~Monica Sforza~ Monica decided to check out Club Gravity before going to work at the lab. When she walked in, she placed her wrap around sunglasses on her head and looked around. She went to the bar and sat down. She ordered a Shirley Temple and sighed because she had not been getting any interesting cases lately. Yes, she enjoyed being a physicist, but sometimes she needed something different. There was nothing like a good mystery. As for the club, this probably will be the first and last time she would come here. She did not care much for the lighting and for the kind of music they were playing. The flashing lights annoyed her so much that she had the urge to shot them out but resisted it. "Today is not my day." She said as she took a sip of her drink. Once she was done with it, she would leave.

 Approximately four minutes after she had settled herself into the bar, a regular of the criminal underworld would make his entrance. It was one of many clubs that had its share of crooks and questionable individuals. However, they weren’t quite as lethal as the man who’d soon enter. He was expecting a new contract set at that location in a few hours, but he’d decided to relax for the time being.
From the eastern entrance was a man of 6’ 5”, an athletic build, crimson eyes with a black sclera, and very subtle but numerous scars. His appearance was that of the warrior born, a derogatory way to refer to those whom were truly of the home planet, raised there for most youth. While there were a few of the race originally in the club, they were likely not warrior born; their mannerisms gave that away. He was clad in a black leather jacket, gray shirt with hood attached, dark jeans, and sturdy black boots. His left hand was gloved, concealing his hand—or more specifically—his bionic arm. He had a rectangular cigarette in his mouth and he maintained a relatively stern expression. While humans struggled with their lungs due to cigarettes, their race was capable of withstanding it with their lungs, healing away any damage that would otherwise be critical for humans. In other words, he gained the relief without physical consequences. It was almost as if his restless mind could feel the problems burning away.
It was unlikely for those new to the criminal underworld to recognize him, though the authorities and the criminals certainly knew who he was. Nevertheless, it only took common sense to recognize at the least that he was a bounty hunter; his demeanor and subtle scarring was evidence enough. After all, their race was very durable, so scars that were visible signified some serious experiences. While some bounty hunters generally stayed fully armed and restricted themselves to certain locations, he didn’t. It wasn’t entirely arrogance either; he knew that his employers were the most influential criminal organization in the Parallel, and that the police or surrounding criminals were neither brave enough nor stupid enough to try and pick a fight with him. He received quite a few glances as he progressed forward to the bar, many of which were intimidated or impressed glances; they knew who he was.
“Sazerac Cocktail,” he said in a husky voice. When he made his request, the bartender didn’t even bother waiting for payment; he was on payroll. As someone with an appropriate knowledge of alcoholic beverages would find, the Sazerac Cocktail was a very potent drink; his body’s metabolism was very powerful, so for him to truly feel anything at all, he needed a potent beverage. He couldn’t help but notice an unusually welcoming scent, something beyond the alcohol, and it was within his parameters. He’d eventually come to realize that the enamoring odor was at his left, or better yet, the woman at his left. “Hmm…” he sounded, not quite words, only gazing at her. He really didn’t think he had to explain why; her aura was alluring, and he wasn’t exactly disappointed at the view that came with it.

~Monica Sforza~ Monica was a curvy, petite woman but perfectly toned. Her amber eyes with a black sclera were staring out in space as she was deep in thought. She was wearing a black dress with a silver belt and black boots with a two inch heel. She had no visible scars from not getting into major fights. Each time one of her fights would get to the point it would get really ugly, she used her persuasive skills to get out of it. Yes, she could hold her own in a physical fight, but she does not see the point if there was another way out. She was snapped out of thought when she smelled cigarette smoke and looked around for the source. Her eyes fell on a Suldari male, who happened to come in and sat at the bar nearby. She looked him over and narrowed her eyes. Yeah, he was hot, and she could have fallen for him if it was not for the fact that he was a Suldari and a smoker. Yes, her powerful lungs could tolerate the second hand to a certain extent, but she really disliked the smell, and sometimes it gave her a headache. Besides, she did not really see the point in smoking in the first place. What was he trying to prove anyway? He was some big, bad Suldari, who can smoke all he wanted. Then, she noticed his drink. A micro smirk appeared on her face. Then, her eyes fell onto his face, and she noticed that he was looking her over. She had to grin, but she quickly hid it. She did not want him to think she wanted him, even if she did, which she did not. Well, at least, for now, she did not want anything to do with him. Who knows what could happen?

