Destiny City's parks were Cybele's main hunting grounds, which meant she knew their layouts quite well. Today, she was using that knowledge to her advantage, even though at the moment she wasn't hunting, or even Cybele. She was Fleur, and she was taking a shortcut, or at least what she thought was a shortcut, to a friend's house. It probabally wasn't a good idea. Although there was no risk of getting lost or anything, it was very nerve wracking to be in a place where you normally fought monsters, and not being able to tell if there were any monsters around.

Fleur took a deep breath and thought for a moment. Logically, she knew they didn't come out much during the day, and she could fight one if it did show up. She had her henshin pen. Right. Thinking that way helped. She slowed down a bit and let her thoughts drift from extreme wariness to other things, like the essay she was going to have to work on after this. Why did she have to take World Literature and analyze the Bhagavad Gita if she was majoring in theater, again?

She was still looking around, though, and something caught her eye. It wasn't a youma, though. It was... a senshi?

Warhol sat awkwardly, legs folded under her on the bench, eyes kept alert for anything. The cat had talked and made some modicum of sense, but she'd henshined up maybe once or twice since then, and it hadn't been for very long either time: one was just to get to school faster, and the other had just been to get home faster. She didn't want to fight anyone! That was kind of scary, and then they'd pay attention to her, and she was...really not ok with that.

She hugged herself against the cold breeze, shivering on the park bench. Maybe someone would notice her? School had started recently, and it was just out of school; and her backpack sat under the bench. But how much of that first time, with the talking cat, had been a dream? Warhol didn't know, and she wanted to find out. So she'd aimed to come and sit in the park, the place of her awakening, until someone came by or until it started to get dark.

A second glance confirmed that the girl was, in fact, a senshi. Maybe her outfit didn't scream magical warrior as much as some of the others that Cybele had seen, but the tiara was there, and the bows, and the habit of sitting on park benches, waiting for things to happen. It didn't look like much was happening, though, and she knew from experience that things wouldn't get particularly interesting for a few more hours. Well... she wasn't in too much of a hurry, she could stop to chat.

Fleur ducked behind some bushes to power up. They were prickly and her fuku wasn't the warmest, but it was better than waving her henshin pen around ad declaring that she was a senshi in front of the other girl... and anyone else who might be around. That done, she brushed herself off and walked over, waving a little. "Hello! My name is Cybele, I'm the Senshi of the Hunt. How are you?" She curtsied as she introduced herself, feeling a bit more self conscious than usual. Luckily, there weren't too many people around. There didn't seem to be anything dangerous in hiding, either. The only aura Cybele could feel was the one coming off the girl. "Are you... patrolling?"

Warhol startled back to total awakeness, hands smoothing down her shorts nervously, still sitting on her knees. All in all, the picture of nervous curiosity. "Um...hello! I'm -" the word Ivy died in her mouth, because that wasn't her name when she looked like this, when she was strong - "I'm Warhol, Senshi of Moods." She smiled, extending a hand to Cybele, eyes wide and kind. "I'm...I'm good, I think."

"Actually, I'm...really new...I was waiting to see if anyone could come by and tell me anything. I've only powered up into this -" she indicated her fuku, hands waving noncommittally - "a few times...so I just wanted to know if anyone could tell me anything about it. I don't really know what my magic does, but it did something bad to this guy in uniform, and..." Warhol shrugged. "So no, I'm...I'm not patrolling. I haven't." She shyly ducked her head.

Cybele accepted the handshake and sat down, adjusting her skirt into a perfect fan around her legs as she listened. "That's all right. I probabally have some of the answers you're looking for." Her smile softened into something more genuine, but somewhere underneath it was a twinge or doubt. When she'd welcomed Medea into the White Moon Court, had she been this confused? Maybe, but she'd been determined, at least, to find her own answers, and she'd been confident that hunting the darkness was the right thing to do. Things were different now, but she still wanted to help, to give this girl the facts before the Dark Mirror Court or Negaverse got a chance to.

"You have good instincts. The parks are good places to meet people like us, although most of them won't be here for a few more hours. The 'guy in uniform' was probabally from the Negaverse, which sounds like a place, but is actually a group of people. They say they're trying to protect the city, but all I've seen them do is summon monsters and kill innocent people. We're the senshi, the White Moon Court... although, some of us don't like that title... and we're trying to stop them, among other things. There are also the knights, who are our allies but have different magic, and the Dark Mirror Court, which..." she paused for a moment, not quite sure what to say, shook her head then continued, "Are not our allies."

