Cyllene paced outside of a door - the door that she was told lead to Sailor Ganymede. Finally, she took a deep breath and turned the knob, slipping quietly into the room that housed her former teammate. Seeing Ganymede in her cage had Cyllene's heart racing and she slammed the door shut behind her, making her way quickly to the cage. Her hands gripped the cage bars and her blue eyes searched the other blonde's form desperately to take in her injuries.

Was this really what she left the White Moon for? To join an organization that did this?

"Ganymede..." Cyllene said softly, barely above a whisper. She wasn't even sure that she would repsond to her. It was Cyllene's fault that she was here after all, and that thought alone made her sick to her stomach. They were orders, she told herself over and over again, as if that would make the situation any less real or awful.

"I..." What was she even going to say? Her eyes were desperate and pleading and suddenly full of tears- which was ridiculous because she was most definitely not the one trapped in a cage and having terrible awful things done to her. Sniffling quietly, she rubbed at her eyes and her now-runny nose with the back of her gloved hand. "I didn't mean..." She cut herself off again. Didn't mean for what? For the Negaverse to torture you? Releasing the bar that she still held onto with her left hand, she took a step back and sunk to the ground in a puddle of long blonde and blue hair.

Ganymede sat upon the floor of her cage, idly picking at some blood that crusted along parts of her bustier. She wasn't entirely sure all of it was her own. Some of it was, the result of numerous beatings at the hands of her captors. She looked pale and tired, her hair unwashed and unbrushed, her fuku torn in so many places it was almost impossible to determine what it looked like when it was whole.

She looked up when she heard the door slam shut, expecting another round of questions, maybe another beating, maybe another hot poker to the back of her neck, but instead the sight that met her eyes was a welcome one, even if the aura that greeted her still felt so very wrong.

A small, slow smile spread alond her face. Ganymede crawled across the floor of her cage on two sore knees and one good hand, her other arm bound up in a make-shift splint—the most that could be done for her outside of a proper medical establishment. She came to a stop by the bars and leaned against them heavily, staring out at her former teammate—not former, she told herself; Cyllene was still as much a Jovian now as she'd been before—with no small amount of sympathy.

“Cyllene,” she said. She sounded calm, understanding. “Cyllene, it's not your fault. You were just doing what you were told, right?”

That thought made her sick, that Cyllene was so far under their control she'd capture her own teammates when she was told. The Negaverse treated her like a dog, petting her and coddling her when she did something they approved of, and beating her down if she happened to step out of line.

“Cyllene, it's okay,” Ganymede continued. She didn't like to see her cry. “I'm alright. Just... it hurts a little, that's all. But... you can help, you know. You can make things right. What if... do you think you could let me out of here? There are keys for the cage. I don't know where they keep them. But if you found them, we could both get out of here. I wouldn't let them hurt you, Cyllene.”

Cyllene stared up at Ganymede as she leaned against the bars of her cage and smiled at her. She winced when she spoke so kindly to her, as if the comforting tone was a slap to the face. The blonde Senshi shook her head slowly and looked away from the other girl, her lips pursing slightly.

"Don't." The more Ganymede spoke, the angrier Cyllene seemed to get. Not with her, but with herself. At least, that was how Cyllene was explaining the feeling in her own head. What she didn't realize, however, was that the Chaos that tainted her starseed was slowly but surely taking her over- like it did to all agents of the Negaverse. It made her do things that she didn't want to do, it made her follow orders blindly, it made her angry.

"You can't tell me none of this is my fault, Ganymede. I chose this. Maybe I didn't burn you or hit you or do whatever other terrible things have happened... But I did bring you here. You can't deny that, y'know?" She looked up into the very exhausted looking blue eyes in front of her. "Please don't ask me to do that," she whispered to her. "I want to. I want to help you but if I let you out... I know that Azurite has been to see you and Valhalla because she knows that you're," she paused. Frowned. "That you're important to me. If I let you out, they might hurt her or someone else that I care about and I've already made a big enough mess of things. I live down the hall from a General King, there is nothing you could do if they wanted to hurt me. I'm sorry that that's selfish, I don't want to be, really."

Cyllene's hands went to her own chest and she pulled out the starseed that once shone brightly- now blackened with a blue outer glow and cracks throughout it. She held it out to the Eternal to show her, taking a shaky breath. "I can't help you. Because they have control over this. Over me." The starseed hummed gently in the palms of her trembling hands. Her hands lowered to her lap and she stared down at the starseed that she held. "And there is nothing that I can do about that now. I chose."

She carefully return the starseed to the blackened hole in her chest. "So you're stuck here as their prisoner. And I am too."

“I don't think that's selfish,” Ganymede said.

