“Celsus Knight of… Chronos is it?” Jet asked as he closed the door to the knight’s cell behind him, his eyes bright, knowing how much he was going to enjoy his time with this one. He was only a lieutenant, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t get in on the action. Meeting a knight was a big deal, after all.

They’ll be extinct soon enough. Once the Negaverse had taken over completely, there would be no need for knights.

“I’ve heard Chronos is a real person? Is she your princess? Does she control you?” he wondered, curious about this whole… knight thing to begin with. They all seemed like a bunch of losers to him. They had sucky weapons, little magic, and all seemed even more stupid than the senshi. Definitely not as threatening.

His arms and legs hurt from being in such a cramped position for so long; Celsus' left ankle was beginning to grow numb, while his calves had the unpleasant tingling sensation that stemmed from his limbs having fallen asleep after not being used for a period of time.

"That's me," he said lightly, almost cheerfully, however, as the Lieutenant stepped in; and Celsus raised his gaze to meet the other's, looking as pleasant as ever. There were a few bruises on his face, and a slightly wary look in his eyes, but other than that, the knight was mostly unharmed. "Celsus, Knight of Chronos, at your service."

The questions were received with an almost amused look. "She is indeed real," he answered calmly, seeing no reason to lie about it. "And yes, she is my princess; control is the wrong word, by the way. I serve her, but she does not control me."

The mark of his princess glowed brightly on his forehead, half hidden beneath the fringe of bright red hair that hung down around his face. Celsus shifted a little, trying to relieve some of the pressure on his legs.

"I assume you know little about us, considering the questions."

His attitude was annoying. He was a little too cheerful to be in such a place as this. Perhaps not many have had the chance to question him yet. Perfect, this would be a good opportunity for Jet to prove his usefulness.

“They call you the Zodiacs… Is that because there are twelve of you? You all serve one woman? If she's powerful enough to command so many, do you plan on trying to destroy us? Is that it?” he wondered, moving closer to inspect the knight. Jet was obviously new to all of this. He had only learned the basics so far. Things about knights and senshi didn’t interest him, but he figured for the sake of ‘interviewing’ he should be thorough.

“Stop moving,” he hissed, not liking how the man kept fidgeting. It put him on edge. Even if there wasn’t much he could do, the noise of the chains rattling irritated him.

A little laugh escaped him, slightly dry and marginally weary. Celsus flipped his head to get some of the hair out of his eyes, and then regretted this gesture almost immediately, as it made a wave of dizziness wash over him rather unpleasantly. He hauled in a steadying breath.

"Because my princess is head of the Zodiacs," said Celsus simply. "They serve her, and the knights serve the princess, and by extension, those who serve her. It's really not that complicated."

He would have rolled his eyes, but that might have been considered rude, so Celsus merely smiled benignly at his captor. He shifted again, but the reprimand came a second later, and obediently Celsus settled back into the most comfortable position he could find (which wasn't very comfortable, but it would have to do for now).

"I serve the princess," said Celsus again, rather calmly, almost sounding relatively broken record-ish. "As of yet, I haven't been given an order to destroy anyone, so just assume you're safe."

And then he smiled, quite innocently, which was really not that innocently at all.

Everything about this man annoyed Jet. The way he smiled, the way he flipped his hair, the way he spoke. His voice even got on his nerves, as if he wasn’t afraid.

But he would be afraid. Jet’s hazel eyes shifted and flashed like molten metal, not quite settling with one emotion, but he grinned. He grinned wildly, overtaking any of the innocence many may think he would still have with his youth.

“That makes me feel better,” he stared, approaching Celsus slowly, a hunger in his eyes that hadn’t been present before. “I usually don’t care about knights. Killing off senshi and making them suffer ia more my… forte…” he began, his grin twisting into just as wild of a frown. He hauled his fist back, delivering a punch to the knight’s face.

“But you’re really annoying.”

"Isn't it more polite for you to give me your name?" Celsus asked lightly, his eyes twinkling, though a bead of sweat slid down the side of his face; he was clearly getting tired, and sitting in the same position was making his body ache unpleasantly.

He did not like the hunger in those eyes that stared at him. Celsus himself was a fully fledged knight, but right now he was rendered mostly powerless, and the look in the other's eyes was dangerous, almost predatory, and it was a look that spoke clearly of a love of violence.

The hit to his face made his head snap back; Celsus let out a small grunt of pain, stars exploding in his line of vision, and a gasp escaped through his clenched teeth. He reeled in a sharp breath, and tried to focus his vision again, blinking rapidly.

"That's not very nice," he complained. "If you're going to hit on me, then do it proper. Just ask me to dinner or something."

Jet clicked his tongue to the roof of his mouth, still annoyed by this knight, but glad that he was getting the perfect excuse to hurt him. Instead of another punch, he delivered a kick instead. “Maybe by the end of this you’re going to learn not to make a joke out of everything,” Jet said, taking a look at his knuckles from when he’d punched Celsus just a few moments prior.

“My name is Jet,” he said, not seeing any reason why he should hold it back. After all, one day soon his name would be one that all feared. He might be young, but he had a lot of ambitions for his life in the Negaverse. “Not that you’ll have any need of it. You know we’re not going to let any of you out alive. And even if we don’t get the information we want, we’ll just replace you with others.”

Satisfied that he hadn’t caused himself too much damage, he looked back towards the knight. “The Zodiac… Now, I’m not really one to check my horoscope, so you’ll have to forgive my ignorance… Pisces… that’s the name of one of the twelve, yes?”

He was a young thing, at least in Celsus' mind; hot blooded and eager to spill blood, eager to prove himself. The kick to his stomach was enough to warrant that assumption, and Celsus didn't even try to conceal the pain it caused, doubled over and wheezing.

