Zeme hadn’t been expecting to attend the winter solstice celebration. If only because she wasn’t one that dealt well with cold weather; yet here she was because Iona had drug her out. It wasn’t that the festival wasn’t beautiful, because it was. It was more that the chill in the air and the snow made her tired and lethargic. Cold weather wasn’t plant weather and it made it hard on her more often than not.
She shuddered slightly picking her paw up out of the snow and standing on only three for a moment. The food had been good, and she was enjoying the games, but she really could use a nice spot to curl up in and be warm at this point. Iona the fiery mare that she was had long since vanished from Zeme’s side; leaving the little plant shivering with a lack of heat.
It didn’t help that Zeme was a little shy by nature and found herself stuttering over her words due to all the people. She didn’t really know how to approach them and interject herself into the conversation and fun. So she was left walking around alone for the most part, entertaining herself. It was at this point that an event was announced that had her perking with interest and moving towards the call.
She asked politely if she could join and was quickly set up with a lantern and the tools she would need. Zeme stared at the blank space for a long time not sure what to draw before she eventually ended up starting with just a flower. She figured the rest would come to her in time but that for right now this was good enough. Though she did glance out at the water and wonder silently, if only to herself, if Ehec might be somewhere around. She found she missed the bright male when he wasn't around.

The cold weather made it possible for the sea creatures to come out. Especially if there was still falling snow. His scales wouldn't get dry or anything! "SCORE! LAND HERE WE COME!" Although he wasn't the only one who would come along. Noting that some of his other friends had the idea of going up to the land for the event. It didn't take long before they all came through the channels and in to the centre. Popping out of the nearby springs and lakes to enjoy in the fun. They didn't mind walking on all twos! Ehecatl was partying it down at the carols while his friends took their chances at snatching up food from the vendors. "So these are what the land lovers eat!" They laughed and it was a grand time. Ehecatl was apart of the life in his little group. The ice felt good under him. As if he was in the water.. the falling snow. He looked up... During this time was the only time they could come up to land without being completely in pain and always rushing back to the water and this was his first time in the festival.
"Hey guys-" He heard as massive horn- then the announcement came. Most of his friends mismissed the activity. "It's boring. I'm not going. It's only litering the skies and the lakes when the darn things lose their heat to fly. It's a stupid tradition." Silky scaly ears laid down on his head. "Well I haven't ever done it. So I'm going." "LAME-O." They teased. "It's lame that your too scared to be seen making them- I bet you secretly want to do them." And so, the group separated and he got some of his friends to follow him. At different stations.. As he was fixing up his lantern, the beautiful hostess spoke.
Lantern Hostess: "Hello everyone, The lanterns are a tradition that have been passed down, generation through generation from the northern region. Now- we bring to you today, in the Centre- The floating lanterns. They represent what is most important to you. We decorate them with our hopes, our dreams, goals- and resolutions... Forgiveness and thankfulness. Your true heart's desire."
While everyone else started working on their lanterns...but the adrenaline Junkie... was stumped. He had friends.. he had family. He got all the best waves... His friends laughed and teased about theirs but one in paricular was quiet as he softly drew on the lantern. "What.. are you putting on yours." The Uudesa smiled softly, her tail padding the ground. "To..find my Prince Charming." Her eyes were softly and had a particular glow. "I think I found him...but I just.. want him to notice me." "Who?" Then the sweet Uudesa girl pointed over at other table. One of the more- rough around the edges friend they had. "HIM!? Of all the fish in the sea-" "SHUUU..... You.. wouldn't understand. He isn't like everyone thinks. He has a heart deeper inside. Don't you have someone special? That only you know that their the very best. More than anyone else?" His eyes slitted...
Then he closed them. "Yea but.. It- won't work." "Why not." "She's a-"
The Hostess hushed him. "If you want them to come true... you must not speak them. Write them. Draw them on the lanterns!~ Let them soar through the sky!... and may your wishes come true..."
The Horn sounded.. "ALRIGHTY EVERYONE! TIME TO SET YOUR LANTERNS FREE!"
Ehecatl quickly drew her flowers.... and the crowd gathered to the large body of water.. and the fire ulaya's and winged ulaya helped to make the lanterns float. Ehecatl held his lantern... This was the first time the Uudesa was unsure of his feelings. He decided that she was a landlover and it'd never work and they would just hurt each other. So he didn't pursue her. But deep down...
Softly he let his lantern free and it floated in the sky with the rest of them. Some of the crowd separated.. but not Ehecatl. Even when they called his name. "Nauh guys. Imma stay here for a minute.." As he stayed watching them.. his tail flapping on the snow. Looking up.. and thinking about her. "...Landlover.."

Zeme had worked in silence on her lantern. The flower had eventually turned out to be floating in a vast river which spanned most of the lantern and a koi fish of some sort seemed content to swim along beside the flower. It was a curious scene but by the end of it Zeme felt it captured how she felt and it spoke to her in ways she hadn’t been expecting. She couldn’t really explain it of course, but she did know that if nothing else she wanted to see Ehecatl. She missed him, though she was sure that the bouncy male had long since forgotten about the silly flower that had wandered too close to his water. She gave a soft little sigh before starting as they were all called to release their lanterns. There were so many people that she felt sort of squished and ended up waiting till near the very end. Zeme shivered in the cold as she glanced around herself, moving to hand her lantern off to be set into the sky before she moved to sit and watch it float away into the sky. She could hardly see it, a speck of light in the distance easily confused with stars when a name caught her attention. It wasn’t something calling her but she was sure she has heard them say his name. The flower ulaya glanced around looking over the faces of those around her until she spotted the scaled male, tail swishing in the snow. She gasped slightly and glanced back at where her lantern had vanished into the distance before looking back at Ehe. Surly this was a coincidence and her wish hadn’t actually managed to come true right? Her breath hitched slightly before she shook her head, shaking some of the snow that had gathered there off. Well, regardless, this is what she had wanted right? To at least see him again, even if he didn’t remember her; this was her chance. Zeme took a deep breath before stepping over to sit beside him. “Hey stranger.” She commented lightly with a soft smile. Her voice wavering slightly, though if that was from nerves or the cold was hard to tell. The leaves on her back rustled slightly with both the wind and her trembles. “Fancy meeting you here.” Zeme spoke her voice almost lost on the wind as it rushed around them.

