How long had it been? How many days had passed since they'd been brought here? Ganymede had no way of knowing, and that frustrated her as much as the questioning.

Worse than the endless interrogations, worse than the beatings and the branding, was the fact that the Negaverse had taken her life from her. She had not slept in her own bed in days; she'd not seen the cat or the dog in just as long. She'd not seen her family or taken care of her baby sister; she'd not danced properly since before the attack. She'd not seen Valhalla since the occasion in which they'd been beaten in front of one another.

Everything about her life that made it meaningful had been taken away from her. Or rather, she had been taken away from her life, locked in a cage in a room with no windows, and a door that was constantly opening and closing.

It opened again now, but Ganymede did not bother to glance in that direction. She no longer cared who it was that paid her a visit. They were all so very much alike. Different faces, difference methods, yet each new agent to arrive was the same as the one before them. She didn't even bother asking for their names. Some refused to give it, and the ones that offered the information couldn't inspire her to care.

Ganymede spun around and around in her cage, locked in but unchanged. She saw the blurred colors of an unfamiliar figure with each fouetté, but chose not to stop to get a better look.

She'd have time for that shortly, she was sure.

Leucite had to admit the cage was a nice touch. The woman within was small, far smaller than him - but he wasn't about to let such appearances fool him. He'd been roughed up plenty by women of similar builds, so he took a moment to observe and gather his thoughts.

It looked like she'd seen better days...

Moving over to the cage, he cleared his throat for a moment.

"Hello," he began, keeping his voice level and neutral. "My name is Leucite - what should I call you?"

Time to play good cop - that would probably be best.

"Do you need anything? Food? Water?"

Of course - if this didn't work... there was bad-cop.

She saw a blur of dark hair and blue uniform as she continued her fouettés. She was attempting to reach a new record and didn't exactly appreciate the disturbance.

“You can call me whatever you want to call me,” she said. Her voice may sound tired, but it remained defiant. “Telling you my name isn't going to change a damned thing as far as how this interaction goes.”

And then she tripped herself up, falling out of a fouetté and stumbling into the bars of her cage.

Ganymede cursed under her breath. She'd blame the officer. It was his fault for bothering her. It was all their fault for keeping her here. She didn't belong here. None of them did. She had nothing further to tell them, and yet they insisted upon trying.

“I'd like a turkey and avocado sandwich and a glass of fresh squeezed lemonade, if you please,” was her sarcastic reply. “Or a bowl of chicken and orzo soup and a side greek salad would be nice. Do you serve fruit smoothies?”

Ah, okay, she was going to be smart, eh? Frowning, he reached through the bars and grabbed her front, trying to pull her as close to the metal as possible.

"Here I am, trying to be kind and helpful, and you're mocking me?" He said, shaking his head slowly.

"That is very unwise."

He pushed her back as hard as he could - maybe she'd smack her head against the bars if he was lucky. He ran his hands along the bars of the cage, listening to each clang as his hand struck the metal.

"Now, then, your name please. This will be the last time I ask nicely."

Ganymede was hardly phased, though being forced against the bars was quite uncomfortable. She smirked, enjoying the fact that she'd gotten a rise out of him so soon. She felt it was proof that he hadn't come to show her kindness, but that his intentions all along had been of the more physically violent sort.

Really, these officers were all becoming so transparent.

“I'd suggest some anger management courses,” she said, “but I suspect they wouldn't help much. Either way, I have a hard time seeing this as a kindness.”

She made no move to struggle. Not yet. She'd follow along for now, though she didn't plan on making it too easy.

“Ooo, you said please and everything,” she said. “Well, I told Laurelite I was the Moon Queen. I think she might have believed me. If you'd like to follow her lead, you can call me 'Your Majesty.'”

He was getting really tired of her s**t.

With a long, drawn out sigh that was 90% actual exasperation and about 10% acting, he rubbed the bridge of his nose between his fingers. "Okay, I see... Your kind are just incapable of speaking anything remotely resembling the truth unless you're under extreme duress..."

Well that just made his life a lot easier.

Reaching through the bars of the cage once more, he made a grab for her arm. If he got a hold of it, he was going to twist it until it was behind her back enough to be more than uncomfortable. If he could manage to get the proper leverage, he'd probably try and dislocate it if he could.

"Your name - Now."

It was awkward, being manhandled through the bars of a cage. The Lieutenant likely intended for his actions to cause more pain. Instead it just felt awkward and a little uncomfortable, having her arm twisted behind her back like that with the cage in the way.

Ganymede laughed, far from impressed.

“You might want to let me out of here if you plan on roughing me up a bit,” she advised him. “The cage is really inconvenient, isn't it? It gets in my way... it gets in your way. If you want to beat me up, wouldn't it be better to do it unobstructed?”

It'd give her the chance to fight back better, if anything.

She didn't expect he'd follow her suggestion, even if he did have the upper hand. There was nowhere for her to go behind a locked door. She had no key for her cage, no strength to force the door from its hinges. There was no window to break and climb out of, nothing at all that might allow her to escape.

“I told you, Lieutenant, you can call me 'Your Majesty.'”

She really shouldn't taunt him. The cage was protecting her more than it was him. Growling he let her go and stalked out of the room. Conversing with the other Spec. Ops. guard for a moment, he returned shortly with the key to her cage, which he unlocked, then vaulted up into slightly, reaching in and grabbing her by the hair.

