In 2049, somewhere in the deep reaches of space a hole was torn open by forces incomprehensible to mankind at that point in time. This hole was like no other hole found in space however, it was an open gateway. To where was unknown but satellites and space probes were sent in to investigate.
Eventually the Collective World Government (CWG), an organization built to maintain and foster a steady state of unity between the remaining countries after World War 3, had put together a team of people to be the first to venture through this gateway.
For 5 years the team was prepared and trained for this mission in specialized ways that suited their positions on the team though some areas of training were taught to every member. They where kept in one spot so that they had all the time in the world to get to know each other living together like a family.
Now the time has come to put that training and preparation to the test. A specially designed all purpose vehicle/home (Known as the Ark) was designed for the team during their 5 years complete with enough food and water to last for at least a year, an electricity generator as well as a air pump and purification system, A artificial gravity generator, an entertainment area complete with video / board / and card games as well as simulations and training and exercise videos. Each room is customized to the exact specifics of the member of the team it belongs to. There is more to be seen aboard the ark though i don't feel like thinking/typing lol.
The Ark is already per-programed to take off in 8760 hours (1 year) after landing and cannot be forced to take off early except by emergency command from the CWG in the case of life threatening events. After all, nobody knows whats waiting on the other side of that hole... yet.

The Things You Should Know Include But Are Not Limited To...
I. The Rules
A) ANY number of people can participate in this rp but if you show up after the start of the rp you will have to have been a person or creature form the other world.
B) You CAN choose to be from the other world from the start though your posts cannot mingle with the posts of the crew until they have made contact with your species. Things like noticing the landing and watching the crew as they touchdown are fine but no interactions until the initial discovery. You may then initiate contact if you wish.
C) Everyone on the crew does NOT have to be specialized. You can be generalized, or an all around trained person though that means you will not have as much training in specific areas as a specialized person. In other words, no god-moding.
D) You do NOT have to roll dice or any actions like that, I did it because it was fun although if i had money on that roll i'd have lost it.
E) PM me your RPID so that i can post it orderly with the rest. Any other way will result in your RPID being removed from the RP.
F) Follow the gaia TOS to the degree required for the guild not to be affected negatively. This means, keep swearing/cussing/profanity to a minimum (or just f**king censor yourself motherf**ker) and keep it pg-15 in terms of romance. Anything after that can be settled in PMs.
G) RESPECT your fellow RPers and have fun.

Character bio - Tremaine was an ordinary person with an unordinary obsession with music before all this space stuff started. When he was chosen by the CWG by random, at first, he figured he'd simply refuse for lack of interest. Then again, it would be a pretty interesting thing to add to his resume while flirting with pretty girls. Not too much time was needed after that though, he agreed willingly and thus began his training at the age of 16. 5 years later he had been strengthened and disciplined in using weapons such as firearms of mostly all kinds though he is known to always carry his trusty customized handgun around with him at all times. He has pretty good aim and sharp reflexes for a guy with bad eye sight. (visual impairment on account of albinism) He's often thought to be lying when he mentions his sight is bad after he's been seen shooting though without intense concentration his bad eye sight becomes obvious in well lit areas. His mask was an accessory made for him during his training. It enables different kinds of visual effects such as night vision, thermal vision, motion detection, and magnification. It has many more functions but its visual abilities are the main reason Trey really uses it and he typically wears it like a hat or simply had it fastened around his next like a cape when it's not over his face.
