“Where the hell were you?” Jet glowered as Sera approached him. He had his arms crossed over his chest, still irritated from what Aquamarine had done to him. Hold grudges? Yes he did. At least until he had reason to release those who had offended him.
“I could have used your help,” He bristled bitterly. “Is your new family that important to you?” he wondered, steeling himself for Sera’s answer but then deciding he didn’t want to know. It was bad enough that Aquamarine had taken credit for his work, but Sera had disappeared.
Lucky for him, he had the opportunity to take out his anger on pathetic knights and senshi.
“Forget it,” he hissed, roughly shoving his way past Sera so he could decide which senshi to ‘speak’ to next.

Seraphinite was used to some huffing from Jet--it's just how Ilian was--but this? The first thrown demand made the other lieutenant halt in his approach, eyes narrowed as he took in his friend's stance. "I told you, I was getting Melinda and Daniel out of there. I just didn't plan on them keeping that tight a watch on me so I couldn't slip away in the chaos." His adoptive mother had been clamped to his arm, and though he'd tried to even use the appearance of the youma as a way to get out of her grip, she'd thwarted any attempt. He hadn't exactly expected her to be so strong.
The new slew of attempted insults made Sera lift his head, looking down at Jet with furrowed brows. New family that important to you? No. He just hadn't seen the point in letting them see him as a Negaverse agent, or attempt to actually let a youma attack them. But he'd clearly missed something that night. When Jett shoved passed him, the teen sighed and reached out to try and catch hold of Jet's arm. "Hold on, hold on," he tried, turning with the other to walk after him if necessary.
"What happened that night? I tried to get back but if I pushed it would have gotten Melinda hit by a youma. She hadn't done anything wrong." Short, simple, to the point. No exaggerations, no nothing. It wasn't his style, and it wasn't something he tolerated from others. Jet asked a question, there was his answer. Partial. Did his new family matter so much to him? No, but in that moment he hadn't seen a better choice.
Though clearly Ilian felt otherwise, which only made him wonder what the <********> happened.

”Get off,” Jet hissed, ripping his arm away from Sera as he grabbed on, not wanting to be touched or coddled at the moment. Obviously he was on his own, anyway. So what did it matter?
“Nothing happened,” he snarled, forced to stop when he made a wrong turn and came to a dead end. He hesitated for a few moments, floundering in his lack of options, before having no choice but to turn and face Sera.
The expression on his face was a mix of anger and embarrassment, not wanting to seem as weak as he knew he was. Aquamarine had taken credit for his work. His friend had left him. What did Jet have if he had no family, friends, or honor? He was useless, just like these senshi and knights they had locked away. He was entirely on his own.

"Bullshit. If it was nothing you wouldn't be this pissed." He followed Jet at a casual pace, waiting for the other to either calm down or explode or... something. Just tell him what the ******** was going on. The run around was gonna get old fast, but Sera was attempting patience here. It wasn't like he didn't feel guilty for not being able to get back, but what did Jet expect now? An apology? Fine, it'd be genuine. Did he expect for him to make it up to him somehow? Fine.
But the running away and running around the bush was making Seraphinite roll his eyes the moment Jet wasn't facing him.
The dead end made the corner of his lips twitched but he smashed that reaction right on away when Jet turned around to face him. He knew better than to let Ilian see him laugh, least for now. Holding his hands up in a classic unarmed stance, he cocked his head slightly as he took in Jet's face. "I didn't intend to leave like that, I'm sorry. So just tell me, what happened?" If he didn't get an answer out of Ilian soon, he was going to track down the snob Aquamarine and Seraphinite wasn't willing to be as patient with him as he was with Jet. He was standing his ground for now, putting himself in a place to make it a tad more difficult for Jet to blow past him--hopefully.