If he was anything. It was downright full of his ability to be 'cool'. But he hadn't at all expected that his lantern would bring her back to him. Ever. "Yea Im kin-" When he turned to the side, his obvious reactions to his friends or anyone he didn't know. But when he met the eyes of the one speaking, his face was surprised. VERY surprised! "Ah...Hey!" A nervous smile plastered over his face and his cool guy act went awkward- really quick. "Ah yea. Well. Um. Landlover- We aren't strangers now are we." A soft laugh.
"What are you doing here? I mean.. Um.. did you.. ah.. do the lantern thing? I did- I never been in land for so. Although it totally litters the sea and oceans with lanterns." His ears went back. "I mean if you like doing this- it's pretty cool. I did it- but not like I don't know. Do it again, cause we're trying to save the oceans right? Right. Sorry.. I.. don't go on land usually. How are you..? How've you been since our swim.." He wouldn't tell her that he had thought of her quite often and even when speaking and flirting with girls- he'd crawl right back to thinking of her.
Landlovers was a thing to be ashamed of. Naturally.
His eyes, were softer when she was around. He was on a different kind of adrenaline and it gave him.. butterflies now. Before- it wasn't like this.. or maybe he didn't notice.

Zeme watched the other with a bit of an amused smile on her face. He had been so nonchalant there for a moment until he saw her. Then he had suddenly seemed to trip over himself and she couldn’t help but giggle slightly at it. “No I suppose we aren’t strangers, fishy.” She mused very softly as he called her a land lover. She watched him stumble over himself. He seemed to be having a time of it tonight and she almost felt sorry for him. Once he had finished speaking she leaned over to lightly press her shoulder against his and nuzzle his ear. “It’s okay you know? I’m not sure what’s got you so nervous but you didn’t offend me or anything. I did do the lantern event, and I enjoyed it. However I know it’s bound to litter the ocean up considering some of them make it terribly off course and land in my forest. So I won’t do it ever again okay? Just for you.” She spoke softly, sitting closer than she really ought to. Her shoulder brushed against his quite often but her trembling wasn’t quite as violent anymore and she didn’t really wish to move away from his warmth. “As for how I’ve been, I’ve been good. A bit lonely really, not terribly so but I could do with some good company. It’s strange though, never really been lonely before. I’ve always been a solitary creature ya know?” She stated with a slight roll of her shoulders. “It’s good to see you on land though, how are you enjoying it? Bet it’s strange for you huh?” She asked softly shuddering slightly for a moment. She was just about to say something else when she got pelted with a snowball in the shoulder making her yelp and bounce into Ehec. “Hey!” She squeaked puffing up as she scrambled behind her male counterpart to look around and try and find just who had decided to pelt her with a snowball.

A huff came out. "FIshy." He eye rolled. "Landlover." He commented back again. When she brushed up against him, his paw came to his head and his laugh was soft, as soft as a guy's could get. Smoothing out his scaley head. It was good that she understood. It was littering but truthfully, he wouldn't mind finding hers. Maybe he would.. Seeing the floating lights on the water when they lost their heat. A sigh left him, and when she brushed her shoulder- he inched away. Then when it happened again.. He leaned in to it.
'Just for you-' He looked down with a flicker of his ear.
"I know the feeling." He'd felt it since she left. Even when he was surrounded by all his friends. Which- seemed to find their way back towards him without him knowing. "Strange- is definitely a way to describe what I'm feeling." Giving her a nod and softly he smiled at her. Just looking at her gave him... a feeling that he was in the right place. But at the wrong time.
When he was just about to ask if she had missed him, she was thrown a snowball. Quickly she didn't hesitate to get behind him, as if they had already thought the same thing at the same time. "HEY WHO THRE-!!!!" He to took a snowball~ but right to the face! He shook it off, although it felt nice to have the cold rush within his scales.
"LIL!" He screamed and scooped up a ball of snow and threw it at her. "Head for cover!" Looking around him for anything that was available. Just some bushes and a tree with lights. "Get behind there- I'll cover you!" So he did- throwing a bunch of snowballs at his friends whom laughed and tried to dodge him.
"IS THAT THE LAND LOVER YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT~"
"SHES CUTE!!!"
"SHUDDAUP!" Aiming and piloting a snowball right at one of his male friends' faces. "Not like you had a crush on Lil- Right Tibolt!"
The male blushed and threw a giant snowball. "I wouldn't have a crush on that suckerfish!!" - "HEY!"
Managing to get them to target each other as he rolled himself in to the tree and right behind his bushy friend. "Hahahaha~ They are so stupid~" Shaking his head, and peeking around the corner. A snowball smashed in to the tree and he pushed his back against it. "Funny how those two have a crush on each other~ hahah~"
"COME OUT SWIFTFIN!" When he laughed, he laughed joyously. He leaned over to Zeme. "If they weren't throwing snowballs- I'd introduce you." A classic school boy smile to her. "But I'll protect ya~"
Of The Epidemic You can rp his friends too. They are the classic mischievous pair!
