He'd just left Acrucis behind, though he didn't want to, and hurried off to find help. He needed someone for her but who? Thinking over the officers he knew and their files, which he'd been over more than once, he came to remember Mica and her being an EMT. That would help! The matter now was if she would indeed help him. He would have to convince her to aid him in his venture and help possibly save the senshi of prayer.
Had he known this was going to happen, this kidnapping, and that he'd been bouncing around as he had been he would have brought something with him for headaches. He was sure that by the time he got home tonight he'd have a splitting headache and be more stressed than he had been in a long time.
With a part of his uniform left behind, covering the girl, he continued through the fun house in search of his fellow General. he was sure she'd been involved in this kidnapping of senshi and knights and if so she was likely still around, doing what he didn't know, he didn't know Mica that well but felt he could look to her for help and trust her to an extend. He would need to cover up his true motives for needing to help the senshi and needing Mica to aid him in doing so. He didn't trust that she wouldn't turn him over to a General Queen if he let her know the truth behind his actions.

It just so happened that General Mica was looking over the list of captives and was monitoring their conditions, though she had a feeling that only some of these reports were even remotely accurate. If anything, they'd reveal the bare minimum and most of the reports were incomplete, likely due to general apathy for the physical state of their captives by some of her fellow officers, or the prisoners themselves hiding anything they figured could be used against them by the next interrogator. In this line of work, the only thing that seemed to matter was that their prisoners were alive- what state of living they were in was a completely different matter, and the saddest part was that it should have angered her.
But it didn't. Not nearly as much as she wanted it to. Though she had been asked to volunteer her services as a medical adviser, her overall concern for the prisoners was about the same as most of the officers that participated in the interrogations. These prisoners were simply that, prisoners and nothing more. They would live long enough to serve their function, and then either be converted, or put to death. What Mica was more concerned with was the morale of their own officers, as well as the long term effects that such a thing would cause to some of the more... sensitive ones.
One of which was her former roommate and benefactor and caretaker, but any attempt to sit down and talk with him was thwarted when an officer reported an injury or requested her assistance. She made a mental note to sit down and talk with him, or convince Amethyst to do it, since he was already being a huge help as it was. Though, getting some of their officers to admit that they were having too much fun or that this whole ordeal was going to permanently scar their psyche would be as fruitful as corrupting those glowing senshi...
Another problem was forming in the back of her mind, the fear that some officers were perhaps too sympathetic in their treatment of the prisoners, but that thought was derailed when she heard booted footsteps clack against the floor. By the speed, it sounded urgent, and she glanced over her shoulder to see Benitoite approaching. She offered him a polite nod and a curt greeting, before turning back to her report, stifling the memory of their drinking contest in the Rift years ago. "General."

"Mica." The word, the single solitary word, was breathed out with relief as he looked down at the seated General. "I have need of your expertise." he spoke, not a trace of the teenager he was within his voice. He might be a teenager but he knew how to be serious and he was being just that right now. He knew officers here would abuse the captive senshi and knights, it went with the territory. Not to mention some people when given power, told that some people were insignificant, seemed to let the power get to them and abused it beyond what should be tolerable.
"There is a senshi in need of medical help. They are coughing blood, can't move much, I don't know the extent of their mobility...or lack there of. Their breathing is off as well and talking is an issue. They've been hit in the stomach at the very least and given that they have covered my boots in blood, which they couched up, I'd like to think they have taken too much of a beating recently." Someone had gone a bit too far. This one needed help of they wouldn't live.
He hoped Mica would understand not question him but he was also sure she would. This was out of character for him, at least as far as most remembered of him. "We cannot have a senshi die on us at this early point in things." Should he put all his cards on the table? He could and see what happened? it might motivate Mica to help him more. It was worth a try. So he sat himself at her side and dropped his voice. "This senshi is under my personal protection, whether anyone knows it or not - it doesn't matter. This senshi is of use to us - no matter what side they are on. They have the ability to heal wounds and will do so for anyone, including us, in a battle." She would see the use in that, she wasn't stupid like some might be. He saw the use in Acrucis, not to mention he cared for her as an individual.
"I need her alive and well." Would they forcefully bring her to their side? Would his words condemn her? He hoped not. he couldn't do that to her, it might turn her against them. If anything could that might just do it. She was, as she was now, willing to help them all but if she was corrupted and betray like that she might not be. "I'm sure you understand why I need your help. I know nothing of what to do and we need her alive." Not just because he saw the need for her but right now they needed her for any information she might actually have, though he didn't think she had any. Let them think she might, it might keep her alive longer."

