Appearance: As seen in her artwork Celine has long, platinum blonde hair. She keeps it long because she enjoys how it dances in the wind. Her eyes are a deep golden honey color, which she says shows just how sweet she really is. Spending so much time out in the sun gave her skin a golden brown color. Celine is hot natured so she wears thin material clothing which leaves as much skin exposed as she is allowed. Her favorite accessory is her boots which she never goes without, it is the only non-naturally made clothing she brought from home. She is a strict vegetarian and tries to use good and spices from her own little garden when eating.
Personality: Celine is a very down to earth girl who enjoys spending her time outside with nature. She can always be found planting some sort of seed or bulb around the academy grounds, believing being close to nature helps one center themselves. Some have joked due to her green aura and her love of sunshine she's part plant. She is very protective of nature, giving people who litter a good piece of her mind. Lately she's having to adjust to indoor classroom settings. At the commune they lounged on bean bags or mats while the teacher talked, sometimes sitting with them or walking around the room. Sitting at a desk and taking notes were not something she found stimulating and occasionally spaces out in class. She is always found in the seat closest to the window, so she can keep close to nature.
She prefers more naturally made items and clothing as well as healthy, organic, and above all vegetarian meals. She doesn't mind others eating meat or sugar filled refined sweets but things such as that tend to make her feel ill if she eats them. She keeps lots of dried fruits and berries for sweet snacks. Celine was raised by a community rather than a single family unit so she is obedient to adults and always trying to help mentor and mother younger children. She feels its everyone's responsibility to help each other, thinking selfishness the worst trait. She realizes not everyone was raised the same but when people behavior in a selfish manner it annoys her to no end. She can't always stop herself from admonishing someone for their behavior.
From all this sun loving behavior Celine does have a fear of the dark. She still sleeps with a nightlight and will drop all appearances of calm until she has a light source. She hates to be teased about it, holding back tears half the time and defending herself the next. For these reasons she specialized in light manipulation. She can always create a light in the darkest of places. This new life has been a shock to her. From a home where everyone helps and works together to a place where everyone seems to work for themselves. She finds it unnerving but hopes to adjust soon but for now she feels a little lonely.
History: Celine was born to Josephine and Bastien Raymonde on a local commune. She is one of five children, two boys and three girls, who all grew up with an entire community to raise them. In the commune children are parented by many, though birth parents have final say over any major decisions. All the children respect their elders and do what they can to assist the commune as a whole. All children are educated at the commune both through large classes combining multiple grades and home schooling with parents. All children are taught the basics required by state law but in a more natural environment. Celine's favorite class was biology since it was always taught outside. Sometimes they would take field trips to organic farms and grocery stores to understand how easy it was to live a natural life without artificial fabrics and chemicals.
Her two twin brothers, Martin and Marian, are the eldest. They are wood carvers and always give Celine a new wooden animal for her brithday. Of the three girls Celine is the eldest. Her two younger sisters are Angelique, the seven year old, and Vivienne, the four year old. The commune itself was a simple affair, a large group of people who wished to live a more organic lifestyle. There were several in the commune who had psychic powers and were treated with great respect. Those who received the most respect had animal telepathy or mind over body powers. They all had received training at the academy, even the Head Gardener was a former Psychonaut who retired to live a peaceful life.
Celine loved her life there, she took to gardening quickly and trained with the head gardener, then her powers began to manifest. At first it started with simple tools. Celine would find them dropped in the woods or in the fields and be able to return them to their proper owner. The Head Gardener was the first to notice this ability and decided to test it. She purposely had two people claim to own the same item Celine had found. Without blinking an eye she identified the correct owner. When asked how she knew which was the correct owner she said, "she just knew".
The Head Gardener explained his suspicions to her parents. Celine was surprised and felt honored to have been blessed with psychic abilities. It made her mind wonder as to what other abilities she could master and bring back home. Her parents were thrilled, thinking how much their daughter could learn from nature with psychic abilities! Her brothers were hesitant to let their little flower leave, none of the children really left the commune for long lengths of time. Her sisters were even wore, clinging to her waist and legs with tears streaming down their eyes the day she left for the academy. Celine promised to write them every day and visit as often as possible. It tore at her heart to leave them, she was their constant companion and tutor. Angie asked who would teach her the times tables and Vive cried there would be no one who could read her favorite book to her like Cici did. It took her parents combined efforts and a promise to call home every weekend before the girls released her. Her brothers demanded to drive her to the academy, just to say goodbye one last time. Due to her age they decided to send her straight to the academy for training, skipping camp entirely though Celine was very quite grumpy about missing such a great experience. She hoped this summer she could spend time there, finding all sorts of new plants and places to explore.
