need to only to compel him to enter the train. He aimed for the let and fired one directly into the right knee. At least now he couldn’t run away. It looked like it hurt, but he was just another paycheck; he didn’t really care for the target’s comfort. He continued to observe with the scope in order to plan his next move.

Lockdown
Lockdown had been only a few feet behind Cormac when the bullet tore through the targets right kneecap. Cormac immediately did the least advisable thing and let out a cry of pain that bordered on a screech. When he did the bounty hunter behind him let out a quiet curse and looked up towards the exposed sky. He scanned the nearby buildings but his sight wasn't exactly perfect, even with his helmet's visor to enhance it. One of the buildings, a sniper. He can't shoot if Cormac is in a train though he'll have to move in and then he looses the advantage of distance. Knowing that Cormac wouldn't exactly be compliant, Lockdown moved to the crippled man who had fallen onto he knees, probably not helping he pain all things considered. The suldari grabbed Cormac by the back of the shirt and pulled him up to his feet. By now people had begun to panic and run around in various directions which provided adequate cover for Lockdown as he dragged Cormac into the train. "Sorry about this but I need you alive and would rather not have you moving around." Lockdown explained before drawing one of the two batons he had holstered on his back and cracking it across Cormac's head. Cormac hit the ground hard and Lockdown was less than ceremonious as he slid Cormac's body under a train seat to protect him from any luck shots the sniper could pull off. Once Cormac was secured Lockdown holstered his baton and took a seat away from the windows. The train provided close quarters which gave Lockdown an advantage so he made no attempt to hide, he just waited.

He was at a good distance from the tracks and only needed to wait for the train to near. When it did, he leapt forward, steadying himself before planting an explosive, stepping back, detonating it, and jumping down from the small hole it made with guns in both hands readily aimed. “Lockdown…” he said in recognition, his voice partially electronic from the helmet. He was either the bodyguard or the poacher, but either way the contract was set.

Lockdown
Lockdown sat quietly in his seat looking at the adds on the train walls and hypothesizing which assassin was trying to kill Cormac. It had to be an assassin no one else would have been so direct. Then again, if it was an assassin, why the warning shot? If they could hit his knee they could hit his head but they chose not to. That made things interesting and opened up many other possibilities. Possibilities that became so much more clear when the explosive went off overhead and the sniper dropped down into the room with two guns aimed squarely at him.He smiled under his helmet and stood slowly "Deadlock..." His voice was less affected by his helmet that Deadlock's which honestly helped for intimidation most of the time. His voice was naturally deeper than most. "Is that really how you want to do this? Two guns in close quarters. You know they won't stop me." He wasn't lying, his body armor would protect him from the first few shots Deadlock could get off before Lockdown closed the distance between them and attacked. But it would still hurt.

D E A D L O C Kx B O U N T YxxH U N T E R xfor thex S Y N D I C A T E He smirked underneath his helmet. “Who said anything about stopping you? It’ll wake you up a little bit.” He was kind of glad most people never lived long enough to fight him up close. No, fighting close combat was not his specialty. He was better than most, but not at the level of consistent practice as Lockdown. He compensated for this via his gift, one that most weren’t aware he even had. His adaptive muscle memory, which relied heavily on observation, allowed him to mimic anything he saw, provided it was recent enough and he could recall it. In the few occasions in which he encountered others with superior close combat prowess, he simply needed to hold his own long enough before his brain could theorize strategies. It shouldn’t have been mistaken for some immediate edge, though. It was intended to match, not to exceed.