 He didn’t really have to look too hard to figure out she wasn’t a native of his planet. For a while he was just observant, a harmless glance, stern enough to truly bring out any unnecessary questioning, before his cocktail was brought to him. He turned forward. Prior to taking a drink, he took the cigarette from his mouth and between the fingers of his right hand. He drank it straight, no hesitation, no cringing; it was partially because of his metabolism and partially because the burn would hardly be enough to faze him.
While some would argue she had the tougher standards, that wasn’t quite true. He didn’t have to be picky on what breeds he didn’t like to assume his selection; the warrior born valued two things, blood and combat; she had the blood, partially, but the combat, no. It didn’t matter how attractive a woman was, if she couldn’t fight, he wasn’t interested. For the sake of filling the awkward silence. “You’re new here, aren’t you?” he asked, though it was surprisingly polite his tone; he never had reason to be rude at a bar beyond doing what he liked without others questioning. Regardless of him speaking, his eyes were directed forward, not at her; he’d seen plenty from gazing at her just moments before.

~Monica Sforza~ Monica was a little surprised that he started to talk to her. Maybe he saw her looking him over and thought she was a pureblood Suldari. She shook it off and replied. "Yes. I pass by here all the time on the way to work, so I thought I would check out the place. However, I doubt I will be coming back for pleasure. I don't like the lighting, the music, and the cigarette smoke." She said as she glared over at him with her peripheral. "How can you stand those disgusting things?" She asked, fighting the urge to grab it and stick it into his now empty glass. She did not usually start fights. She usually finished them, but it was tempting to show this pureblood that a half breed can fight, too. She finished her drink and left a tip for the bartender next to the glass. She looked at her watch to see what time it was. She still had time to stick around and see what else this guy will do. She wondered would they end up in a fight over a silly thing like cigarettes. It was a while since she was in a good fight, but it was with another female, not that much taller than her. This guy was over a foot taller. Eh? If she could take down her own father, she could handle this guy.

 He wondered if she’d have been less opinionated if she had the slightest idea who he was, because not even the warrior born would have had the tenacity. As for her identity as a hybrid, he did, in fact, suspect it, but wasn’t quite sure. Regardless of the fact, he couldn’t say he wasn’t amused by her honesty; it was rare he found anyone without a filter because they were too afraid to offend him. “You must be an outsider then,” he said. His voice was exceptionally calm, no condescending tone; he wasn’t joking or over exaggerating. His statement outlined a truth that she didn’t really know enough about him to judge, too uninformed. If the smell were irritating her so much, he was polite enough to set the cigarette on the table and extinguish it with one finger. He had more; that one had a decent sacrifice if it would’ve stopped her complaining. Instead he tapped the counter and gestured for the glass to be refilled. After all, the first didn’t do much if anything at all to affect him.
What lied beyond the city and hid within it was a much darker world. From her overall reactions to simple things like the lights, the music, and the odor, she truly was a newcomer, not just to the club but the underworld as a whole. It made no effect as far as her fighting skills went, but she truly was an outsider. He raised his glass just an inch from his face. “You should stay far away from this place. You’ve got a big mouth. It’ll get you killed down here.” It was perhaps one of the best tips an outsider was to learn. In fact, the patrons she saw around whom were speaking confidently were only pulling a façade. If it wasn’t a façade, odds were that they were people of connections. If they didn’t have connections, they’d monitor themselves, because they wised up enough to realize that there could’ve easily been some very dangerous people around. Anyone with enough street smarts in the underworld would’ve known who he was, as well as recognizing a few people around as well. In fact, when he entered, he already recognized that two were cops whom were on payroll; to the common eyes, the lawmen blended right in with criminals, because that was their true colors.

