Leucite had been keeping a low profile as of late. His breakup with his girlfriend had shaken him, but he had finally stabilized by doing what he always did when he was upset. He threw himself headfirst into his work. These prisoners would hopefully provide them with useful information on their enemies.

He entered the room of his chosen target - having decided to see what he could glean from this one. He didn't speak to her at first, simply checking her bonds, ensuring they were tight and that she was properly secured to the floor. Then he placed his hand lightly on her chest - ignoring any complaints she might give, and withdrew just enough energy to make her weak but not mess with her head. Then he pocketed the orb.

He had asked Amethyst to come and ensure that this senshi wouldn't pass out on him during the interrogation - he did not plan to go easy on her.

"Well, I won't beat around the bush," Leucite began. "Consider yourself a prisoner of war, girl." He watched the senshi, his own brown eyes attempting to hold her green.

"Let's start with your name..."

For moments at a time, she was home. Safe and warm in her bed, the cat sleeping at the foot of the bed watching over her. The first time she could remember starting to wake up, that was exactly where she thought she was. Granted she usually didn't hurt in the morning but stranger things have happened. Such as waking up in this bazaar place.

She had actually stopped crying, the act draining her almost as much as their needless efforts. Even so, the moment the unknown male entered her area, the tears welled right back up again. She had no clue who he was and saw that as a good thing. She'd done nothing to him, not even a misguided action of throwing a shoe at him.

The act of draining what energy she had hit her like a wave. There was no time to be offended with where his hand was as the wave crashed and pulled away. Dropping her head, the effort to hold it up seeming to be too much.

Even so, as he spoke she forced herself to look back up at him. Prisoner of war? Blinking, her tear drenched lashes sticking at times causing even more blinking. "Thats a good thing, right?" The question wasn't directed at him, even if she looking in his direction.

Words like Geneva floated around her groggy head like a bright golden cord. Other words, like a voice whispering to cling to that golden thread as tight as she could came through the fog. Capturing her alive must mean they weren't going to kill her. Why bother keeping her alive if they wanted her dead?

Her name? Which name did he want? "Tabby.." That name, her nickname had never been said to her in anger, it was yet another golden cord. Giving him her full name, she hoped to cooperate" Tabitha."

This. Conducting an interrogation on one of the captured enemy Senshi wasn't exactly his cup of tea and Amethyst knew it as he observed Leucite silently from the chair that he had sat himself in since entering the room alongside the Spec-Ops Lieutenant. His role in this was to ensure that the Senshi remained conscious and survived whatever Leucite was about to put her through in order to get what they wanted. Nothing more. Nothing less. He reminded himself of that over and over in his mind even though he couldn't help squirming at the thought of the countless possibilities that things could go from here, especially if Leucite found her uncooperative in his attempts at getting her to talk.

Well, he really hoped for her sake that she wasn't the hard-headed type. All they needed from her were some answers and then they would be on their way to report back to their superiors. Things didn't have to get ugly unnecessarily so long as she worked together with rather than against them.

If Leucite had known what was going on in his compatriot's head he would have escorted him out the door and sorted him out right then and there. But he didn't - so it wasn't addressed. Frankly, he didn't care if the girl gave them anything useful. This was the only time to instill any level of fear they could into their prisoners... before either killing them as an example or allowing them back into the wild to taint the rest of the bunch.

Fear was toxic after all.

However this one before him seemed to be willing to talk, so he gave her a warm, almost, apologetic smile.

"Thank you, Tabitha... Do you have any friends or family that are also senshi or knights?" He moved over to her, his hand reaching out to gently trace a finger over her cheek. "Please don't lie to me Tabitha... I'd hate to have to mark up this pretty face of yours..."

Looking to the both of them all she could do was shake in her seat. What were they planning on doing to her? With her heart bouncing against her chest, she just cried.

The smiling did wonders for her sobbing. Maybe if he was smiling that meant he was friendly? Latching on to that hope she was almost tripping over her own words eager to earn good favor. "I do-I do not. As far as I know, my father is the only family I have. He didn't know what that monst-youma was so I don't think he was ever a senshi." If she was so terrified that would be funny. Picturing her burly father in a fuku. Another golden thread to hang on to.