Lockdown
"I'm not sure you can afford to wake me up a little." As he spoke he ran several situations through his head. He could reach of one of his batons but deadlock would get at least one shot off. Given how the guns were aimed at the moment that shot would hit his chest. That was one of the better protected spots but the impact would cause him to flinch a little. Only a little though and he would be able to use the baton to distract Deadlock long enough for him to tackle the other bounty hunter. Then again if Deadlock sidestepped the tackle he would have more time to shoot which would make things harder. Then again if he drew one baton, took whatever shot Deadlock managed to squeeze off, and threw the baton at him, Deadlock would have to either shoot it out of the air or move away. If he didn't shoot it out of the air or dodge it, it would certainly hit him which would work out for Lockdown. It was unlikely that Deadlock would drop a gun to catch the baton but Lockdown accounted for that possibility too. The chance of Deadlock letting it hit him was also present because he would be able to survive a little blunt impact. Regardless of how Deadlock responded the baton would buy Lockdown a few seconds at the least to pull out the other baton and launch an offensive. If he could get in close the guns would become useless and it was better to eliminate them now than wait for Deadlock to open fire. So Lockdown made his move.
The suldari reach back with his left hand and pulled one of his baton from the cover on his back, fully prepared for any shot Deadlock took but it would not stop him. If Deadlock took the second needed to aim anywhere else he would not be able to get a shot off. The second the baton was in his hand Lockdown threw it at Deadlock. The baton flew strait and fast but Lockdown didn't stop there. He pulled the other baton from the holster on his back with hi right hand and darted forward, swinging downwards at the left side of Deadlock's neck, intent on hitting a pressure point that would cause him to drop his gun.

D E A D L O C Kx B O U N T YxxH U N T E R xfor thex S Y N D I C A T E “It’s a gamble.” In what time he had, he fired at the throat, the areas around it being favorable if evasion brought the bullet off the target. However, he wasn’t planning on engaging close anytime soon. Lockdown wanted to close in, and he’d deny him that for as long as he could. Whilst shooting, the boosters on his boots activated, propelling him back faster, shooting while he moved. Deadlock was hovering a foot above the ground while he flew back, his back arched so he could look forward and shoot. He’d take full advantage of any space the train allowed. His gun had ammo, and he wasn’t satisfied without it being put to use. He doubted Lockdown would give him any time to reload, so he had to make the limited shots he had count. Fortunately he was a very good shot, and though he couldn’t be entirely certain where, bullets were bound to land. When he got too close to the back, there was no real escape from close combat, so the boosters deactivated and he stood up straight, his arms up and ready to engage. “Come on, hit me.” He was expecting to get hit a few times, but it was fair payment for the bullet damage he inflicted, a lovely little gambit.

Lockdown
The boosters, that had been something Lockdown forgot to account for. A mistake he would not make again. The first shot aimed at his throat had hit his protected shoulder which had thrown off the first baton throw. The baton had hit the wall of the train and landed back in the isle that the two hunters were fighting in. The swipe had missed and when it did his arm was hit by another bullet. They continued to hit until Lockdown rolled into cover. The seats were light cover but they were enough. While Deadlock was still moving towards the back and firing Lockdown took account of where he had been hit. One in the left shoulder, one on the right arm, three on the chest, one one the right thy, and one on the left side of his abdomen. None had gone past his armor but he felt most of them. He had moved forward enough to recover both of his batons but he holstered them both. Batons require a little more distance that Lockdown wanted to fight Deadlock with and to be honest Lockdown was far better with hand to hand combat. The moment the firing stopped he turned back into the isle and charged at Deadlock. Once the distance was closed between them Lockdown went for a four step move. the first two steps were a right hand jab and then a left hook towards Deadlock's head, something to make him block. The third step was a leg sweep and it would be followed by an elbow drop aimed at Deadlock's neck if it worked.

D E A D L O C Kx B O U N T YxxH U N T E R xfor thex S Y N D I C A T E It came naturally to try and dodge the first jab, though instead of blocking the left hook, he intentionally headbutt his fist. It was a bit disorienting, yes, but he could take a hit and would happily accept one early if there was a chance to keep Lockdown’s additional hits to a minimum. His bold move allowed him to not fall off balance from the following kick, though he really felt that kick, but that elbow would be less damaging now that it didn’t go quite as planned. Nevertheless, those hits definitely landed.
He couldn’t afford to let hits rain, so he had to improvise, activating his bionic arm’s shock ability before he blocked. It didn’t necessarily mean he’d be safe from further attacks, but any blocks with that arm would sting. “That’s the spirit.” Deadlock wasn’t even attacking. He preferred to observe and analyze. It was probably for the best; he didn’t want to fall into a well-planned counter attack from Lockdown. He just needed to hold his ground a little longer.