It hurt to hear Cyllene say these things. It brought the guilt back in waves. If only she'd been a better teammate, said a little voice in her head. If only she'd been less self-absorbed. If she'd paid more attention to the people around her instead of focusing on herself, maybe she could have done something to stop this before it happened. If she'd only taken the time to notice something other than her own problems, she could have done so much more to save Cyllene before it even came to this point.

Guilt was a bitter pill to swallow, burning down her throat to sear her insides like acid in her gut.

“It's not selfish to look out for yourself in a dangerous situation,” she continued, as reassuring as she could. “I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked you to help. That was selfish, asking you to put yourself and other people in danger for my sake. It's fine. I'll be fine. There's nothing they can do to me that I'm not prepared for.”

Suddenly she paused, horrified as Cyllene's hand went into her own chest. Ganymede reached out through the bars of her cage like she meant to stop her, but of course she couldn't. She stared at the starseed with something like pity. She knew what one was supposed to look like. This was painful to see.

“You don't have to be their prisoner,” she said, desperate to find some way to convince her. “We can help you, Cyllene. We can help you take your life back. Once we get out of here... if we get out of here... you could come with us. We can take you to the right people. It doesn't have to be this way, Cyllene, if you don't want it to be. You can make a different choice. Just... believe in yourself. Believe in me... please...”

Cyllene mostly just stared at Ganymede for a few long seconds before shaking her head slowly. "I can't. I mean, can you even do that? Go back and forth like that? What if it killed me?" She glanced over her shoulder at the guard before standing and moving closer to Ganymede. Her hands gripped the bars of her cage, her eyes wide and frightened.

"An Agent came to you guys and the Negaverse forced her back here. I believe in you, I really do and if there is anyone that can help me with anything I think that it would be you. You're kind to me even when I'm like this. Heck, even when you're in there, after I brought you here and after everything that they've done. But..." Her voice dropped to a whisper. "What if they don't just let me walk away? What if I'm forced back and I become some empty shell? What if it's worse next time, and I can't make my own decisions anymore? What if I don't remember anything and I hurt people? I don't want to be worse."

The blonde smiled at Ganymede and released the bars before taking a step back. "I appreciate it, I really do. But maybe it's just not in the cards for me, and that's okay. I'll be fine." She put a gloved hand over the hole in her chest. "I'll be fine and so will you. We'll just... We'll be fine separately, that's all."

The SpecOps guard at the door cleared his throat, and it was clear that Cyllene's time with Ganymede was quickly coming to an end. How much of their conversation was he able to overhear? The Acid Senshi desperately hoped that the answer to that question was 'none of it', for the sake of herself and for Ganymede.

"Maybe when you get out of here, we can talk about this again."

Hopefully the Senshi of Lust has as much faith as Cyllene did that the captives would get out of this stupid fun house.

“Cyllene...”

She wanted to argue. She wanted to counter every statement that fell from Cyllene's lips. Surely there had to be a way she could convince her. Ganymede couldn't believe it to be a lost cause. Admitting that would be like admitting defeat, and she wasn't ready to be defeated yet.

Hope was strange. It deserted the people who might need it most in times when it could have made all the differences; in others it remained strong even in those dire situations that seemed beyond hope. Ganymede had no hope that she would make it out of this place alive. She knew that she would be killed when she no longer served any purpose. There was no other option. She could not be corrupted, and to hope for a rescue would only end in misery when none came. Death was the only answer.

But she had hope for Cyllene. She wasn't entirely lost. Her kindness proved that. No one with a soul completely consumed by Chaos could possibly care the way Cyllene cared. Her soul may not be entirely pure, but it was not entirely corrupted either.

“We'd protect you,” Ganymede said. There was a promise in her voice. “If they came for you, they'd have to go through all of us. Val and me. Europa, Pasiphae, Kallichore. Do you remember them?”

Her eyes darted in the direction of the guard when he cleared his throat. Ganymede mumbled a curse under her breath.

She needed more time.

“I'll find you,” she said. “If I get out of here. I'll find you and we'll fix this.”

They'd have to go through all of us.

That one statement alone filled Cyllene with a sense of hope that she hadn't felt in... Well, since she corrupted into the Negaverse.

"I remember."

Suddenly Cyllene disappeared from in front of Ganymede, and soon reappeared within the blonde's cage. Without taking a second to think about her actions she was dropping to the ground and pulling Ganymede in for a probably-too-tight hug, fresh tears stinging her eyes.

"You will get out. And we will find each other and we will fix this."

And with the most awful ache in her chest, Cyllene pulled away from Ganymede and blinked out of existence a second time- only to teleport to her empty apartment, exhausted and emotionally drained. Where she would remain, alone, to think about what she had done and what her future had in store.