~Monica Sforza~ "Obviously," Monica replied as she noticed that he put out his cigarette. Well, at least, he was polite. Most smokers she met were hateful morons. However, most of them were human. Anyway, she found this Suldari male intriguing. Yes, she knew she was an outsider in this place. She could feel the dark aura when she walked in, but she was already there. Thus, she figured she would get a drink and go. However, this guy walked in and sparked her interest. He spoke again and warned her to stay way from this place because she had a big mouth. She raised a brow and scuffed at the thought of being a big mouth. She must have stumbled on one of the underworld's hangouts. She never really had to deal with the underworld because her cases mostly consisted of finding things or people. There were also the occasional getting a cat out of the tree case. "There is one more reason not to come back." She said with a micro smirk. Someone came up to Monica with a big grin on his face. "Long time no see, Sweetie. Did you miss me?" A male voice said. She looked up at him and narrowed her eyes. "Shouldn't you be in jail?" She asked as she stood up. "Got let out for good behavior. Now, we can pick up where we left off." He said with a smirk. Without any warning, she kicked him in the groin and punched him across the face, which made him fall to the ground.

He seemed unfazed by the sudden occurrence of the approaching male. It didn’t startle him; he had his share of sitting idle while some drunken fool impaled a man. It was death, common for him. However, he couldn’t help but smirk at the sounds of pain the man gave after she’d kicked him to the ground. He mentally admitted to himself that he’d found her much more attractive knowing how aggressive she was, and thoroughly enjoyed his drink with the satisfaction of the symphonic agony behind him. “I think you made him uncomfortable…” he joked, setting his glass back down and shaking it slightly to gesture a third.

~Monica Sforza~ "Yes, I have." Monica said with a grin as she kicked him to his back and placed her foot on his chest. "What the heck, Monica? What happened to the nice little girl I used to know?" He said while he winced in pain. "She grew up." She said as she twisted her heel. "You betrayed my trust.""We were silly little kids in elementary school..." He said, but she cut him off. "Don't give me any excuses, John. No one treats a love interest in the way you treated me, no matter what race they are. Now, you are going to listen to me and listen to me good. You better leave me alone, and if you even look at me in a way that I don't like, I will make you regret it. Do you understand?""Yes." He replied as she took her foot off of him. He got up and a grin grew on his face. He quickly kissed her on the lips and moved back. She looked at him with rage she rarely feels and smacked him across the face as hard as she could. He placed his hand on his cheek and smirk. "I will respect your wishes, but I just wanted one last kiss." He said as he left.

 He didn’t understand why all the Earthlings always wanted kisses so damned much. How he was raised, the idea seemed so foreign, even if he hadn’t abstained from the norm before; he had similar opinions to Earthly names. For those around who were curious, such as the bartender whom was waiting for him to ask her, he wouldn’t. It wasn’t his business what went on between her—apparently named Monica—and the stranger—apparently named John—so he didn’t ask. How appropriate that the two gave such a show; the woman clearly had some things to deal with on her own time.
He received his refill, and by then a human would’ve been dazed; he wasn’t. Using his left hand to pull the sleeve up on his right wrist, he viewed the time. While she’d mentioned her purpose was briefly staying for a drink, she still didn’t have a clue on what he was doing there. In mere minutes, he’d discovered her name, implications about her life, and met someone from her past. He was relatively comfortable that she knew so little. As far as she knew, he was a mysterious man at a bar, amusingly the only one to recognize him so when everyone else around seemed to know precisely who he was. He made no comment about the woman; he had a reason to be there and she did too. For the time being, he finished his third drink and took a deep breath, patiently waiting for something.