He then proceeded to drag her out of the cage, roughly, not caring if she landed on her face, while beating her about the head and neck with his free fist.

"IS THIS MORE TO YOUR LIKING YOUR MAJESTY?!"

He was so fed up with her s**t.

Ganymede could not determine whether or not she was pleased that the Lieutenant returned to unlock her cage. She didn't have the opportunity to dart passed him, in any case. A hand went into her hair and pulled. Ganymede had no choice but to follow along unless she wanted some of her hair ripped out.

She winced and hissed with the pain, noises which soon turned to grunts and groans as his free hand rained down on her in a series of jarring blows. Stubbornly, Ganymede kept herself from crying out. She didn't want to allow him the satisfaction.

During a break in the action, Ganymede spat some blood out onto the floor. Her face was bruised, swollen already from previous beatings, and her lips were cracked and split, dribbling streams of blood down her chin.

“Beating on someone make you feel like a man?” she taunted him. “What are you overcompensating for, hmm?”

Leucite proceeded to tell Ganymede, in no uncertain terms, where she could shove her comments as well as what she could do with herself. His phrasing and diction were - in a word - coarse. She had long since passed the point of pissing him off. He wasn't going to ask her questions anymore.

He was just going to beat her till information spilled out like a human sized pinata.

He sent to kick her in the ribs, hard and with great intent to cause as much harm to her as he could.

"b***h," he spat. "I don't have to compensate for s**t."

He gave her another kick, then a third for good measure.

"What trash would even want to touch your a**? ******** filth."

Ganymede doubled over and gasped for breath. Her arms wrapped around her torso for protection, but his kicks landed despite her best efforts. Her ribs ached and her lungs screamed for air which had been forced from them.

Still, she looked up at the Lieutenant with a haughty smirk, and spoke to him snidely through the pain.

“Then why... are you touching me?” she wondered. She took in a few deep lung fulls of air while she had the chance, huffing out a laugh as she did so.

“Maybe you like touching filth,” she said. “Whatever, a*****e. Just know that kicking the s**t out of me isn't going to get you any more information than what I've already told the others, which is nothing. If anything it's just going to make me more determined to keep my mouth shut and piss you right off.

“But maybe you like that,” she leered. “You like the chance to play rough? Make you feel powerful? Wait until the day the tables are turned, Lieutenant. You won't stand a chance.”

NO APOLOGIES. AWFUL IS WONDERFUL.

Leucite wasn't sure what drove this poor misguided woman into goading his last nerve, but he'd had just enough of her s**t. His next kick was a thing of concentrated malice and rage, he really hoped he broke a rib or two when it was all said and done.

"Because it's my job, and I do my job." He growled, looking down at the mess of a senshi before shaking his head.

"But you're right, this is tiresome." He said quietly.

Still, he gave her another kick, this one aimed for her chest. He knew that it was a b***h for women to get hit there and he was in a mood.

"Oh, I do like to play rough, but you ain't my type - and puff up and hiss all you want, b***h, I ain't scared of your a**."

All pretense at actually being eloquent were out the window at this point.

“You should be scared,” Ganymede said.

She flinched away from the kicks, but they connected in spite of her efforts to avoid them. The one to her ribs knocked the breath from her lungs again, and she felt a sharp pain in her side she thought might be a broken rib. The kick to her chest caused equal distress, forcing what air she'd managed to gasp into her lungs after the kick to her ribs right back out again. She coughed harshly, hunching over on the ground with her arms wrapped protectively around her torso.

But she continued to face the Lieutenant with defiance. If she was going to be broken, it sure as hell wasn't going to be at the hands of a mere Lieutenant. Had she enough power to use her magic in that moment, she'd have him on his knees, whimpering in pain like a kicked puppy.

“When I get out of this place—and make no mistake, I will get out of here...” Ganymede said with false bravado. She expressed far more confidence than she felt, sure as she was becoming that she might die here. “... the next time I see your ugly mug of a face, I'll make you wish you'd never set foot in this room.”

Leucite reached down again, grabbing Ganymede by the hair once more he drove her face downward into the floor, twice, with just enough force to make it hurt but not cause any permanent damage. Though he secretly hoped he broke her nose at least a little, the b***h.

Pulling her up again by her hair he growled and bodily shoved her back in the cage, not caring if her body dragged against the opening at all as he tried to shove her as far back into the thing as he could.

"The day we meet again, it'll be the day you see me in hell."

Then he slammed the gate of the cage shut and locked it watching her.

"You got anything else you wanna say?"

Ganymede predicted what the Lieutenant meant to do two seconds before he did it, and wrenched her head to the side so her nose wouldn't bear the brunt of the impact. Instead, the side of her face collided with the floor. She was sure it would be bruised and swollen by the end of this encounter—more so than it already was.

She clenched her teeth together and withheld any sound she might have made from the pain, glaring up at the Lieutenant as she was dragged back into her cage. She didn't fight it, except to kick out at him as she was forced uncomfortably back through the cage opening.

Breathing heavily, Ganymede slumped onto the floor of the cage, glaring darkly as the Lieutenant closed her in again.

“Yeah, as a matter of fact, I do,” she said. “<******** you.”