"Who says I'm making a joke?" he asked, tone still mild as he lifted his head, but Celsus was pale, his eyes wary. "And Jet...an interesting name for an interesting fellow, though not particularly impressive, I must say. Not nearly as intimidating as many of your fellow agents."

It was probably a bad idea to tease the man who currently held him captive, but Celsus was, well, Celsus, and seemed unable to stop. He took a breath to steady himself, green eyes rising to meet the other's, and a little smile tugged at the corners of his lips.

"It is," said Celsus simply. "Why do you ask? Planning on doing a little horoscope checking? Need to get your fortune read?"

No, he wasn’t impressive… yet. But he had plenty of opportunities to grow. One day he would make these senshi and knights fear the thought of ever crossing his path.

“I’m not impressive? Think of my disappointment in meeting you people,” he scoffed, reaching to needlessly adjust the cuff of his jacket. “No, no. I don’t need my fortune read. I’m more concerned about how to draw out some information from her.”

A wicked grin found its way onto Jet’s face as he peered down at the knight. Surely this man was not as stupid as he sounded. “I’ve never tried breaking fingers before. Pisces is the… fish? I wonder how long she can hold her breath.”

He laughed, the sound a little hoarse. "I know, I know," Celsus deadpanned, flipping his head so that his red hair fell in shades around his face. He adopted a proud sort of look, deliberately melodramatic. "I'm just like a puppy, really, totally harmless."

His arms were aching. Celsus shifted a little to try and ease the strain of the cuffs keeping him bound, a bead of sweat sliding down the side of his face, against the glowing marks. His gaze flicked back to the Lieutenant, and he gave a little smile.

"Breaking fingers isn't very nice," he said mildly. "As for what you're saying about Pisces...that sounds awfully rude and crude coming from a child, you should really mind your manners when talking to those your senior."

“I am a child,” Jet agreed, his grin not fading as he rolled up the cuffs of his jacket so it would not get in the way. “Aren’t you afraid of what psychopathic children do to puppies?” he wondered, slowly circling around the knight until he was behind him once more. “Maybe I’ll try those things on your Sailor Pisces. I heard she’s really scared. Aren’t you worried about her? Or do you only serve your princess and forsake all others under her rule? Do you try to gain favor by fighting each other off? Doesn’t sound very organized. Typical for the White Moon.”

Jet leaned down behind the knight, reaching out to prod at his hands. “Let’s see… which one should we try first? Do you think your Pisces would be embarrassed enough to talk if we cut off all her hair first? I heard she has nice hair. What about you? Your hair is long. You don’t really need it, do you? Would be a shame if something happened while your hair was being cut, though…”

He winced slightly at the question.

"A strange title to give yourself," said Celsus, now watching Jet with a certain amount of wariness, at least until he disappeared from sight behind him. "Psychopathic child. Well, if nothing else, you realize what you are. But still, you seem awfully self-assured for a child, I'm not sure if that's noble or stupid."

He shifted again, trying to alleviate some of the ache. "I serve the Princess first and foremost," said Celsus mildly. "But my loyalties run to all who are on the right side, and you definitely do not fall under that category."

Hands touched his, and Celsus eased out a sharp breath, tension making his shoulders stiff, arms throbbing, "Leave her out of this, she's not here," he said flatly, a little more seriously than he'd intended. "And what are you, a hairdresser? How unflattering."

Jet shrugged, “I think being self aware would make me a sociopath, but psycho has a much better ring to it, don’t you think?” He let out a laugh, short and cold, as he took hold of one of the knight’s fingers and playfully bent it backwards, using some of the loose chain for a better grip. In fact, he was pretty sure he could slide the opening of the chain right over the knight’s knuckle…

“When you say ‘her’ do you mean Pisces… or your princess? I wonder where she is, your princess. Is she going to come to save you? No one has seen her. Pisces, on the other hand,” he said, twisting the chain tight around that finger until he could have sworn he heard something crack. “She’s next on my list to interrogate. So I’ll give you a choice. Either you give me information that could be useful, or I’ll just have to take out my frustration on her.”

He paused for a moment as he loosened the chain and moved to the next finger. “Or I’ll just have to let her know you cared more about yourself. I wonder what would break her more. I’m guessing you two aren’t very close then? Pity.”

He didn't like the laugh, nor did he like the feel of those fingers against his own, bending them back. Celsus gritted his teeth determinedly, trying to reign in the impulse to show a reaction, to give Jet the satisfaction of knowing just how weak he was at the moment.

"Both," he said, but his voice came out a little too breathless, a little too strained, and then there was a sharpness against his skin, a tightening, a crack, and he let out a stutter of breath that was almost a gasp but not quite, a muffled sound of pain. Celsus' eyes fluttered, breath escaping him sharply, and he forced his head up, trying to keep his wits about him.

"What information...are you looking for exactly?" he said, struggling to keep his tone light, level, though the calmness was ebbing out of him as Jet moved to the next finger. "And no, we're not close, but it doesn't mean that I don't care for those of my same alliances."

“I dunno, why don’t you start talking and I’ll tell you when to stop?” he wondered, preparing to bend the next finger back when there was a sharp knock at the door. Jet looked up and tsked.

“Pity, it seems my time with you has to be cut short, but rest assured… if I’m not back, someone who is probably not as fair tempered as I am probably will,” he promised, drawing himself back up and taking a few steps to frown at the knight. “You might want to start thinking of something to say. Maybe about your little group, or the senshi in general. Moon Queen’s location, etcetera, etcetera…

No matter. He would have plenty of time with this one later. It was best that this knight rested and waited in fear of what would come. “I’ll be sure to give Pisces your regards,” he said with a small laugh and turned to exit.