Mica usually felt that she had a good control over her emotions and what she allowed to show, but the sense of pride she felt when he admitted to needing her expertise was hard to fight down the urge to smile. She swore she could almost feel her face cracking from the strain, but it was short lived before she forced herself back into an aura of strict professionalism. "Hopefully not for yourself personally, but go on. I'm listening."
And listen she did. Not once did she interrupt or speak up, and at some point during his explaination she had set down the notepad, though that didn't distract her in the least. She listened intently and towards the end of it, she found herself starting to struggle with keeping a straight face. No, she wasn't humored nor was she not willing to take the matter seriously, but it was hard to suppress her frown, and even harder to admit that not all of it had to do with the grim condition for the senshi.
There was no two-ways about it. She was in terrible condition, and had this been an officer of the Negaverse or one of their own Senshi, she might have immediately suggested they'd take her to the hospital. However, this was a senshi he was talking about, a White Moon senshi. One of their prisoners, and the level of concern he showed... worried her more than the critical condition of her incoming patient.
He seemed to try to cover his tracks well, proclaiming it was their orders, but Mica wasn't sure she was convinced, and she interlaced her fingers and rested them in front of her as she debated the situation in silence. She should have questioned him, she felt as though she should have reminded him that their prisoner was simply that, a prisoner, an enemy unless they accepted Chaos into their starseed. But she had a feeling that he knew this, and acted out regardless. And that worried her.
"Internal bleeding, that's why they're coughing up blood." She said after some time in silence, deciding to roll with it for now. She was a medic, not part of the disciplinary police. "Probably some bleeding in the lungs- difficulty breathing and talking would attribute to that. Anymore blood in her lungs and they'll die, simple as that. Even if we give them medical treatment, it'll be a rocky road... they could literally turn for the worse at any moment."
Not that she really cared. It would have been a pity to lose someone that held potentially useful information, but that was about it. But not for Benitoite, it seemed. No, she was 'special', and she couldn't help but wonder why. "Once they've served their purpose, the only use for them is conversion, and those that are unwilling or unable to survive the conversion, are useless. But you're right- we can't allow one of the prisoners to die, if they still hold some shred of information that we didn't have before."
She had already agreed to help him, but him sitting down next to her only seemed to sweeten the deal. Now, she couldn't stop herself, and she looked him over, studying him, letting him know that she was suspicious and that he would have only one chance. Hearing of the senshi's ability did rattle some jealousy within her, but at the same time, she could see why Benitoite was determined to keep her alive. She was useful. Is, she reminded herself, because she had every intention of keeping her alive now. "Very well, but before we do, what am I to say should someone question me? You have to admit... Mica being so adamant about saving a senshi's life... is bound to turn a few heads and draw suspicious fire to me. Why should I risk my security here in the Negaverse? What should I tell them, besides me doing you a personal favor?"

He knew Mica was suspicious of him, she had ever right to be. Mica was not some stupid officer who he could just talk sweetly to and get what he wanted. She was not so weak and she was certainly not someone who was enamored with him, or friendly enough, with him to just take his words at face value. It was part of what also had him telling Mica just what this senshi meant to him, or at least a good deal of it.
Internal bleeding though...that didn't sound good. How to handle that? Wasn't that something a person went to the hospital for? He was sure it was and yet he knew she couldn't get to a hospital - not with this whole kidnapping mission and interrogation. There was no way for that to happen. "Now you see why this senshi needs to live. Tell me what is needed and I'll help get it. As for being questioned you can direct them to me. I'll tell them the same thing I told you if need be. Even as a white moon senshi, before this, she was of use to us without us knowing as it never came in to play." There had been no big battles where she had been there and able to heal their people as well.
"I will not permit her to die if I can help it, though it does sound bad. I know little about medicine and such but I'm sure internal bleeding is as bad as you said and then some." And he didn't like that, not in the slightest bit.
"Shall I show you to the patient?" He asked after a moment and smiled to Mica, a very slight twitching upward of his lips. He was happy, pleased even, to have her assistance. "Your position will be safe, mine...I'm not worried." He was but he wasn't about to let her know that. He wasn't about to let his fluctuating loyalties be known or guessed even if he could help it.

Mica narrowed her eyes in thought at his question, and knowing that he was being extremely serious made her just as serious as well. "I need to see her for myself first, but she'll likely need a blood transfusion, to make up for the blood she's losing now. Keep her ABCs doing, her airways need to remain open, make sure she's breathing, and I need to monitor her circulation. Besides that, there may not be much I can do alone, or here... but I'll give her a look over and see first. There might be more than she's letting on..."
She didn't necessarily approve of Benitoite's devotion to a White Moon senshi, but she admired his tenacity, even if it was slightly misguided. Maybe it was more of that than her usefulness that lured her into wanting to assist him, though her hopes were at a reasonable level of expectation. She sounded bad, really bad... and now she was expected to save her? All in a days work, it seemed.
"Very well, I'll see what I can do, but no promises. We may need to bring the hospital here, assuming our superiors don't allow us to get her there. I doubt they'll be as inclined to helping this asset as you are, General, but lead the way." She rose to her feet and gripped the table to support herself for a moment. It had been awhile since she ate, she reminded herself, but nourishment would have to come later. She could only hope that he was so concerned with the patient that he didn't notice. "You should be worried..."