~Monica Sforza~ "That jerk is going to get himself killed one of these days, and I am not going to be there when it happens." Monica said as she looked at her watch. "I better get going." She said as she pulled out an extra tip. "I apologize for what happened." She said as she looked at the bartender and gave him the money. "The guy has the foolish notion that bullying is the equivalent to flirting, and if you ask me, the only woman he is going to get is someone high on something or mentally ill." She said with a sigh, and then, she began to walk out the door. She put her sunglasses back on her eyes and went outside.

For the following minutes, he casually finished his drink. When the bartender—a human male named Jonah—felt he’d something to try and get on his good side, he began to talk to the bounty hunter. It wouldn’t have hurt to try and be his friend; there were benefits to being friends with someone who was feared. “Well she sure ain’t the usual dame, eh?” asked Jonah.
“Nope,” replied the bounty hunter, turning around on the stool to carefully watch for anyone new to enter. He was waiting for the agent who’d be presenting him with the mission details. It was done in person to ensure that the contract was made without any indirect complications. He didn’t care to listen to the bartender any longer once the agent actually arrived. Instead he stood up and followed the agent to a private room of the club where they’d discuss the contract. He was offered and accepted the credits after being informed of his target. His newest hunt was about to begin.

~~~~~~~~($)~~~~~~~~ Lark Remia ~~~~~~~~($)~~~~~~~~ Stepping past the doorway a woman entered the club as someone else left, her slender hand grasping the door politely.. even as her dark mahogany gaze swept the building's interior curiously. Not here yet..? Her dark lashes lowered, forming twin crescents upon her pale cheeks as a vague smile curved her painted lips.. The sharp click of her stilettos lost under the club's music as the female navigated her way to the bar. As smoothly as she seemed to meld into the crowd there was a subtle difference between she and them.. her confident stride never wavered, an oddly regal tilt lifting her chin and straightening her narrow shoulders as a wild mass of silken ebony hair framed her cheeks and cascaded down her back in rebellious waves. Those in her path moved just far enough aside to let her pass untouched, the individuals hardly seeming to notice their own actions.. or the woman that passed by so calmly. Reaching the bar she selected a slightly-turned seat, clearly one that had recently been vacated, and perched herself neatly on the stool.. crossing her legs at the knee and leaning her elbow on the bar top as she turned her rich brown gaze towards the liquor shelf behind the counter. The noise, the people, the lights, the smells.. Few would realize how dull this atmosphere was to the female. Her expression remained passive, patient even as she lowered her chin against the palm of her hand.. her long fingers cradling her cheek as her hooded gaze remained locked on a rather smooth bottle resting behind the counter. She could see just about everything in the room reflected in that polished glass.. and she was watching. This wasn't her bar, and she knew better than to let her guard down in this city.
 Aureana Ramsey Armstrong Aureana pulled open the door to Club Gravity and step inside. She wasn't wearing her normal attire, but rather something that would blend in with the crowd. She didn't go clubbing often as her Escalan half made club environments uncomfortable for her. Already she was getting a head ache from the deep beats of the music and flashing lights. She scanned the bar with her sky blue eyes looking for the reason she was in the club this night. Seeing her associate sitting at the bar already Aureana began weaving her way through the crowd. At 5'-4” with medium length blond hair she was easy to over look, but Aureana didn't mind. She had put her ability to blend in with a crowd to very good use.
She stepped to the bar beside Lark. “I hope you haven't been waiting long?” Aureana asked, just loud enough to be heard over the music. She couldn't help but wonder how much Lark Remia knew or at least suspected. She knew of course that Aureana was at least an associate of the Artemis, as she had first approached Lark under that persona looking for information. She couldn't actually recall how they ended up meeting in person, but she had found she actually enjoyed the other woman's company quit a bit and didn't mind coming out for drinks, even if she didn't enjoy the club atmosphere.