There. She'd gotten through the basics of the war, even if it was just the very basics, without an emotional breakdown. "Also, there are magical cats who can talk. They're the ones who awaken senshi, I think." She blinked. "Wait, did the cat that gave you your powers not tell you any of this?"

She blushed, embarrassed, and kept staring at the ground: "Actually, the cat told me a little bit...like the Negaverse is Chaos? And the Knights are part of Order, and people who are corrupted by Chaos can be purified. But there was a lot going on...and I thought it was a dream, for a few days. This is actually the third time I've powered up, but I got the pen in December; and I'm just been -" Warhol sighed. "...I don't know. I was scared, and when the cat gave me my powers, the Negaverse member almost died..."

A brief moment of hesitation. "...What's the Dark Mirror Court? Are they senshi too? And, um...how old are you? I haven't seen anyone my age yet, but...I haven't really looked. But the few times I've powered up, everyone's been older than me, so...I just wanted to make sure. What if I'm a mistake?"

“First of all, you’re not a mistake,” said Cybele. “I was sixteen when I awakened, and I didn’t know I was supposed to power up again for a few months. You’re doing much better than I did, I promise. I’m nineteen now, but I’m sure there are some other senshi your age around.” Even though Warhol wouldn’t look at her, she was still smiling gently, doing her best to make eye contact, and hoping that some of her words would sink in.

“The Dark Mirror Court are also senshi. They’re Chaos, but I don’t think they’re the Negaverse’s allies, either, at least not anymore. I don’t think they’ll attack you. They can walk through mirrors. My relationship with them is… complicated, but I don’t trust them.” For a moment, she paused, wondering if she should try to bring up how she’d joined them in the future and regretted it. “Just… if they try to recruit you… if they say that their Court is less messed up than the White Moon Court, or that the Negaverse isn’t the problem, or something like that… they’re lying. Trust me, I know from experience.”

She left it at that and quickly changed the subject. “But… did you say you almost killed a Negaverser right after you awakened?” It was surprising coming from someone who was so new and seemed so innocent, and Cybele wasn’t sure if she was impressed or disturbed. “What does your magic do, exactly?”

"So there are other fourteen-year-olds around...?" The girl nodded, trying to keep the information in her head as best as she could; she could remember it, she really could, she was good at some things. "The miss who was there...Megiddo -- she said not to trust senshi wearing black. So I guess the Dark Mirror Court wears black too?" There was a hint of excitement to Warhol's words, because this was a whole secret world she was being initiated into, and that was about the most exiting thing that had ever happened to her. "I mean...they can't recruit me if I don't want to be, right?"

There was a brief moment of stuttering at Cybele's insinuation. "No, no, I didn't try to kill him -- that was Megiddo -- I don't know what my magic does, but the Negaverser was trying to kill her, and my magic made him just..stop." Warhol shrugged, a little upset and a little shaky upon recalling the events in question. "He seemed like he was empty, or something. What does your magic do?"

"Megiddo?" She'd heard the name before. It was one of Megrez's friends, she was almost sure, one of the ones who had encouraged her to kill. "That makes sense. I've heard of her. She might have been talking about the senshi in the Negaverse, too, but yes, the Dark Mirror Court wears black. Most of Chaos does." The question caught her off guard and she frowned. "Can you be corrupted if you don't want to be?" She turned away, staring straight ahead, thinking, again, about the future. "Not easily. I haven't heard of it happening," yet, "But... yes."

After a moment, she shook her head and made herself smile again. "You made a Negaverser stop trying to kill someone? That's impressive. That's awesome, actually. My magic makes people stronger. Well, actually more focused and a little bit faster, I think. Like..." she glanced around to make sure nobody was staring at them, then softly called out "Hunter's Deadly Grace!" A phantom bow formed in her hands, and she tilted it so that Warhol could see better. "Oh, and it looks like this, which has been useful before." That explained, she pointed it straight up, fired, and grinned as the magic swirled around her and things shifted into sharper focus.

The official description for her super magic is kinda confusing, it's basically just a moment of pretty light and then 30 seconds focus/speed boost.

"So I have to be careful," she muttered, arms unconsciously crossing across her chest. "Is there any way to tell...? If they're trying to corrupt you?" Warhol blushed in embarrassment, looking down again. "I'm really sorry I'm asking so much, I just don't want to have to ask again." There was a second of brief confusion - "It does something to enemies, but I don't know what, really."