Nodding his head to the other Generals words he felt himself go pale, he felt that knot and ill feeling settle in his stomach. That was bad - very bad. He couldn't allow her to die...he simply couldn't. He felt one hand, under the table, clench into a fist. She was useful and needed and couldn't die! She didn't have his permission! If he were a child he'd have slammed his head onto the table top, let it rattle things around, but he didn't. he took a deep breath to calm himself instead, let his hand relax and open. "There could be and if so we might have to work with it. For this I suppose I'll be your nurse." He stated with something of a smile sent Mica's way. "I'll just get what you need and do what you tell me to." For this she would be the one in charge and he the gofer.
"If need be I'll make a few...trips to the hospital and borrow a few things. I could, at this point, careless if anyone approved of what I'm doing. Our original orders were to not kill them...those orders have yet to change. They expanded, questioning and such, but not to kill them. So I will be doing my best to stick to those orders so she may, with any hope, continue to live and assist us as we need in future battles." Nodding his head he offered Mica a hand.
"Follow me...Doctor Mica." Smiling as he nodded his head, half nod and half bow, and ran his fingers through his hair. "I am becoming more and more worried as you fill me in on things. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised but it just makes this feel more helpless...and hopeless. However should we manage to keep her alive...you should get some award for it though I don't suspect anyone would give you such an award. But to keep someone alive, from such a thing, with so little and under these conditions..." Here he shook his head and smiled to his fellow General. "That takes more than talent and luck." It took skill and he would be the first to praise the other General if she managed this, he would also thank her. But he knew he couldn't let her know all his reasons for wanting to keep this senshi alive.

She seldom smiled and meant it, however she wasn't opposed to making exceptions. She could tell that Benitoite was worried for this senshi, and though however misguided it may be, she had to admire him for it. It must have been nice to care for someone so much that you'd be willing to tarnish one's good standings and security for it, she thought almost bitterly. Was there a single person in the Negaverse that she would do this for? Was there anyone that would do this FOR her? The answer was simple. No. And she was afraid that she only had herself to blame.
"There's nothing degrading about being a nurse," Mica told him with a soft smile, and that was as far as her teasing would go. He was even willing to fetch supplies for him, though it hardly seemed too necessary thanks to her medkit. Without a word, she followed him, noticing his concern and the depths of it but choosing not to comment on it for the time being. He had enough on his mind- possible treason wasn't another thing that needed to be added to the list. She couldn't help but feel he was purposefully trying to flatter her, and she shook her head. "I appreciate your compliments, but they're not necessary. And please, just General. No Doctor. I'm only a field medic and EMT, hardly worthy of such a title."

"No, I'm sure there isn't." He stated with a smile. It was just odd playing second fiddle he supposed but wasn't that what he did all the time? He was a General not a General King and certainly nothing higher than that. But perhaps it was just odd playing a nurse, the underling, to a fellow General? He supposed that was likely the root of the oddness to it but he wasn't upset by it as he knew he didn't know enough to handle this situation, at least not if he wanted Acrucis to live.
He might be flattering her but the words weren't there just to gain her help or inflate an ego. they were honest and sincere, even if they weren't compliments he'd normally give so liberally even if they were honest and sincere. But more importantly was what Mica would be facing, from the sound of it, she would have little to work with and a lot to do and that did, in his opinion, deserve something because it sounded like they'd be trying to find ways to invent what they needed.
Reaching Acrucis' holding area he pulled open the entrance and held it for Mica. "You know what I said is true. To keep her alive without the proper things does deserve something." He stated with an honest and easy smile. Let Mica question him later, let someone higher up question him. he'd defend and explain himself as much as he had to.

There was still some doubt in her heart that Benitoite was being completely serious with her, though it wasn't like him to pull pranks or carry on jokes for too long. No, because she knew that he was serious most of the time worried her, but what else could she do but follow him? If he was serious about saving this senshi's life, then the least she could do was try her best to humor him, and simply fall back on their orders to keep them alive when she feared he had simply grown too attached.
She offered a polite bow to Benitoite as he held the door for her, and what she saw when she entered, she could not help but feel herself taken back. Even from this angle, it was clear that she would have her work completely cut out for her and that his request would be no small order.
The question shouldn't be would she keep her alive, but could she, and she offered him a bleak look as she approached Acrucis' side, popping open her medkit and getting straight to work. "We'll discuss compensation later... right now, I'm going to need a pen and paper to make a list. I don't care how you get them, or who you have to kill to obtain them, but I need machines. Steal an entire ambulance if you must..."
And she was not joking. Acrucis, senshi or not, needed immediate medical attention.