The cord of terror still sung within her, what if he didn't believe the truth? What if she didn't know the answers? Sitting on the mix of hope and terror, she didn't know if she should cry or cry harder.

The amount of palpable fear and terror that Leucite had managed to instil in Tabitha was as sickening to Amethyst as it was intoxicating to the Lieutenant. The Captain took a deep breath, trying to compose himself as he rose from his seat to circle the Senshi. "What about your friends then? There must be someone or a group whom you'll usually work with given how long you've been a Senshi..."

She was young. Too young. It was all the Senshis' and Knights' fault that she was caught and had to be put through all this. If she wanted no part in the war after everything, she could still live, go back to the life that she had and all would be well.

No one had to die.

Well at least Amethyst had some common sense. "Your comrades, girl, who are they."

He was beginning to get annoyed though - and if she didn't give him a satisfactory answer soon he'd have to step up his actions.

He felt a little bad dragging the doctor into this - but Amethyst had to see what he was capable of at some point.

There was no need to protect the cat, she hadn't come to protect her. Looking to the first one that asked her, she started to speak but instantly shut up. The moment the other spoke he had her full attention.

When it was clear they were both asking the same question, she answered eyes darting between the two, "There was only the cat. Black and gray, American short hair." Swallowing a moment, she searched through her brain. What was the cat's name? Only thing that came to mind in the moment was what she called her.

"I called her Belle, she never said to call her anything else. She fought mostly, I distracted. It was only us, until the ball.." Instinctively she flinched, they didn't have to have touched her for her to fear a hit. The answers she was giving didn't feel enough and not giving them what they wanted terrified her.

Searching frantically she tried to do something to help her case, " We never went after a person, ever. Youmas but never a person!" She was friendly, never hurt one of them, just the monsters. "I can only heal.." A healer alone was no threat to anyone. Maybe, just maybe that could be useful to them?

"Where can we find this Belle then, Tabitha?" The cat. Of course it had to be a darn cat who brought this once innocent girl into this war. Amethyst came to a stop with a frown on his face. A cat who fought while a Senshi provided support. It was a remotely plausible yet worrying notion in itself. Still, he couldn't quite find it within himself to believe everything she had volunteered just yet.

"What about other Senshis? Knights? Surely you have at least one friend who's... human." Staring at her, he kept his distance for now, letting Leucite decide how far to take this interrogation. This was an area of expertise that was under Spec-Ops after all.

This was getting them nowhere. Leucite needed answers - now.

"Enough. - " he said, cutting off the Captain, something he wouldn't have done otherwise, save for the simple fact that it was Amethyst and he knew the other Negaverse Officer wouldn't call him out on it... at least he hoped.

"This is getting us nowhere, it's obvious her kind doesn't understand simple requests." He moved over to the girl and undid the bonds of her right arm, before growling low and with all of his strength, wrenching the limb behind her until he heard a loud, satisfying - pop.

"Tell me what I want to know, or I will do the same to your left."

Tabitha was more then eager to answer the captain's question even if it wasn't a very good answer. "I don't know. Belle always found me when I was in trouble. She wasn't at the party either." Belle had never let her down before, so where could that cat be? Tears fell as she imagined the poor creature hurt in the attack or frantically searching for her. It was the cat's fault she was in this mess, but still, she liked the cat.

When she was left alone, which seemed like most the time between when she passed out, it was easy to see the cat in the shadows. It was easy to pretend that she was there, waiting for the right time to free her.

Those were easy, living the nightmare was so much harder. Starting to try and answer his next question, she was silenced by the same words of the other. He seemed rude to her. While her mouth was shut tight until he said more, she spent more time looking at the captain with her brow knitted. Despite the situation she was in, Tabitha was still able to show concern for the negavirse captain. Just wasn't right, to snap at a team member like that. Not that she didn't do the same to the cat more than once herself.

Her eyes followed Leucite's actions ash e undid one of her bounds. Was he letting her free? A moment of confusion passed with rapid blinking. Just a half a second of hope before he yanked it away just like he yanked her shoulder out of socket.