Lockdown
He's not fighting back, he's taunting me. Lockdown skirted back slightly and drew both batons. Something was off and Lockdown recognized that. He didn't know about the adaptive muscle memory and he didn't even consider it a possibility. He drew the batons because of how Deadlock had dealt with the left hook. The headbutt hadn't hurt but it had thrown Lockdown off slightly. He hadn't been expecting it and would have preferred Deadlock headbutt a baton instead of his hand. Once again Lockdown used the first baton as a distraction. He threw the one in his left hand at Deadlock and it went through the air like a bullet but as it is Lockdown closed in to deliver a three strike attack. His first move was to take Deadlock's left arm out of play, a slight mistake given that it would shock him but he didn't know that yet and he could withstand a little shock anyways. So when the distance was closed Lockdown first attempted to push Deadlock's left arm away from his body so he could build the momentum on right side to follow up with a powerful baton strike to the right side of Dealock's abdomen, followed by an upwards strike to his left armpit, followed by a third and final strike to the right side of Deadlock's head.

D E A D L O C Kx B O U N T YxxH U N T E R xfor thex S Y N D I C A T E He was getting really sick of the batons; the first one already was annoying to dodge, this second one was no better. It wasn’t a bad throw either, but he was dealing with someone who dealt with bullets frequently, so he’d manage. Deadlock couldn’t expect to deliver an impressive offense, but evasion would come in handy. First things first, that damn baton. While Deadlock had swords, he had no time to waste trying to ready them. When the right baton swung, he quickly blocked, but he knew another baton strike was coming, and welcomed it so as to to catch it underneath his armpit, intentionally turning slightly so it would hit his arm and then slide into place with minimal damage. Just as Lockdown’s earlier moves exposed the right, he had gone on to try and expose the right as well. Lockdown would likely need to let go of the baton first, but those teensy seconds were enough. He took advantage of it to pull back his own hand and fire from his right handgun.

Lockdown
Lockdown reacted like a calculate machine when Deadlock caught the baton in his armpit. Yes, it was stuck but he had calculated this risk and had a plan to counter it. What surprised Lockdown was the sudden reentry of a pistol, but it was not enough surprise to stall him. Lockdown dropped slightly to avoid the first shot but he did not let go of his baton which would have put him at a disadvantage in theory, but in practice it did not. When he dropped to avoid the gunshot he picked up the baton he had thrown with his left hand. It told him two things, the first was that they were close to the back of the train because it had bounced off the wall and rolled so close to the two of them, and the second was that he had two weapons now. Admittedly the second revelation was pretty obvious. Regardless Lockdown reacted quickly to avoid more gunshots. The first thing he did was slam his right shoulder into Deadlock's stomach to drive the hunter's back to the train wall, then he reached over his right arm to swing at Deadlock's right wrist with the baton in his left hand and he would attempt to follow that with a back handed baton strike to the Deadlock's helmet. Not taunting me now.

D E A D L O C Kx B O U N T YxxH U N T E R xfor thex S Y N D I C A T E “Umph,” he sounded as he got knocked to the train wall. His wrist stung, but he managed to keep his hold of the handgun. He couldn’t duck to avoid that last baton swing, but he could close in, pushing forward so it would hit either his left arm, or his shoulder if he couldn’t quite bring his arm up fast enough, but his left arm had minimal feeling, so he could withstand it. His right arm ready to block, he let go of his left handgun, grabbed his right wrist with his left hand and squeezed to let that shock serve its purpose, raising the amps to where the electricity surging through was visible. He wanted close, then that’s what he’d get, including a head bash. He didn’t have the amp up before because he didn’t want it to screw with his left handgun, but now that any efforts with his left handgun was futile, it didn’t matter, hence why he let go of it. It was probably a good idea to keep distant; the shocks could induce paralysis if exposed to it for too long. If he remained close, he could expect further attacks from the left arm, but if he backed up, the right handgun would fire. “Don’t be too shocked now.”