She stared at the bow intently, taking details in. "Does it feel like anything in particular, the bow...? I do a lot of work with my hands, so I just like knowing what things feel like, sorry. But that's a really neat effect!" Warhol seemed to perk up upon the activation of Cybele's magic, kind of like offering a puppy a treat.

"Yes, be careful," Cybele agreed. "You'll know if they're trying to corrupt you, yes. They have to do something to your starseed... which is this crystal thing, in here." She tapped beneath her collarbone. "I've heard people call it your soul? They glow; they sort of look like souls, and Negaversers can reach inside your chest and get them. They probably won't corrupt you. Like I said, it doesn't happen that much. They'll probably take it out, and you'll die."

Cybele paused. Was that too harsh? With her magic active, she was focused on providing information, not sugarcoating it. "Just... use your magic if they get too close to you, maybe."

She made herself smile again as she moved to the next question. "My bow? It's not real, it doesn't really have weight or anything like that. It feels sort of like... air?" To test her theory, she reached forward and closed her fingers, like she was holding a bow. After a moment, she shook her head. "No, not really air. Like how air would feel if air were a lot thicker. I'd let you hold it if I could, but the moment I let go of it it just disappears." She shrugged apologetically.

"Anyway, don't feel bad about asking questions. It's why I'm here. Is there anything else you're confused about?"

There was an impromptu shudder that went straight from head to toe at the mention of dying. "...have you seen it happen to anyone...? That's horrible...I can't imagine killing anyone. How can they do it?" Warhol's face was filled with distress in the way that only someone new to it all would be, and she hugged herself tight, trying to disguise her fear as shivering from the cold.

"No, that's okay, I was just curious." There was a brief, stuttering pause, and then: "...would it be okay if I used my magic on you? I'm trying to figure out how it can make people feel, but...it's not really clear. I don't know how long it lasts, either...that would be important in a fight, right?"

At Warhol’s question, she glanced away again, this time attempting the impossible task of flattening her puffy skirt. “…Yes…” she answered simply, thinking of the two dead starseeds she’d held in her own hands, one from the pocket of an agent she, herself, had killed. She tried to think of some sort of encouragement, but anything honest she had to say would only make things worse, and it still wouldn’t prepare the girl for what she was probably going to see.

She looked back up at the mention of magic, though, then nodded. “All right.” Even though she'd seen a lot of magic at this point, she still found it fascinating... fascinating enough that she was, apparently, willing to let a brand new senshi test 'horrible' magic on her. She half smiled. "So, we're testing the effects, the time limit, and how far it goes, maybe? That's important, too. And... I think that's everything, actually."

"I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable," Warhol mumbled, wringing her hands - but at the acceptance of her offer, the girl's eyes lit back up. "It's alright? I've only used it twice so far, so I don't really have a database to look at, but if you say so...!" She looked surprised and happy, as if she'd expected Cybele to turn her down. "Um, here goes, right?"

"Warhol Mood Reversal," came a light laugh, and the Senshi crossed her hands over her brooch as it produced a ball of energy -- she tossed it up and down in her hands for a second, then lightly lobbed it at the young woman, biting her lip. "Tell me how you're feeling, okay...?"

Quote:
Sailor Scout Attack: Warhol Mood Reversal!
Action: Sailor Warhol crosses her hands over her brooch, and it creates an approximately tennis-ball-sized ball of colorful energy that falls into her hands. She then throws the ball at the enemy.
Effect: If this attack connects, it temporarily reverses the enemy's primary emotion for twenty seconds; i.e., bravery to cowardice. This attack does not affect emotions other than the primary, so the affected may find reason in their other emotions.

Cybele half frowned when Warhol summoned the ball of energy, suddenly having second thoughts, and she flinched when it actually hit her… before smiling, dreamily. “I feel… relaxed?” There was a hint of surprise to her voice, but she certainly wasn’t complaining. She leaned back and curled her feet under the bench, not caring, for once, about how professional she looked. For a moment, she even closed her eyes. Then, somehow, she remembered she was there to talk, not to rest. “Yeah… relaxed,” she murmured.

The talking didn’t work so well, although she tried. “Warhol Mood Reversal? Is that what you said? So it… uh… reverses your mood?” A moment passed. “…Sorry, was that obvious? I was nervous, maybe… before, since you were acting like the magic was so horrible. Now I’m relaxed, like I said.” No, the talking was useless. She knew she wasn’t saying anything helpful, so she allowed herself to close her eyes again once more and waited for the magic to wear off. “Just a second…”