In sports a dislocation wasn't unheard of, she'd had one or two herself due to softball. That being said, they still hurt like crazy. With absolutely no attempt to be 'strong', Tabitha jolted forward and screamed. Her eyes shut tight against the onslaught of pain, she just screamed at the top of her lungs. Between the cries of pain, harder body shaking sobs flowed with no attempt to hold them back. Tears again and would quickly exhaust her in the drained state she was kept. Maybe, just maybe oblivion would take her again.

Between the heavy sobs she asked, "How can I prove I am telling the truth?!" For that matter, how could he tell if she wasn't? All eagerness to help was faded quickly, sickening realization that he might not believe anything said sunk in.

If it wasn't the truth he wanted, then what did he want?

There were plenty of other places that Amethyst wished he could be at right now. This was wrong. The part of him that was Boaz Crawford the doctor at Destiny City General Hospital strongly objected against what Leucite had escalated his actions to in a bid to get Tabitha to talk. Was this really necessary? Would he too be expected to exact something similar should he find himself in the Lieutenant's place as the interrogator?

He looked away briefly when Tabitha started screaming and crying at the pain from the dislocated shoulder. He couldn't do this to another human being even if she was supposed to be the enemy. This was something entirely opposite to the Hippocratic oath he had taken upon his graduation from medical school. But he couldn't simply step away for a moment since he had no idea what else Leucite would do to her the moment he wasn't there.

"Tabitha." He wet his lips, calling out her name to try to get her attention as he tentatively approached. "Listen. We have medication and people trained in first aid here on site." Giving her a moment to properly process what he had said, he went on. "We can treat your injuries. Make you more comfortable. But we'll need your full cooperation before we're allowed to call them in."

He really hoped for her sake that she would take the bait and spare the both of them from whatever Leucite had in mind for her next should she refuse to comply.

"******** that, reach into your bag of tricks and give her some of the good s**t, Amethyst, maybe she'll talk then." Leucite looked at the Captain. He knew if it had been anybody else his a** would have been slammed face first into the ground and under a boot - but he knew Amethyst was a big-ole-p***y...cat.

"I mean, you're a regular ******** Felix the Cat, give her some morphine or sodium pentothal or something, s**t. Drug her, get her to be compliant."

He always knew Amethyst's ability to be a walking pharmacy would come in handy.

Sobbing and curling in on herself as much as she could, Tabitha prayed she could be anywhere else. This wasn't what she signed up for and certainly didn't live up to the dreams she had when it started. Korlandria was strong, Tabitha was not. Even on a good day there wouldn't have been much she could do. This was a bad day, a very bad day.

Hearing her name she looked up through tear soaked lashes to the Captain. From the start he seemed to be the more compassionate of the two, "You've had it!" Her voice was shrilled with pain and desperation as she shook in her seat. The other one was going to hurt her more because she couldn't give them what they wanted.

"I don't know how to make you believe me but I am not lying. I'd swear on a bible that I am telling the truth." When she became a scout she gave up her religion feeling above the need. Yet here, in this place of pain, she was reminded that all she was taught about hell was true. In this moment, she regretted turning her back on God.

Between what he knew Leucite was fully capable of doing and Tabitha's pleas still ringing in his ears that she had already told them the truth, Amethyst was nearly at his breaking point. Just as he was about to turn to Leucite and tell the Lieutenant in his face that the medications that he had access to weren't supposed to be used for any other purpose short of helping others, something in him snapped and he stretched a gloved hand out to gently pat Tabitha on the head a few times instead.

"I believe you." Turning to look Leucite briefly in the eye, he wore a kindly smile on his face as he informed Tabitha of his decision to declare the interrogation over and done with. "Which is why I'm calling this investigation to a close so that we can tend to your injuries in view of your willingness to fully cooperate with us." Grabbing a tourniquet from the medical kit that he had brought with him, he tied it around her left forearm, giving her a brief explanation as to what he was about to do next before he went back to retrieve what he would need from the kit.

"You're probably in a lot of pain at the moment from your shoulder. I'm going to give you something strong in a bit to help with that so just relax. The worst is over now." Once he had an IV set up, he could sedate her with some sodium pentothal which would both make her more comfortable as well as afford Leucite another chance at seeing if he could get anymore out of her. Win-win situation for everyone involved.

This at least was something that he could deal with.
